Just A Little Note About My Life

Trodden Down

Last year I planted at least a hundred plants at the park near my home.  I put my whole heart into it. I had permission from the city to plant there.  I saw many people come and go while I was planting.  Many were rude and didn't seem to like me for some reason, but I met many nice people too.  Someone told me that no one wanted to plant there because there was no way to get water to it.

I was determined and wanted to be a blessing to my community.  Day after day  I nursed it to keep it alive. I worked very hard carrying water from the stream bed while in the hot sun. It was hard but, It meant allot to me because, I wanted to bless our community... I dreamed of seeing it bloom, the following year.  Well the blooming has started.  Last week the first to bloom were the Irises. A very dark almost black one and a yellow one.  The same ones blooming in my gardens right now.  I visited the park again tonight to view the field and see if any of the other flowers were bloomed.  I was very disheartened because,  for no apparent reason someone drove a tractor through the field and had trodden down the yellow iris.

 I put love into planting the field because I wanted to make a difference in the only way I knew I could at the time. I was disappointed because many other flowers soon to bloom were trodden down as well.

 There will still be many blooms I hope and I will finally see the fruit of my labor.

In life we work a field, and in that field we plant something and what ever it is we plant we grow.  whether good or bad.  Some people may try to trample down the good things we try do for others, but they will last forever in heaven when they are done for the right reasons.

Memorial Day Thoughts

Memorial Day Thoughts

We must remember what has made America a great nation;
It was not gained by mortal hands though God used them.
It was not by chance that our country came to be, it was destiny.
Many  fought and died to establish the freedoms we enjoy today.
Many faithful soldiers have put themselves in harm's way to protect us
and to protect our freedom.   With thoughts of them this Memorial Day,
we thank them for their service and dedication.  We know they are a part
of what has made America a great nation.

 God's blessing has poured out like an overflowing stream , upon our country,
Our country became great because our country loved and feared God.  I read
somewhere one time, A country will cease to be great,
If we cease to seek God and His will.

We all have struggles , we all have trouble, but we have freedom.  Freedom is
 something many countries do not have.  We have freedom because God has
blessed us with freedom.  Let us honor Him and bless him also this Memorial day,
because when Jehovah God  is pleased with a nation, He makes it a great nation.
But a nation that forgets Him will not be blessed by Him and will cease to be great.
These words are not new ones, but real ones, that need to be repeated again and again.

In closing, I would like to once again, thank all those
 that have served our country and laid down their
 lives for our freedom.  Though my words are meager,
 my heart is earnest.  I thank our Lord, Our Saviour
 for those still serving  and ask the Lord His blessing
 be upon you  and your families this Memorial Day and every day.

Worthy Only Because...

Worthy Only Because....

I'm worthy through the blood of Calvary;
Jesus Christ laid down his life for me.
Never once did I deserve such love;
The kind of love that fulfills and frees.

Worthy only because of what He did;
He gave me love that lasts forever.
Never once was I good enough to know;
A love that not even death could sever.

Worthy only because He's all He is;
Redeemer, Saviour, The lamb of God.
Never once without Him would I be;
Sealed and held in the arms of His love.

I'm worthy through the cross of Calvary;
Jesus gave himself to supply our need.
Never , No never, could I repay;
My precious Lord, for what He's done for me.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Sweet Mothers Are Like Angels

Sweet Mothers Are Like Angels

 Mothers are like angels;
That give and give some more.
Loving those around them;
They offer their support.

Mothers are like angels;
In all the hugs they give.
In all the thing they do;
Makes life a joy to live.

Mothers are like angels.
That pray because they care.
That teach because they love;
When needed they are there.

Mothers are sweet angels;
So  give them lots of love;
We must appreciate.
All she is and all she does.

Sweet Dreams - Poster

Hugged By God

God speaks to our hearts as a child of God.
When we seek him through our difficulties,
When we praise him through the troubles.
He blesses us with his presence and his peace.

God speaks in our thoughts, reminding us of his Word,
reminding us of his promises.

When my heart sank within me. When my heart felt the saddest, was when I cried to the Lord.  I felt a warmth like a hug from heaven come over me and I felt comforted by the holy Spirit which abides with me. I was hugged by God and it is a treasure to me always.  In his still small voice, He said, I love you Susan and those words were all that mattered and I drifted off to sleep in his warm hug.

Children Need A Mother

Children Need A Mother

Mothers rock the cradle of the future they say;
But things have changed it seems.
The old fashioned ways are disappearing  from sight;
As though they were a dream.

But God has some who have stayed true to the old paths;
God's plan for families.
God is great and God is just as true as before;
While most do what they please.

Never mind that life is a temporary place;
But then comes judgment day.
When someone will answer for the child left behind;
With no mother to pray.

Some children are left alone to fend for themselves;
Even more so today.
Who will not  gain confidence through loving  parents;
Nor will they find their way.

Some may never know what it's like to be hugged;
By a loving mother.
Nor will they ever  know the love and care she can give;
Children need a mother.

A mother, a father and a place to call home;
A bed with a pillow.
To feel love and security in a family;
A place to learn and grow.

A place that feels like home; A place that smells like home;
A place of hopes and dreams.
A place that makes the heart of the child feel happiness;
A place that's calm and clean.

No place is a perfect place unless it's heaven;
Still love is the greatest need.
From special people, the love of faithful parents;
Who supply their children's needs.

A Good Mother Is A Blessing - updated

A Good Mother Is A Blessing

 A good mother is a blessing;
A blessing from the Lord.
A mother that will sacrifice;
In a very selfish world.

A mother prays for her children;
She kisses all their hurts.
She wipes away the tears of life;
To harm she stays alert.

A mother teaches her children;
To be honest and good.
Encourages them to stay strong;
And do the things they should.

A mother teaches her children;
To laugh in the hard times.
How to pray about how they feel;
When life's not very kind.

She teaches by how she lives;
While trusting Christ beloved.
By the tears she sheds in prayer;
By how she gives and loves.

Though good moms  are never perfect;
They always love and pray.
Even when the Sun does not shine.
They bring joy to each day.

A mother teaches her children;
To do their very best.
Tells them not to go with the crowd;
The faithful will be blest.

She teaches her children the truth;
To trust God through this life.
She teaches her daughters to love;
The man she'll one day wife.

She teaches her Son to be strong;
Courageous in what's right.
To be willing to stand with strength;
And be willing to fight.

She teaches them to show respect;
Where ever they may go.
She teaches them to fear the Lord;
 And God's  good seed to sow.

She teaches by how she lives;
While trusting Christ beloved.
By the tears she sheds in prayer;
By how she gives and loves.

Though good moms  are never perfect;
They always love and pray.
Even when the Sun does not shine.
They bring joy to each day.

A mother has so many jobs:
We can not name them all.
But caring for her children's needs:
Makes mother beautiful.

Oh, Let Your True Love Come Shining Through

Oh, Let Your True Love Come Shining Through
All I need to do is trust in you more.
All I need  to do is trust in you Lord.
In every situation I pray:
Even if I had a really bad day.

All I need to do is follow you;
In all the things you'd have me do.
To know that your blessing is with me;
When my hearts motive is true to you.

I know we cannot live perfectly;
And in you Lord, we have liberty.
I pray that I use your liberty;
To be everything you want me to be.

I choose to live in your presence Lord;
Let your light shine  from me in this world.
Oh Let your true love come shining through;
So others will see and come to you.

All I need  to do is trust you more;
I have seen your handy work before.
Oh , let your true love come shining through:
To that someone who is seeking you.

   Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Sometimes we are put in situations that we are unable to show our love.
but it does not mean that we do not love.
Our hearts desire can be to see the best for someone, but we are unable to show them
because of reasons that cannot be helped.  So we pray in that situation.
We should never jump to conclusions, when it comes to an action not taken by another believer,
when the whole situation cannot be seen.

We Cry Abba Father - sorrow

We Cry Abba Father

We cry Abba Father;
In anguish and many  tears.
For those lost in the fray:
We have loved many years.

Help us not live in fear:
But let us live in your  love.
 In the love of the cross:
Anointed from above.

Protect us  with your angels;
In the battle we fight.
Let us continue on, Lord;
In the work of your  light.

We cry Abba Father;
We praise you, how great thou art.
Help us, and heal us, Lord.
We sorrow from our heart.

 Help us not fail you, LORD;
Even when death  breaks us down.
 Keep your  comfort near us;
So we will not fall down.

We cry Abba Father;
We praise you, for all you are.
Here in our brokenness;
Please heal our broken hearts.

His Love Is Always Enough

This is a song about a time in our lives when we feel really sad and upset with the world and how things are in the world. Sometimes it can be in our family or it can be just how the world's going or just a terrible terrible thing that has happened. I just pray that this song will help you keep your eyes on Jesus even though there's so much in life we could be looking at that could bring our hearts completely down. I just pray that you'll find the ability to look up to our Lord in your sorrows.

His Love Is Always Enough

If you're feeling kind of sad;
And this  world just makes you mad.
Feeling kind of abandoned;
And not loved by anyone.

Just keep going don't give in;
To the anger, please don't sin.
God wants you to love and live;
And look to him to forgive.

Though grief and sorrow run deep:
When all you can do is weep.
Look to our father above;
His love is always enough.

When trouble and violence grow;
And the angry storm winds blow.
The hope of heaven still lives;
When  you know you're one of His.

Though tears will fall in the night;
Tired of fighting the fight.
The Lord will carry you through.
In grace He will strengthen you.

Though grief and sorrow run deep:
When all you can do is weep.
Look to our father above;
His love is always enough.

 Psalms 30:5
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
