Becoming a Father Changed Enoch's Life

Becoming a Father Changed Enoch's Life

There is a man mentioned in the bible whose name was Enoch, the bible does not say a lot about him.  We know he was not walking with God.  He was somehow living for himself.  He was not making God first in his life.  Maybe he was living the wildlife.  Maybe he broke his mom and dad’s heart by not following the ways of God.  There are very few words said about him, but we do know that God was not that important to him.

Then  Enoch became a father and his whole world changed.  He had a wife and a new child.  It was after the birth of his first child that he realized his need for God.  He realized his responsibilities.  Becoming a dad changed his whole life.  He became a very Godly man and feared God.

Enoch lived closely with God and never died, but the bible says, God took him.  God has a very special purpose still to this day for  Enoch.

Genesis 25: 21-24
And Enoch lived sixty and five years and begat Methuselah:
And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

My Precious Mother My Precious Friend

Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Love You Mom

Love You Mom

Mom, you have always been an influence;
In all the things that we do and say.
You have loved us all, through all of these years.
Which you have shown in all kinds of ways.

There's not been a time you're not on our mind.
In ev'ry little thing we do each day.
You will always be here within our hearts.
In all of the choices that we make.

Your heart of courage has inspired.
Your faithful hands have served willingly.
Your care for us has not been hidden.
Your friendship, Mother, precious to me.

I've understood you more than before;
Mothers live a life of sacrifice.
For the longer I live, the longer I know.
Mothers, do not have an easy life.

Your work has been the work of champions.
To me, nobody compares to you.
You make the best fudge, That's what I think.
Little things like that matter too.

Mom, sometimes it's so hard to express;
Just how lovely a person you are.
With pen in hand and ink on paper;
I speak with love for you and all you are.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom

We Need Your Blessing

We Need Your Blessing

Oh Lord, we need your blessing.
Oh Lord, we need you near.
Speak to our hearts this moment.
Help us, Lord, to prepare.

Give to us words of wisdom;
From your heart to our souls.
Truth and grace they come from you.
Lord Jesus, take control.

Without you we are nothing.
You are our Ev’rything.
You are the light in our hearts.
And the flight of our wings.

You give us courage to try;
Give us strength to go on.
Give us hope for tomorrow.
Your love goes on and on and on.

You’re our best friend forever;
No other friend like you.
You comfort us, you shield us.
In a world that is confused.

Oh Lord, we need your blessing.
Oh Lord, we need you near.
Speak to our hearts this moment.
With Words, we need to hear.
Oh Lord, we need your blessing.
We want to love you more.
Bless your people now we pray.
With what they need today.

So Many Names

So Many Names

Names so many names in prayer;
we bring to you this hour.
We ask these things in Jesus' name.
We need your love and power.

A prayer now we bring to you.
For the sick and for the feeble.
For the weary and for the poor.
For lost and lonely people.

We bring to you today these names;
Who cry at night while grieving.
Eyes are heavy but sleep is thin.
No words will be relieving.

O God to speak a gentle peace;
To hold, to calm, and remedy.
Put heaven's songs upon their hearts.
As angels sing God's melody.
