Thank-You My Dear Mother

Thank-You My Dear Mother

Thank-you, my dear mother;
For a lifetime of you.
Thank-you for teaching me;
Many of the things I do.
Thank-you, my dear mother;
For all the times we've shared.
And thank-you for the times;
You've shown to me your care.
Thank-you for being you;
In all the things you do and say.
It's in my love I sing;
To you this song today.
I'm sending you a hug;
And a kiss upon the cheek.
I pray it will bless you;
When you are feeling week.
I love You Mom!

In Everything

Listen To The Song Here: U-Tube

In Everything

Go Christian go!
And serve the living Lord
Go Christian go!
Be a light in your world.
We can do it!
When it's through Christ our Lord,
Make a dif'rence;
In this Christ needing world.
Clap now your hands!
Come together and sing,
Trusting Our mighty God;
In Ev--erything.
Trusting Our mighty God
In Ev--erything.
Stand Christian stand!
In the strength of His Word.
Stand Christian stand!
Let your spirit be stirred.
We can live it!
In His power and might.
Be a lighthouse;
In a sea without light.
Clap now your hands!
Come together and sing;
Acknowledging our God;
In Ev--erything.
Acknowledging our God;
In Ev--erything.
Come Christian come!
Let's be faithful and true.
Come Christian come!
   We have so much to do.
Come let us pray;
And turn from sinful ways.
For God will bless;
When Christians humbly pray.
Clap now your hands!
Come together and sing,
Giving thanks to our God;
In Ev--erything.
Giving thanks to our God;
In Ev--erything.

When We See The Harvest

A harvest of apples, a harvest of corn;
A harvest of plenty, an autumn adorned.
With bright colored leaves, a fall festive blend;
A wonderful time for families and friends .

A harvest of pumpkins, a harvest of grain;
A harvest of bounty, and cool autumn rains.
A big harvest moon- way up in the sky;
A harvest of blessing that God has supplied.

Be grateful, be humble, give thanks to the Lord;
He has showered His blessing here in our world.
But have we been faithful , and have we been true?
Have we put God first in all that we do?

A harvest that God sees is not food or crop;
Not pumpkins, or grain, not apples that drop.
But God see the harvest of souls needing Him;
A harvest of people who need saved from their sin.

A harvest of souls and A harvest of love;
A harvest of mercy from our Father above.
When we see the harvest, let's see through God's eyes;
And share with the nations the life He supplies.

Summer Soon Ends

Summer Soon Ends

By Susan Y Nikitenko
September 2009

Summer is beautiful, arrayed with the Black Eyed Susan,
shimmering, with seas of daisy fields.
It swarms with bees, bugs and butterflies that dance, swirl and spin;
And the cherry trees bring forth their yield.

The delicious smells of picnic cookouts fill the noon day;
Family’s reunions meet in the park.
Wonderful sounds of laughter can be heard from all around;
And the chime of horseshoes until dark.

Playfully children catch the evening hour fireflies;
The crickets cry out with songs of cheer.
One can hear a guitar playing on a neighbor’s front porch;
And the frogs deep croaking by the pier.

Summer soon comes to an end and life starts to fade away ;
The seasons come and the seasons go.
We have health and vitality for only a season;
To work the plow, to water, to grow.

For the season will soon end, health will soon fall away;
Like the colorful leaves in the fall.
So work the ground, be busy planting seed while there is time.
And extend your hand with truth to all.

Live summer, giving your youth to the cause of Christ our King
Your best years spent, your best years given,
In serving , in loving, in worshiping, in honoring;
Because by grace you are forgiven.

Soon Our Jesus Will Appear

 Soon Our Jesus Will Appear

Autumn is a fanciful season;
The leaves a colorful glow.
The squirrels gather for winter;
Before the cold winter’s snow.

Pumpkins brighten grandmas front porch;
Scarecrows cheer each passerby.
Harvest cooking fills the autumn air;
Apple tarts and pumpkin pie.

The wooly bear forecasts the weather;
The flowers of summer fade.
Bringing forth life in a tiny seed;
A miracle that is heaven made.

Memories and laughter fill my heart;
When I think about it all.
The yearly hayride until dark;
And all the fun in the Fall.

I am reminded this time of year;
We must gather and prepare.
Because harvest time is ending soon;
Soon our Jesus will appear.

And though fall is beautifully designed;
And holds a place in my heart.
There’s nothing like my home awaiting;
Filled with God’s celestial art.

If we fill our lives with goodness;
And plant God’s seeds ‘long the way.
When the autumn of life has ended;
They will bloom a sweet bouquet.

More Than Just A Story

More Than Just A Story

Susan Y Nikitenko
September 9th,2012

Jesus is more- than just a story:
He is a real Savior and friend.
Jesus is not some fairytale whim;
All creation was made by him.
His real hands were nailed at Calvary;
His tears were real tears from real eyes.
His real blood poured upon the dry ground;
His anguish was real, as were His cries.
His deep compassion for you was real;
As He cried father forgive them.
His body suffered real agony;
As He gave His life for our sin.
His life was more than just a story;
But a miracle life displayed .
For real people were healed by His hand;
And His soul saving Word conveyed.
Jesus is not some fairy tale whim;
Every knee will bow one day;
To the King of kings and Lord of lords;
With all our heart and all our praise.
He is real, Jesus is a real friend.
He is real, His love makes us whole.
He is real, there is no question;
He is the life that saves the soul.
Jesus is not some fairy tale whim;
for every tongue will confess.
He is King of kings and Lord of lords.
In Him we live and die and rest.

The Fair

The Fair

a little humor

Gourds and pumpkins, apples too;
A fall  festivity.
Corn and stalks, hay bale blocks;
Displays of artistry.
All around are fairground sounds;
And everywhere you go.
There are people wandering;
Enjoying rides and shows.
Venders treats and meats galore;
 They're smells are in the air.
Not to mention cows and sheep;
You'll find the barnyard there.
Aunt Betty's blue ribbon pie;
It won again this year.
Children from the 4H group;
Are running here and there.
Pens and pencils, paper pads;
mints and fingernail files.
Commercial  booths,  handouts;
It seems they go for miles.
Gifts and gadgets are for sale;
But some things are for free.
Just  like the spinal screening;
That was offered to me.
Politicians shake your hand;
And give a pleasant grin.
Then you get a plastic bag;
To put your free stuff in.
High above the ground you see;
The giant ferris wheel .
And hear screaming from  the rides;
That give your heart a thrill.
Cotton candy is the best;
But I've had to say no.
Though I really love it;
I just don't need to grow.
When I was a little girl;
Around seven or so.
I was given a small book;
A yellow smile aglow.
Though it was a little thing;
A seed was planted here.
I remember to this day;
That someone really cared.
You get tired at the fair;
Exhausted from the fun.
But you have fond memories;
When all is said and done.

(Song)

It's been a while since I've ridden any rides at the fair.  The majority of my time is giving out the gospel message along with my family. But one of these days I'll go just for the rides and the
car derby.

There is so much I could say about the fair.  I can say, the most exciting thing about the fair is when I get to witness to others about Jesus.  When you see the light come on in their eyes.  When they understand for the first time how much Jesus really does love them.  That's the best time ever.  Because our hearts rejoice.
Question:

Someone told me the smile book  has been around for fifty years or so.  I just assumed they were right.  I know the smile was there when I was little.

Does anyone know for sure how long Amazing Grace Missions has been giving out those little books?

A Morning Prayer

A Morning Prayer

Susan Y Nikitenko
September 4th, 2012
There are so many things ;
I do not understand.
So I ask you, dear Lord;
Please take hold of my hand.
Lead me through this struggle;
This unsolved mystery.
I know I can trust you;
I know that you love me.
You are the light that shines;
Upon the path I tread.
Without you my dear Lord;
The hurt could not be said.
You are the melody;
That plays within my beating heart.
I would have no reason ;
My life would fall apart.
Simple these  words, but true;
Lord, you are my shelter.
Lord, you are my longing;
Lord, you are my helper.
That's why I'm so grateful;
For the blessings you give.
And for your precious Word;
That leads me, as I live.
Wrap my life in your care;
Fill my lips with mercy.
With your Word and your love;
 May I lead souls to thee.
Without you, I am nothing;
I'm the first one to say.
You are my Judge, dear Lord;
Please help me, I pray.

I Lift My Voice

I Lift My Voice

Susan Y Nikitenko
September 3rd, 2012

When I think of all the things you have done;
From the going down and rising of the sun.
When I behold the tiny miracles;
From the atoms to the largest animals.
I lift my voice in praises to your name;
To you my God, who's  love will never change.
A God who sees and knows my every thought;
Yet with your precious blood my soul you bought.
When I think of your forgiveness to me;
And how you've dealt with me most tenderly.
When I look upon my unworthiness;
My eyes look up with love and thankfulness.
I lift my voice in praises to your name;
To you my God, who's Word will never change.
You hold my very life within your hands;
And through my tears you always understand.
When I see the trees swaying on the hills;
And watch the clouds drift above the fields.
I listen to my heart that wants to sing;
It was love that made every living thing.
I lift my voice in praises to your name;
To you my God, who's love will never change.
I know your love and grace are more than real;
In knowing this, my heart hears peace be still.
When I think of  all the things you have done;
And meditate upon them one by one.
When I recall the greatest miracle;
How  your great love did the impossible.
I lift my voice in praises to your name;
I sing with joy, for you will never change.
You will never leave me nor forsake me;
You are my  purpose and my destiny.
