Joseph - Poem

Joseph

 Joseph loved Mary and took her as his wife;
He obeyed the Lord who told Him what was right.
She was to give birth to the holy lamb of God;
He stood there beside her on that Christmas night.

He loved her, and he held her near in his arms;
A man of valor and faithful, unselfish;
No doubt His heart was filled with wonderment;
Knowing He would haven the king of all Kings.

A quiet man, with Godly fear and Godly care;
Who prayed and desired God's holy will done.
He too rejoiced at the birth of our Savior;
The child he would hold and love as his own son.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

Christmas Note

Friends,
My prayer today is that each one of us and our families will be abundantly blessed  this Christmas with gifts far more meaningful than just things.  May His joy fill your heart and peace light your way. May His presence impact our hearts and souls in a way that causes us to be more like Him. Things are not the reason - but giving is one way that we can be like Him because He gave us everything.  _ Susan Nikitenko

A Christmas Prayer

A Christmas Prayer

Father God,

Soon it will be the eve of your Son's birthday.  We have decorated in honor of the memory that your only Son  was  born to the world in human flesh.  He was tempted in all like manner as we have been tempted but  without sin.  Your motive is and was love and mercy where none was deserved.  That first Christmas you celebrated your Son's holy birth with the rejoicing of angels and a bright star to lead those seeking to worship.  You lead worshipers to the stable where Jesus was born.  His birth was one of the most amazing miracles of all time because you came to us in human flesh in the form of your Son, Emanuel, God with us.  You were conceived  miraculously  of the Holy Spirit and born to the virgin Mary.  As we pause to honor you Lord, on this Christmas day.  We want to thank you for all the blessings in which you have blessed us.  Thank-you for  the love of fellow believers and the example of your love that they show each and every day.  I pray that we could exemplify your love in a way that would be pleasing and edifying to others that witness the light of your Son in our hearts.  We all have things to learn and to overcome.  Please help us to show the love and long suffering towards others even if it seems undeserved.  Just as we have not deserved the great gift of your Son to the world.  Thank you dearly for family and the many wonderful years that you have given us to enjoy them and love them.   Help us to love them in the same unconditional love that you have shown us.  Give us wisdom in what we say and what we do each day.  That we would not be a stumbling block to anyone that comes within our reach.  Like the wise men who followed the star, Dear Savior, I pray you remind us daily to seek your will and your purpose through the pages of your Holy Word, which is a light unto our path.  You are the Light of the world and also the day star arising in our hearts.  I pray you fill our hearts with the desire to worship you and follow your footsteps and in so doing be the light of the world you intend for us to be.  Thank-you for You, Thank-you for Christmas and thank-you for your most merciful love towards us that has no end.

Happy Birthday.

Amen:

The Candle Lighting

 The Candle Lighting

 There is a multitude of people;
Gathering from all around.
Waiting for Christmas festivities;
To illuminate the town.

Twinkling lights along the roadside;
A parade of carolers;
Singing noel, noel, noel, noel;
While listeners are stirred.

Shopping is open, and cocoa is served.
People coming in from the cold;
Registers ringing, ching, ching, ching, ching;
Gifts for both young and old.

Everyone is handed a candle;
All come together to pray.
Then a sea of candle lights, light the streets;
In honor of Christmas day.

Children sing  oh, halleluiah;
In a live nativity.
All to honor God's gift to the world:
God's love sent to you and me.

The Perfect Gift

The Perfect Gift

I was thinking today about how God sent his Son to us.  It was motivated by love, a love willing to give his most precious gift.  God realized that we were unable to ever live good enough to go to heaven when we die.  He knew that there was only one way.  He sent His Son.  Jesus was born and He grew and live a perfect example so we could learn from His life.  Then He was rejected and crucified maliciously.   God knew Jesus would be rejected and that He would not only be crucified but all the powers of hell would torment him at His death.  He took all the torment that you and I deserve and He willingly let others beat him and crucify Him.  We know it was willingly because the bible says  He would lay down His life for us .  The bible tells us He was God in the flesh  and He could of destroyed all His enemies if He wanted to but He didn't.  You know Why?  Because of love.  He loved us even when we didn't love him.  He served as a perfect example of love yet, the majority did not want His love, they wanted something else more than God.  Some people thought they were good enough, that is when someone is too prideful  to see his own sin. Some wanted to follow other Gods that have no love neither could they hear or see because they were not real.  God is real and has real love.   He loves you and He wants you to become His child no matter your age, no matter your race, no matter what you've done.  You and I are the reason God gave His Son.  That my dear friends is why Christmas is so wonderful and that is why He IS, the perfect gift.

Jesus Is The Christmas In My Heart

Jesus Is The Christmas In My Heart

Jesus is the Christmas in my heart;
Jesus is the light within my soul.
Jesus is the joy we need to know;
Jesus makes our hearts as white as snow.

Jesus is the melody that plays;
Every time I seek to praise his name.
Chime bells a ringing, children singing;
Hallelujah, His name to proclaim.

Jesus  came to earth as a baby;
A holy child born in Bethlehem.
Born to a Virgin a miracle;
God's Son come to save earthly men.

 Jesus is the Christmas in my heart;
Jesus is the light within my soul.
I pray that you too will find Jesus.
 The best Christmas you'll ever know.

Rejoice Every Christian

Rejoice Every Christian

Rejoice, every Christian;
Jesus came into the world.
Rejoice do not be silent;
Sing with joy that He was born.

Rejoice because God loves us;
More than we could ever know.
But we know that it is true;
Because God's Word tells us so.

He came to die for the world;
That did not even know Him.
He gave freely of his love.
So much to die for our sin.

He came to die for the world;
He took upon him our shame.
He took a beating from hell;
They  brought disgrace to His name.

So when you think of Mary;
Holding the holy baby.
She knew what He came to do;
To deliver me and you.

Rejoice, Oh Christian, Rejoice;
Jesus came into the world.
Rejoice, Oh Christian, rejoice;
Jesus our Savior was born.

Just A Little Note About Christmas

Just A Little Note About Christmas

When my children were little we always told them the truth about Santa Claus. But we still watched all the Christmas shows. We still do. We still put our stockings by the fireside. We still put up pretty lights. We've had fun and memories......But the main reason for Christmas at our house is celebrating the birth of a King, Jesus, Son of God. We wanted our children to believe us when we told them about Jesus. I just always figured they would lose faith in what we say if they ever found out it wasn't true. Jesus is all knowing and all seeing... No other is like Him.. I'm pretty sure God would want us to let our children know that Jesus is very wonderful and very special
especially on his birthday.

He Is A God Who Can

He Is Still A God Who Can

In my hand I have no dime;
But I can give to you my time.
I can work and I can pray;
I can smile along the way.

What you see is not always;
What you think it seems to be.
I can only give to you;
What has been provided me.

Through  the power of prayer;
And a life living by faith.
I know God can move mountains.
Through any problems we face.

No impossibilities;
No improbabilities;
No matter what others say;
Nothing will stand in His way.

If God wills it, it will be.
If God builds it, it will last.
Even though He's old fashioned.
He's not living in the past.

He is still a God who can;
Do beyond the works of man.
In all the things we cannot do.
             We must not forget God  can.

Thank-You Dear Father

Thank- You Dear Father

a prayer to our father in heaven  (song)

Thank you, dear  Father, for all that you do;
It is Thanksgiving, a day to thank you.
Here at our table with love all prepared ;
A  beautiful setting and delicious food.

A feast of remembrance of all you provide;
A time to give thanks , for all you supply.
As we bow our heads in grateful prayer;
May we always know you're a God who cares.

Thank-you for children who learn how to pray;
Who learn how to thank-you  This thanksgiving day.
Be with those sick, both our family and friends;
And thank-you for angels that watch over them.

Thank-you for fam'ly and laughter and hugs.
Thank-you for friendship and music and love.
Thank-you for sunshine that's light up our hearts.
And all of the blessings that we can think of.

Thank-You So Much.
Happy Thanksgiving

There Are So Many Things

There Are So Many Things

There are so many things to thank you for;
So many reasons to give you praise.
Too many blessing to be counted, Lord
You have blessed us in so many ways.

You have prepared an everlasting home;
And paid our way through your precious blood.
We can count on you  more than any friend;
You have loved us with an unending  love.

You have given us endless things to learn;
You have given wisdom to discern.
Oh Lord you've been so very good to us;
But yet so many love to fight and fuss.

Help our hearts continue to thank you Lord;
Because of your mercy each day.
Help us be thankful in life because;
Heaven is just  a vapor away.

 Thank-you for the sunshine in the morning;
That shines through my window pane.
Thank-you that you care for the sparrow
And thank-you for just knowing my name.

Thank-you for the children that you've blessed me with;
And a home to keep us safe and warm.
Thank-you for your grace along the way;
To help us through life's troubled storms.

Thank-you for the opportunities;
To show love to others in my life.
Thank-you for all those that love me;
And thank-you for their  sacrifice.

Thank-you for this country and  our freedom;
And for all those who fought so to be.
Lord help us to realize how precious it is;
To be able to serve you in liberty.

There are so many things to thank you for;
So many reasons to give you praise.
Too many blessing to be counted, Lord
You have blessed us in so many ways.

Are You Ready?

 Are You Ready?

I was thinking today about how a fireman rushes into a fire to save the life of a trapped victim.
This particular picture gripped my heart because of the concern I see on this man's face as he grasps this small boy in his protecting arms.
He has prepared himself fully for the risking of his own life to save this child in dire need.
He has been equipped with the right protection so he himself can make it through without getting trapped or injured in any way.  Sometimes they do get injured and sometimes they may even die in
the attempt to save another.  This boy was saved by a very brave man who was ready.

Just as firemen are dressed in their firemen s gear, we as Christians need to put on the full armor of God in order to be ready to deliver someone from the fire.  The bible talks about eternal fire, a fire that cannot be quenched. It is a place called hell.

The motive of a fireman is one of love and care.  He knows that even the smallest burn can cause allot of pain that lasts a very long time.  He knows the desperate situation he is running into.
He knows without him it would be highly unlikely that the person inside would live.

God has given Christians a job to warn every man and teach every man.  We are to have compassion on the multitude that will not only face a fire but  live in eternal suffering and agony in a fire that will not be quenched.

The fireman brings water to quench the fire of a burning building. Without the water it would be most likely a hopeless condition.

We as Christians have the water of the Word of God and without it there would be hope for no one.
As we go into a world to pull others from the grasp of sin. We must be careful not to be overtaken by the
same dangers that have trapped them.   Just as this fireman had to be ready and knowledgeable.
We need to be ready by being strong and courageous in the Lord, by knowing the Word of God,
loving  the Word of God And obeying  the Word of God.

When we talk of fire, I am reminded of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who were commanded by the King of Babylon to bow before an idol .  They were thrown into a fiery furnace for refusing to break one of the ten commandments.  God has commanded us not to bow to any other God but him and to put no other Gods before him.

Daniel 3:12-29

 There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.
Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were ready to die for what was right.  They did not have to fear an eternal fire because they were saved and knew if they were to die they would go to heaven.  They had faith so real that Jesus was seen in the fire with them.  The fire had killed the men heating the furnace by just the heat that escaped,  but it didn't even leave the smell of smoke on Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

We need to be so close to God that when we go out into the world that it does not effect us. It will not rub off on us.

They were ready!.... Are we ready?

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Responding To Problems

Responding To Problems

 I know that everything that happens in life has a reason, but it's up to us how we respond.  There are things in life that happen that are very hard to get past.  I think of Joseph who went through a number of things that would be very hard to get over easily.   It must of been very hard being rejected by his brothers , who had shown no mercy at his cries when he cried from a pit in which they had thrown him.  Worst of all they took him and sold him into slavery and had not one drop of mercy as he looked back in tears.

I know it must of been very hard for Joseph to get past being accused of something he didn't do.  Especially because the accusation against him would harm his testimony as a Godly man.  Then to be thrown into prison for years and seemingly forgotten.  How he must of been tempted to become bitter at his situation. He must of spent many hours praying and wondering in his heart why.   Still he trusted and stayed faithful to God.

Then came the day  he became the "savior of the known world." God had blessed him with the unusual ability to know things through the interpretation of dreams.  He was blessed with the gift
even as a child.  The gift was one of the reasons his brothers hated him. His family did not believe him but the talent that God had given him would be used to save many people from starvation.  God had a greater purpose.

Now this story I'm about to tell  you may not seem to be as hard a thing to go through as what Joseph did,  but I know it is something  kids can learn from today.  When I was around seven or eight years old. I was an A student in my music class.  The school was having a Christmas program and I was in the bell choir.  I was all excited about it and ready to give it my all.  We stood up to perform our song and it was perfect as far as I can remember, but to my surprise, not a good surprise at all,  The boy behind me decided he wanted to move my chair from behind me.  The teacher motioned for us to all be seated and what happened?  I fell flat on my behind and bells were ringing everywhere.  Kids were angry at me for messing up the whole program.  They stood there laughing and some were mad.   The teacher pulled me aside and guess what,  She informed me my grade would be lowered  by one letter because of what someone else did to me.  Now I don't  remember what happened afterwards,  I'm sure I  was very heart broken, but I do know this.  When you get punished for something that someone else does  to you it's not something that you get over easily.

Through life we go through things sometimes, so that later on, we can help others who may be going through tough times.  We may have even been unjustly treated just as Joseph.    God has given us the story of Joseph as an example how to react to life's problems. In the story of Joseph,  He becomes a very powerful man over all of Egypt.  He even had the power to put people into prison, but Joseph also knew to show mercy as he was lead by God.  Joseph was a powerful man but He also was a very humble man because of everything God allowed him to go through.  He was able to react to those who treated him unjustly with love and forgiveness, but he also used caution in his choices.  He was prepared by His problems for a greater purpose.

When problems come along in your life, remember Joseph and learn from his choices.  God has a purpose for you and if you stay faithful he will bring you to that purpose and your eyes will be opened to the why, just as Joseph learned why.

Genesis 50:20
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

Genesis 45:6-8
 For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.  And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

Dying Without The Light - updated

Dying Without The Light

This past October I decided for the first time to carve some pumpkins.  Now last year my son in law and daughter carved the pumpkin for the  "Pumpkin With A Purpose Lesson", that I wrote last year, but we only used it in the classroom.

I had around eight pumpkins.  I  was thinking how  pretty they would look all lit up with
 the gospel message shining through.  Talk about scaring some devils away. - he he
Anyway, we carved six of the pumpkins and set them outside awaiting the day to light them.

We apparently had carved them too soon and the weather got warm and they slowly started to fade away.  My husband and I were the only ones here.   I have no little children here to enjoy them anymore.  We never have any trick or treaters, though we normally buy candy just in case.  So the pumpkins  just sat out  there and died without any light.  They said nice things like, Jesus loves you  and even had a cross, but there was absolutely no light on the inside.

This reminds me of people who have trusted in the wrong things for salvation.  The bible talks about them.
Like the people who will say  " Lord, Lord I've done many wonderful work in your name".  I'm sure they did many wonderful works even gave to the poor and the needy.  Those things are all great things to do
but there's only one way to heaven.  God's not going to open heaven's gate to one who has trusted his own good works to get him there.  I must also say though,  good works will be the fruit of a true believer in Christ.  Jesus said himself ,we shall know them by their fruit.

There are many people who wear a cross and even tell others Jesus loves them, but the question is do they have a light on... on the inside themselves.  Have they ever really trusted in the right things for salvation? Without Christ living and dwelling in our hearts we would be religious, but we wouldn't  be saved.  We wouldn't have any light.

There are many people who are like those pumpkins outside that never got lit.  They die thinking  " I think I've lived good enough to make it to heaven", but they never were lit up on the inside.  They never trusted Christ alone for salvation.  They were really good people, seemingly perfect, but it's not the right way....yes even for a true believer,  we know Christ tells us there is coming a day when every man's work  (man and woman) will be tried by fire.  Then we shall know what manner of work it was.  but for an unbeliever his works were never done in the power of Christ.  He never had a light.

We as Christians need to be sharing the gospel light,  that others may believe and receive the gospel message and in turn be a light in a dark place.

Matthew 7:22-23
 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

1 Corinthians  3:13
 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Roman 1:16
 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

There Is A Place

There Is A Place

There is a place that's wonderful;
Too wonderful to tell.
A place that is so glorious;
Where angels live and dwell.

Where happiness forever reigns;
No death forevermore.
Where Rubies, diamonds, precious stones;
Could decorate the floor.

There is no darkness in the sky;
No tears will fill the eye.
The songs will be sung joyfully;
No one will want to cry.

Amazing things will happen there;
Every single day.
No tongue will ever crush a soul[
Nor steal their life away.

No child will ever hunger there;
No pain will take control.
The crippled there will walk again;
Each broken heart made whole.

A golden street will lead the way;
To homes He has prepared.
Forever we will worship him;
Praise Him because He cares.

In heaven we will see His scars;
And fully comprehend.
The magnitude of what He did;
When He died for our sin.

His precious blood was shed for us;
His hands nailed to the cross.
His temples wounded with great thorns;
 His mother suffered loss .

His feet were pounded with the nail;
His mouth was torn and dry.
But yet with a heart of real love;
"Father forgive them!", was His cry.

In heaven we will see His scars;
And fully understand.
Like we've never understood before;
When we behold those hands.

We will love like we've never loved;
His joy will fill each word.
And when we look upon His face;
True worship will be heard.

In heaven we will see His scars;
And fully comprehend.
exactly what He did for us;
And what it did to Him.

My Little One

My Little One

My little one, at heaven's gate;
With open arms, our Savior waits.
I know that you, will never lack;
I'll see you soon, when Christ comes back.

Your little hands, will serve the Lord;
Your little feet, will ride the storms.
Your little smile, bring joy to all;
And greet me when, I come to call.

You'll see the stars, above God's throne;
I know you'll never be alone.
And when my aching arms long for you;
I know my God, will care for you.

I Love You.

Just A Thought:

If someone were to ask me if I thought angels were babies.  I would have to say that angels are angels and babies are babies.  In response to something I had read, I had asked the question to myself," what if angels did have special jobs? "  I believe with all my heart that God not only uses angels for special jobs, but he also has special jobs in heaven for a child that has died before it could ever be born or any child taken before the age of accountability for that matter.  God has jobs for all true believers that enter heaven's gate no matter their age.  I'm not sure what those jobs will be like, but I know one thing they will be heavenly, they will be joyful and they will be done perfectly.

 Hebrews 13:2
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Matthew 19:14
 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Revelations  21:4
 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Christmas Is A Way To Love

Christmas Is A Way To Love

 There's joy In knowing Jesus;
Was sent to us for Christmas.
He is what it's all made of.
Christmas is a way- to love.

Not presents or the money;
Not flowers from my honey;
Not pretty lights on the tree;
Though It's true I love all these.

Though we love, Christmas thrills;
And shopping Christmas deals.
Decorating everything;
And the carols that we sing.

Though we all like pretty things;
It's not about diamond rings.
Not about our own druthers.
It's about loving others;

The greatest of all reasons:
Is Jesus in the season.
He is what it's all made of.
Christmas is a way - to love.

Though some of us love gadgets;
Or perfumes in a basket.
Some might love those flashy cars.
Some a necklace lined in stars.

Though we love the Christmas gifts;
The fulfillment of a wish.
What if it one day it was gone?
Jesus needs to be our song.

Jesus is the joy of Christmas;
He's the reason  that we give.
He is what it's all made of.
Christmas is a way- to love.

Christmas Song - For Program

---------

I Love Christmas Carols And I Sing Them Every Christmas.  I Think They Will Always Be Part Of Me Because Some Of My Fondest Memories Surround The Traditional Songs Of Christmas.  But Jesus Needs To Be The Most Important Song In Our Hearts At Christmas And All Year Long.  He Needs To Be The Motive Behind Our Living And Behind Our Giving.

This Song Can Lead Up To The Teaching Of Contentment In The Diolog.

Though God May Bless Us With Things.. We Should Not Be Controlled By The Wanting Of Something Other.

"What Is That?" - Just A Little Note From My Past

Just A Little Note From My Past

"What Is That?"

When I was a preteen, my sister, my cousin and I had just turned the lights out to go to bed.  When suddenly we could hear something flying around the room.  "What Is That?"  One of us yelled.
We were scared and I started calling out to my dad, but he was sleeping and would not answer, so I called out to my brother and he too was sleeping, so no help came.  I laid there frightened along with my sister and cousin.  We wouldn't so much as raise one of our hands  into the air.  It didn't sound like a fly or a mosquito.  We knew it couldn't of even been an unusually large mosquito.  Whatever it was it was big.  So I finally decided something had to be done.  Whatever it was - we were afraid it could come down upon us at any moment.  So I came up with a plan to get to the light switch.  No standing was required until I could make it to the wall that had the light switch.   I slithered to the bottom of the bed, pulled the sheet loose at the bottom and slipped down closely to the bed,  onto the floor, then slid across our hardwood flooring and slid up the wall to flip  the light switch.  As soon as the light came on,  the flying whatever instantly was not flying and was completely hidden from sight.   My dad was finally awakened from all the excitement. We were far from quiet, believe me!  We looked everywhere, but where could it be?  My dad pulled back one of our curtains and there it was.  It was looking at us, making a noise and it had sharp teeth.  It was a brown mean looking bat.  It wasn't as big as we thought it would be, but it was still scary and we didn't want to get bit by it either.

My dad captured the bat by letting it drop into a paper bag.  We giggled while getting back into bed and finally we were able to sleep without fear for the rest of the night.

Thought: The bat liked darkness rather than light.

Thought: Sometimes we can't see the danger but we know it's there.

Thought: Sometimes things are hidden, but in time are found.

Scripture:
1 Corinthians 4:5
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.  (motives)

. Sin
. deeds
. motives
. God will judge

A Prayer For Our Families And Loved Ones -

A Prayer For Our Families And Loved Ones -

Sorry, for the loss of the picture links.  I'm not sure what happened.  I've asked for assistance and hope to be back to normal soon.  I leave you with a prayer as I also am praying for my own family as I pray for you as well.

Lord Jesus,  Be with the hurting tonight and those needing comfort because of the loss of a loved one.
Wrap your comforting hug around them and fill their hearts with thoughts of healing from your Word.
Bless those seeking you with your will and purpose for their lives, give them direction.  Bless those that have had a hard day with a good nights sleep and be with those traveling long distances and bring them home safely.  Heal those that feel sick and comfort those just needing someone to care.  Thank-you Lord for your
mercy and thoughtfulness towards us each day.  Keep our hearts under your watch care and protect our loved ones in a world contrary to your Truth.  In Christ Name I Pray-  Amen

Thank-You Daddy God Slideshow

Thank-You Daddy God

When I think of what I could have been without you.
When I think of your forgiveness and grace.
I can't help but cry aloud with thanksgiving;
 With much joy and a tear upon my face.
You have lifted me from the mire of disgrace;
You have washed all my sinfulness away.
You have clothed me in your righteousness;
And intently hear me when I pray.
I'm like a child holding my arms up for your care;
Daddy God, Thank-you for your tenderness.
I'm like a child twirling in your sunshine;
Daddy God, Thank-you for your forgiveness.
May my lips be filled with much  thanksgiving praise;
Not just on this coming Thanksgiving day.
but each new glad morning and each night of rest;
May my words swell with thanks as I pray.
Thank-you Daddy God, Most heavenly Father;
For your goodness, your provision, your love.
For your strength, For your direction, your peace;
And the many blessings we partake of.

Thank -you Father  (God)
