We Know God is Considerate

We Know God Is Considerate

Sweeter, sweeter than a honey comb;
Is the Word, yes it is true.
God speaks to us through the Word of life:
And His love speaks through too.

We know our God is considerate;
When He loves the sparrow.
When He notices the nobody;
And makes him a hero.

Cause God looks at the heart of man;
And considers his ways.
He 's the only one that really knows;
Who's seeking their own praise.

We know our God is considerate;
When in a garden fair.
He will take notice of a lilly;
That goes unnoticed there.

He's numbered the hairs upon our head;
He knows our every tear.
He considers even the little things;
He is always aware.

We know God is considerate;
When He uses a boys lunch.
Though it might seem like a little thing;
He turned little into much.

Children's Song

John 6:9 - 13
There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many.
Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

Judges 6:15
And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.

Luke 12:6-7
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God.
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

 Matthew 6: 26-28 b
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

An Answered Prayer

An Answered Prayer

I know that this is such a simple thing and maybe it will seem like nothing compared to some of the great things, some people see the Lord do.  I was just out taking pictures and I said "Lord, give me something wonderful to take a picture of".  Just a couple minutes passed by when I looked over and saw a green head looking up a hill at me.  A mallard duck of all things.  He was a surprise because I had been to the park so many times and have not seen a duck.  We moved back to Ohio seven years ago and visited the park once before we bought our home.  I have visited there many times and not one duck.
At that time I didn't know anything about a mallard.  At first, he stayed his distance from me but I sat down and watched him for a little while.  He finally made his way over to me and sat in the water right in front of me as though he knew me.  I knew he was an answer to my prayer, but then questions came to my mind.  Why is this little guy here?  Is his wing hurt?  Shouldn't he be flying somewhere for the winter?

So I started researching and now I know He's only going to be here until his wings are finished molting.  He's shedding his old feathers and growing new feathers at the same time.
The next time I saw him he was standing on a rock and opening his wings.  I wanted to get a picture of it, but I missed it.    Eventually, He made his way over to me and then a dog scared him a little and he swam away but headed back to set in front of me at the water's edge.

Then a couple teens were walking by and I asked " have you seen the duck?"  I told them about how I prayed the Lord would give me a wonderful picture to take.  I told them that he opened his wings, but I missed getting a picture and how I wished that he would do it again.  Then he came to shore and opened his wings about a foot away from me and then got back into the water.  I still missed the picture because my camera card was full.

Today I was able to get pictures of his wings outstretched and also see him fly across the pond.  The fall leaves and colorful reflection of the sun have made everything about these photos look so beautiful.  It was an effect all by itself, especially on the evening the sun was setting.

  It was very interesting to see him try to catch a dragonfly and watch him suddenly completely vanish under the water. Then suddenly he reappeared flying across the pond.  I think something was biting him because He was going under the water and shaking his feathers as though He was standing on an anthill.  I guess I should understand that because that actually happened to me once.  I was picking up apples in our backyard as a preteen when I found myself upon a red ant hill.  They were everywhere, believe me when you have red ants in your pants, there's sudden moving around alright and wearing pants no longer become a problem.  If you can picture that, you can picture what the duck was doing because he was doing some moving.

I was so happy to see the Mallard and to be blessed by him.
 I cried by the water's edge because:
Sometimes God does things,  just to show us that we are loved and we can tell other people that God still cares about the little things.  Because sometimes God, uses little blessings to do something you'll never forget.  Little blessings can turn into really big blessings

Keep Your Helmets On - Football Devotional

Keep Your Helmet On

Could you  imagine having a whole football team playing without a helmet?  It would be a disaster.  As rough as the game can get there would be injuries.  Just this past week I know one of the guys got his helmet ripped off his head and had an injury of some sort and was bleeding.  I'm  not saying he didn't put it on properly, but could that make it easier  for the enemy to rip it off his head?
In not wearing a helmet they wouldn't be keeping their head safe, they would be risking their own mind. Even if they had a helmet on, but did not put it on correctly, it still would not keep them completely safe.
A helmet was made to keep a football players head and mind safe from injury, but if they choose not wear one it doesn't work.  Any kind of head gear is to keep a person's safe from  injuries.  A person for example riding a motorcycle without a helmet would be at a greater risk for a permanent head injury than a football player.
The bible tells us to put on the helmet of salvation.  God tells us to put on a helmet because we are in danger without one.  Knowing we are in a spiritual battle as a people, we know God's not speaking of physical injuries in this passage.  Salvation is what  we put on when we accept Christ as our  personal Savior.  We become safe  or saved for eternity through what Christ has done for us.  Because we are sealed by what Jesus did for us.
We are to keep our minds in Christ Jesus and not allow satan to have any strongholds in our thought life.  We are to fill our minds with the Word, knowing that the devil  has taught many to play mind games with the unsuspecting and in deceit can collect information, posing as a friend.  We know this because we know Judas did this to Jesus.
It is vital not to let contrary ideas enter our minds as fact knowing the bible opposes the idea.  To do so would be the equivalent of a football player receiving an injury which causes brain damage.
Remember to keep your helmet on , put it on correctly and don't let anyone try to rip it off your head.  Cause  in the spiritual battle the devil wants to get to your head, but don't let him.  Keep your helmet on straight.

Keep Your Helmet On Straight

Ephesians 6:17

 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Ephesians 4:30

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

In Jesus, We Can Rest

 In Jesus, We Can Rest

 There's no peace in your sin;
When you're in love Him.
There's no peace in your sin:
When you are born again.

Though some say sin is right.
It's roots are of the night.
God hates it and will care;
And you'll find no peace there.

Don't fall for devils lies;
A trap is his surprise.
This world has fled away;
To try some other way.

Peace is found in Jesus;
When things in life grieve us.
Peace that comforts our soul;
His love makes us whole.

His Holy Word steers us;
And the Psalms cheer us.
His hand reaches to save.
Through life's troubled waves;

Peace, joy unspeakable;
Dreams not unreachable.
Loved, forgiven and blessed;
In Jesus we can rest;

Did They Say He Was Powerless?

Did They Say He Was Powerless?

As they  platted the thorny crown;
And placed it upon His head.
Did they say He was powerless -
To do anything He said?

As they lifted Him to the cross;
Thrust  nails within His hands.
Did they say He was powerless-
 When the winds know His command?

When the last nail pierced His feet;
Did they cheer at his defeat?
Did they say He was powerless -
When His blood dripped from His feet?

As they mocked and watched Him anguish;
Near His final suffering breath;
Did they say He was powerless -
As they watched life turn to death?

Many arose from the grave of death;
Just after our Savior died.
Did they say He was Powerless -
When the earth was opened wide?

As darkness filled the sky in grief;
Earth shook and opened its graves.
Surely this was the Son of God;
The centurion was saved.

When He was placed within the tomb;
With a  great stone placed before.
Did they say He was powerless -
When He appeared at the door?

It may have looked like His defeat;
As they took His body down.
But Jesus is all powerful;
The power of death was bound.

All death and hell were cast down;
When He arose from the grave.
Jesus is all-powerful ;
And did all to seek and save.

Our Lord was never powerless;
Though it seemed so dark and grim.
And with all power in Jesus name;
We walk in power with Him.

Luke 23: 25

And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

Matthew 27: 51-53

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
And the graves were opened, and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Are We In The Autumn Of Our Country?

Are We In The Autumn Of Our Country?

 Autumn was made by God's creative hand.
Each color, each thing that blesses our land.
We know God has been so good to us:
This nation grew strong, when in God was trust.

One nation under God  blessed  by His light;
But because of sin, we have turned from right.
Are we in the autumn of our country?
Are we at risk , of losing liberty?

Though we know Autumn's  months are colorful;
Filled with apples, corn and festivals.
Then the colors we enjoy now will fade;
And the cold will chase autumn away.

Our God looketh down from upon high;
I'm sure with a sadness in His eye.
A nation that once feared the Lord seems  gone;
But we as Christians must continue on.

When the Autumn months have come and gone;
But the world goes around and on and on.
Looking at what all we have left behind.
But  it will be too late to change our mind.

 Thank the Lord for what all He's given us;
He's  been more than just a God to trust.
He's  blest this country so and has been;
Our Father, our Savior, and  our best friend.

One nation under God  blessed  by His light;
But because of sin, we have turned from right.
Are we in the autumn of our country?
Are we at risk, of losing liberty?

You Never Know, It Just May Be

 You Never Know, It Just  May Be

 Angles unawares, watching over us;
Angels from heaven above.
Angels of mercy, sent by God himself;
Angels , his servants of love.

They gather together in the heavens;
And worship and love the Lord.
Sometimes God sends them on a mission;
That was planned before the world.

In a world that's becoming a dark place;
And farther away from God.
Better learn to be kind to strangers;
Even if you think they're odd.

You may be entertaining an angel;
Even if  you're unaware.
So don't think God will not notice;
If you're cold and just don't care.

Sometimes God will send down his angels;
To minister to the saints.
When they've been through a terrible storm:
In their weariness grow faint.

So always ask the Lord what to do:
When a stranger passes through.
You never know, it just may be;
The angel He sent to you.

Jesus Is The Peacefulness

Jesus Is The Peacefulness

Jesus is the peacefulness:
That  lives in my heart.
And if I seem to get worried:
I know where to start.

Down on my knees a prayin'
And askin' the Lord.
To give me the faith I need;
To survive this world.

Jesus is the peacefulness:
That  lives in my heart.
When I start to feel anxious:
I know where to start.

Singing a song to Jesus:
And praisin' his name.
For the hope that He giveth:
That He's still the same.

Jesus is the peacefulness:
That keeps me going on
Jesus brings me joy somehow;
 When seems hope is gone.

Jesus is the peacefulness:
That  lives in my heart.
And when I feel fearful:
I know where to start.

Remember God's faithfulness;
Through scriptures been read.
How he can move mountains;
Raise sick from their bed.

His love has sustained me;
Though I've felt apart.
Jesus is the peacefulness;
That  lives in my heart.

What's Goin' On 'Round Here?

What's Goin' On 'Round Here?

 What's goin' on 'round here?
What's goin' on 'round here?
Somethin' s strange goin' on;
Hard to put my finger on.

God only knows, it is true;
The strange things I've been through.
God can see the galaxies;
And He knows all about me.

What's goin' on round here?
What's goin' on round here?
I just don't understand;
But I know I'm in His hand.

God only knows, it is true;
The strange things I've been through.
God can see the molecule;
And I know He is  never fooled.

What's goin' on 'round here?

What's goin' on 'round here?

If Our Hearts Were A Garden

If Our Hearts Were A Garden

If our hearts were a garden;
For everyone to see.
There is nothing more beautiful;
Than a garden of peace.

Not a garden of hatefulness;
Not a garden of strife.
Not a garden of jealousy;
But a prayerful life.

If our hearts were  a garden;
Would they see Jesus there.
As they walked amongst the harvest;
Would they see the Lord's care.

Bless-ed are the peacemakers;
Who seek to please the Lord.
Who's garden has blessed many;
In this God forsaken world.

 If our hearts were a garden;
For everyone to see.
I would pray they'd see Jesus;
Alive in you and in me.

Peace Maker Or Trouble Maker?

Peace Maker Or Trouble Maker?

I was thinking this morning how the Bible teaches us to be peace makers and asked myself what is the opposite of being a peace maker?  Well all of us know  it would be being a trouble maker.  I thought of Jesus and asked myself the question, What would cause a multitude of people to rise up against Him in anger enough  to cry in unity, " Crucify Him!"  It had to be some trouble makers, in this case, it was the religious leaders.  They were envious of the crowds following Jesus.  They didn't attack Jesus directly they attacked him indirectly, which would have been hard to prove had God not recorded in the Word of God.  They stirred up the chief woman of the city spreading doubt and accusation. They didn't just go out to kill His influence, they were out for blood.   I'm not sure what all they said to get it to happen, but we know one thing they weren't being peace makers they were being trouble makers.  Some people say words don't hurt, but words can make people mad.  Words can be used to manipulate a crowd of people into doing something wrong.  The envious religious leaders, just had to set back and watch it all happen as though they had done nothing wrong.  Jesus went from being followed to being flogged.

Forgiven

Forgiven

Forgiven;
Forgiven of all my Sin.
Forgiven;
Forgiven because of Him.

Forgiven;
His blood was shed for my sin;
Forgiven:
Held against me not again.

Forgiven, Oh, Forgiven:
Jesus died to pay the price.
Forgiven, Forever
Because of His sacrifice.

Forever Forgiven;
Forgiven in Jesus.
Forgiven in Jesus.
Forgiven , In Jesus

All Of The Tears Will Be Gone

All Of  The Teardrops Will Be Gone

Commit your heart to love the Lord:
To love Him, in what you do.
Commit your  heart to righteousness:
 God will be pleased, pleased with you.

Be looking to be a blessing:
Be a living sacrifice.
Be thoughtful,  be considerate;
In a world that is not nice.

Considering others better;
Better, than you do yourself.
Looking to the things of Jesus:
Is the fountain of  real wealth.

Let our lights shine in the darkness;
Pilgrims of God passing through.
Hold tight to the hand of Jesus;
When things seem - too much for you.

Suffering is not forever;
When you are a child of God.
We've a hope that's ever after;
When we leave this earthly sod.

In this life may be tears and grief;
And horrors, too great to speak.
But we know this life is temporal;
And our home awaiting sweet.

At his return, we'll be caught up;
Could be night or noon or dawn.
One day within our Savoir arms;
All of the teardrops, will be gone.
