February 15th, Amazing Grace Baptist Church Bulletin

A Prayer of Love for Our Church

Lord Jesus,

Thank You for loving us with a love that never fails.

You gave everything to rescue us, redeem us, and call us Your own.

Let that love fill our hearts today — not just to receive, but to reflect.

Help us to love one another as You have loved us:

with patience, kindness, humility, and truth.

Let our church be a place where grace flows freely,

where burdens are lifted, and where every soul feels seen and cherished.

Teach us to walk in love —

in our worship, our words, our service, and our daily lives.

May Your love be the light that guides us,

the strength that holds us,

and the joy that overflows from us.

In Your holy name we pray, Amen.

Of course, Susan — and I’ll place it exactly the way you like it.

.

“He Thought of Me”

Original Worship Song

Verse 1

When the cross was placed upon Him,
And the nails were driven in,
He was thinking of the broken,
He was taking all our sin.
Every tear I’ve ever hidden,
Every fear I couldn’t speak,
He carried it with mercy
When He chose to die for me.

Chorus

He thought of me, He thought of me,
When He hung upon that hill at Calvary.
With a love so deep, He set my spirit free,
I was on His heart… He thought of me.

Verse 2

When the crowd that once cried “Hosanna”
Turned their backs and walked away,
Still He offered them forgiveness,
Still He chose the cross that day.
For the ones who would deny Him,
For the ones who’d run and hide,
He kept walking toward the suffering
With my name upon His mind.

Chorus

He thought of me, He thought of me,
When He hung upon that hill at Calvary.
With a love so strong, He faced the agony,
I was on His heart… He thought of me.

Bridge

No greater love has ever been shown,
No deeper grace has ever been known.
He saw my sin, yet still took my place,
He saved my soul with amazing grace.

Final Chorus

He thought of me, He thought of me,
Every moment on the cross was victory.
Now my heart will sing for all eternity—
Jesus gave His life… and He thought of me.

“Love at the Bus Stop”

A True‑Life Style Story of God’s Love

It was one of those winter mornings when the sky looked like brushed steel and the air felt sharp enough to bite. Mrs. Carter stood at the bus stop, bundled in her coat, clutching her grocery bag and trying not to shiver. She had missed her ride, and the next bus wouldn’t come for nearly an hour.

As she waited, she noticed a young mother nearby, struggling with a stroller, a diaper bag, and a toddler who was determined to explore every snowbank in sight. The mother’s face was tired — the kind of tired that sinks into the bones.

Mrs. Carter felt a nudge in her heart. Help her.

She hesitated. Her hands were cold, her feet were colder, and she had her own errands to finish. But the nudge came again — gentle, unmistakable.

So she stepped forward.

“Here, dear,” she said softly, “let me hold the stroller while you get your little one bundled.”

The young mother looked up, surprised. “Are you sure? I don’t want to bother you.”

“It’s no bother,” Mrs. Carter smiled. “God’s helped me more times than I can count. I’m just passing it on.”

The mother’s eyes filled with tears she tried to blink away. “Thank you. I… I really needed that today.”

They talked as they waited — about life, about children, about the quiet ways God sends help when we least expect it. When the bus finally arrived, the young mother hugged Mrs. Carter tightly.

“You showed me God’s love today,” she whispered.

As the bus pulled away, Mrs. Carter felt warmth spread through her chest — a warmth far stronger than the winter cold around her. She hadn’t done anything grand. She hadn’t preached a sermon or solved a crisis. She had simply obeyed a gentle nudge from the Lord.

And in that small act, God’s love had shone brightly.

Later that evening, she opened her Bible and smiled as her eyes fell on a familiar verse:

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.”1 John 4:11 (KJV)

That day at the bus stop, she realized something beautiful: God’s love doesn’t wait for perfect moments. It steps into ordinary ones — through ordinary people — and turns them into holy ground.

"Sunflowers in Your Sancuary"

“Sunflowers in Your Sanctuary”

Lord God Ou Father, of Light and Life,

This morning we gather in Your house,

Like a field of sunflowers turning toward the dawn—

Unified, expectant, and full of praise.

Bless this church, O God,

Let Your Spirit shine upon every person,

Warming cold places, healing broken hearts,

And drawing each soul toward Your radiant truth.

May our worship rise like golden blooms,

Our prayers stretch upward in faith,

And our fellowship reflect Your beauty—

Bright, bold, and rooted in love.

Strengthen our leaders, refresh our weary,

And sow new seeds of hope among us.

Let this sanctuary be a garden of grace,

Where joy blossoms and Your Word takes root.

We thank You for the light of this day,

And the light of Your presence.

May we grow together, always turning toward You.
May our lives and choices bless you and honor You
.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Let Our Hearts Be Right

Let Our Hearts Be Right

Let our hearts be right,
That in this world we might,
Make a difference;
In somebody's life.

Let our hearts be right,
That by grace we might;
Be the difference;
That brings somebody life.

Devotion and love;
For our God above.
Resistant of sin;
Surrendered to Him.

May our lips reply;
With joy from on high.
That Jesus still lives;
Still loves and forgives.

May amazing grace;
Keep us in God's ways.
Drawing close to Him
In rev'rence and praise.

Let our hearts be right,
As we fight the fight;
That makes a difference;
In somebody's life.

With Love You Called

With Love You Called

Oh Lamb of God, I Came To Thee;
Because You First Had Love For Me.
With Love You Called, I Heard Your Truth;
Just As I Am, You Rescued Me.

I Was Perishing In My Sin;
I Had No Place to Turn, No Friend.
With Love You Called, I Heard Your Voice;
You Have Paid The Debt Of My Sin.

Lord It's True, I Once Doubted You;
And  Wandered Into  A Dark Night.
Then Dread Fell Upon Me And Fear;
I Found No Comfort, Nor Joy In Sight.

I Remembered Your Forgiveness:
Just At The Calling Of Your Name.
Then I Cried "Lord Jesus, Save Me".
Just As I Am, You Rescued Me.

I Remember Now To Thank-You;
For Your Great Work At Calvary.
Your  Blood Shed, The Price You Paid;
Oh God, What Love You Have For Me.

No Other Answer

No Other Answer

There's no better love;
There's no better friend:
There's no better way;
For you to begin.

He's the King of kings;
He's the Lord of lord.
He will give you strength;
In this wayward world.

Friends will let you down;
Tears may fall like rain.
But God is faithful;
He brings hope again.

Don't go the wrong way;
Please don't fall away;
In His loving arms:
Is the place to stay.

Jesus is our joy;
He's for you to know.
            Give Him first place:
His love fills the soul.

No other answer;
In a temp'ral world.
The answer for hope?
Make Jesus your Lord.

If Our Hearts Were A Garden

If Our Hearts Were A Garden

If our hearts were a garden;
For everyone to see.
There is nothing more beautiful;
Than a garden of peace.

Not a garden of hatefulness;
Not a garden of strife.
Not a garden of jealousy;
But a prayerful life.

If our hearts were  a garden;
Would they see Jesus there.
As they walked amongst the harvest;
Would they see the Lord's care.

Bless-ed are the peacemakers;
Who seek to please the Lord.
Who's garden has blessed many;
In this God forsaken world.

 If our hearts were a garden;
For everyone to see.
I would pray they'd see Jesus;
Alive in you and in me.

I Love You!

I Love You!

 I love you!
Is  the message - of the cross.
I love you!
Is the answer - for the lost.
Because when Jesus gave his life;
It was a great- love sacrifice.
Because there's no greater love;
Than our sins covered by His blood.
I love you!
Is found in John - 3:16
I love you!
Is the message- that I bring
Because when Jesus died for you;
What He did said - I love you.
And everlasting life is yours:
When you love and trust Him too.

Your Love

Restored August 29th, 2014

Your Love

Your love out loves all earthly love.
Your love loves the unlovable.
Your love cries out to the sinner.
It’s done the unforgettable!

Words can not express your pure love.
Men can not comprehend your love,
Yet sinners can receive your love;
Comforted by your holy dove.

Your love shines of rarest beauty.
Your love was given at great cost.
Through Love, you shed your perfect blood;
And hung from that old rugged cross.

It was love that drove you to die;
and brought life to that cold dark grave.
Now, love is looking down from heaven;
Seeks the souls of the lost to save.

T’was awesome Love, wonderfully shown;
To helpless men lost in their sin.
No greater love, there’s ever been;
Than God came down to die for men.
