God Has Blessed Me With You

God Has Blessed Me With You

You were just a little child;
I taught in our Sunday School.
You were only five years old;
When you learned the golden rule.

You learned about forgiveness;
Though you were very young.
You understood the gospel;
And learned ev'ry song we sung.

You grew to be a strong man;
One who loves, who gives, and prays.
One who stands up for Jesus:
And it shows in many ways.

In the way you love others;
Your wife and your family.
And how you give of yourself;
By grace, sacrificially.

I look up to you, with smile;
For I'm very blessed, it's true.
I'm overjoyed at the thought;
That God has blessed me with you.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

I Planted Some Seed

I Planted Some Seed

I planted some seed in my  garden;
In hopes of a beautiful crop.
But when It came sprouting up roses;
God's praise filled my every thought.

God gave me more than I hoped for;
He gave me a harvest that lasts.
He gave me forgiveness eternal;
And I 've kept this truth in my grasp.

 I planted some seed of compassion;
And I prayed Lord please help it grow.
So the Lord gave to me a remnant;
To shower with love as I go.

 I planted seeds of encouragement;
And prayed Lord bless the seed I sow.
So the Lord filled my heart with His hope;
To share with all people I know.

I planted seeds of  faithfulness;
And prayed Lord bless these meager seeds;
The Lord filled my garden full of faith;
But I found a few  little weeds.

So I prayed  to the Lord in heaven;
Please, forgive me,  the doubt in my heart.
I pulled out the weeds from my garden.
And the Lord, He set me apart.

Tested And tried I thought I would die;
I thought to myself could it be?
That I must die for others to live;
Like a pod that casts forth it's seeds.

Mommy I Need You -

  Mommy I Need You

 Mommy, I love you;
Can you hold me real tight?
Sometimes I feel scared;
When it's dark at night.
Mommy, will you sing?
I like it when you do.
I feel so happy;
And safe here with you.
Mommy will you love;
And take good care of me?
Teach me about God;
And of eternity.
Though I'm very young;
A child small and weak.
Every little word;
Is precious when you speak.
Mommy can you teach;
The things I need to know?
So I can be strong;
And happy as I grow.
Mommy , I love you;
I need you here each day.
I need your love and care;
In all you do and say.

He Has Prepared A Home

He Has Prepared A Home

 How precious our Savior;
Redeemer and King.
Watching from heaven;
Over everything.
One day He will take us;
To heaven to stay.
And there He will wipe;
All our troubles away.
This life,  but a vapor;
Will vanish for sure.
But perfect salvation;
Is Life evermore.
In heaven's no suff'ring;
or sadness or loss.
No worry, no fighting;
No tempest is tossed.
We will hold the loved ones;
We have missed so long.
We will sing forever;
With a joy filled song.
 Let us place on Jesus;
  Our burden, our load.
Knowing we have comfort;
Along this life's road.
He has prepared a home;
For those who trust Him.
Our hope is forever
In Jesus our friend.

Thinking Of You - Massachusetts Bombing

Thinking Of You

Our hearts go out to the victims of the Massachusetts bombing.  We are very sorrowful for all those directly impacted by this act of terrorism and very sad for our nation as well.  We will be in continual
prayer for all including the law enforcement as they find those responsible.

No Need Has Found A Better Friend

No Need Has Found A Better Friend

Oh My God, My Savior, My Friend;
My longing, My hope till the end.
May I praise your worshipful  name;
And faithfully serve and proclaim.
That you are the light of the world;
You are to be loved and adored.
Be  worshiped in action and word;
Be honored with hearts that are stirred.
You are the Way, the only Way;
To that home of eternal day.
You are the Truth, that leads to home;
You are the Truth and you alone.
You carried our cross up that hill;
You willingly died to fulfill;
You met the need to save the lost.
And you faithfully carried our cross.
This love is real and has no end;
No need has found a better friend.
May we praise your worshipful  name;
And faithfully serve and proclaim.
That you are the light of the world;
You are to be loved and adored.

Cleaning Up Leaves - 2

 Cleaning Up Leaves - 2

 As you know I've been cleaning up the leaves and dry stems  left from the late fall and winter months.  I thought I did a pretty good job but a small storm came through and I realized I still have quite a bit of work to do.  I looked out my window and leaves were everywhere cluttering what i'd already cleaned.

I was thinking about this and thought , you know what?   Our Christian walk is allot like this too.  We think we're doin'  a pretty good job.  But then a storm comes through,  we find out we still have allot more cleanin'  up to do.  I don't know about you.  But every time I turn around I'm learning something else I needed to learn and sometimes I have to learn the same things over again.  Especially during and after the storms of life.  God seems to use these times to show us just how much we need Him and how we better not get too big for our britches.

I'm Doing Good

I'm Doing Good

  Please don't tell me I'm being dishonest when I tell you I'm doing okay.
I'm not homeless living out on a dark cold night.  I'm doing okay.
I'm not being pulled from a car crash with the jaws of life.  I'm doing good.
I haven't been without clothes, without shoes, without love.  I'm doing good.
So when you ask me how am I doing?  If I say I'm doing good.  It's true.
Even If I had a really bad day.  I'm still doing good.

Dust Yourself Off

 Dust Yourself Off

Put on the armor of the Truth;
Put on the armor of the Lord.
 Resist the lures of the devil;
And walk worthy in this world.

Walk in the footsteps of Jesus;
Walk in His power and His might.
Trust in the power of His Word;
Stand firm in this spiritual fight.

Dust off the failures of your past;
Gain courage from our God above.
Continue on facing heaven;
Serving faithfully in His love.

Because every moment  counts;
And every soul precious to Him.
We effect each person we meet;
Get up and serve the Lord my friend.

Walk in the paths of renewal;
His blood is on the mercy seat;
Trust in the power of  His grace;
Live not in the swamp of defeat.

Be courageous, pray and repent;
Dust yourself off, and stand again;
We are more than over comers;
For We can do all thing in Him.

God said it and I believe it;
He will supply the strength we need.
Follow, trusting Him all the way;
And let Him always take the lead.

I Can Count On You

I Can Count On You

Father God,,
I can always count on your love for me.  I pray I can be counted on to love others.
I can always count on you to be forgiving.  Help me to forgive even when it's hard to.
I can always count on you to listen to me.  Help me to listen well to others.
I can always count on you to help me.  Help me to be a great helper.
I can always count on you to do what's best.  Help me to have good judgment.
I can always count on your comfort.  Help me to be comforting to others.
I can always count on you to give direction.  Help me to see that direction.
I can always count on your Word.  Help me to live by your Word.

Philippians  4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Cleaning Up Leaves

Cleaning Up Leaves

Leaves are beautiful in the fall but in the springtime they can make a big mess.  If they're not cleaned up they tend to kill any new growth underneath.    While I was blowing the leaves I uncovered some daffodils that would have never been able to grow and bloom if they stayed smothered under all those wet leaves.  So hopefully I'll get to enjoy these little blessings in late Spring.

God wants us to grow in so many ways, He wants our lives to be a blessing to others.  He wants our lives to bring Him glory.  We need to get rid of all the dead leaves bogging us down.  Is there anything holding you back from being your best for God?  If so....Then you need to clean up some leaves.

A Mother's Heart

A Mother's Heart

Little one so small, so sweet;
How precious each day with you.
Your hands, your feet, your laughter;
And each special thing you do.
Makes me smile with happiness;
My heart is greatly touched;
How blessed I am to know you.
And  I love you very much.
