Identify Truth and Obey it

Identify Truth and Obey it

 When I use the word snowflake it has nothing to do with being Republican or Democrat.  The main thing I write about is the Bible and our Christ who came to this world to die for our sins and to overthrow the power of death and hell.  I do not believe that people should shed more tears over an animal’s death or its baby’s death than human life.  Though we should take care of animals, people are the only creation made in the likeness of God.

I heard someone calling another person a snowflake Democrat.  Well, I certainly hope they are not talking about me. Do they call someone a snowflake because they are white?  I do not think I could become a Democrat at this time in history because I would have to go against my conscience and what I believe.  First of all, I do not believe in abortion.  God hates the hands that shed innocent blood.  How much more innocent can you get than that.

The only time I use the snowflake, as an illustration, is when I’m teaching the bible.  God first uses snow as the example of our sins being washed whiter than snow.  The other way, I’ve used the snowflake as an example, is that every snowflake is different.  People are all different, even if they look similar or are identical in appearance.  They certainly have different genes, not a pair of pants, but the chemical makeup that comes from your parents.  God does not use a cookie cutter to make people.  You are unique in that God made you, you.  Of course, we should not blame God or give God credit for the wrong choices we make in our life.  Doing what’s right does not always come naturally to us, that’s why God gave us his word to help us fight against the natural man. The true spiritual side of us can only happen in us one way.  Through the belief and acceptance of Christ into our hearts and lives.  Thinking of the devil, He wants all people to go astray and follow everything imaginable against God, following after what you think to be true but is not true at all.  God tells us not to follow after the things of the flesh, but to resist the devil and he will flee away from us. He will literally run from you.  Hiding God’s Word in your heart protects you from believing a lie.  By comparing what you want to do with what the Word of God teaches will help you identify a lie.  The Bible teaches us that if you love God you will obey his commandments.

Jesus is our greatest example when it comes to temptation.  Jesus was tempted in all like manners as we are but resisted and continued without sin. He was tempted in a few ways.  Here are a few verses to remind us that we need to walk in his steps.

Psalms 37:23

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighted in his way. {ordered: or, established}

 Psalms[G1]  37:31

The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. {steps: or, goings}

 Psalms 85:13

Righteousness shall go before him and shall set us in the way of his steps.

 Jeremiah 10:23

O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

1Peter 2:21

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Mark 1:13

And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

Luke 4: Starting in verse 1

Facts To Think About:

Jesus did not eat for 40 days what was he tempted with?  Food/Bread He wanted Jesus to fall down and worship him – he made a promise to Jesus that these kingdoms would bow to him and give to him.

He was tempted with power over Kingdoms. Jesus answered with scripture.  Satan wanted Jesus to fall down and worship Him.  If Jesus had sinned the forgiveness for mankind would never happen.

Because Jesus was tempted in all points as humankind.  It says in Hebrews

Hebrews 2:18 For in that he hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are  tempted

We see in the passage that Jesus resisted the devil and answered with bible verses.  This is why it’s so important for us to hide God’s word in our hearts.  The devil wants to hit our hearts and sadly sometimes it comes from unexpected persons.  The Bible says in Hebrews 2:18 that the temptation of Satin caused Jesus to suffer, it was at his weakest moment that the devil tempted him.

This is the example we need to follow Jesus used Scripture to answer, Jesus resisted, and Jesus understood his enemy.  He also could see the consequences of sin if that were to happen.

This past week, I know this sounds kind of deep for little ones, my daughter bought a children’s book because the copyright is before the 1920s.  A to Z short bible lessons.  I had already prepared what I was going to teach but decided to start the kids on Z.  It was a spur-of-the-moment decision. In Jeremiah 39:5-9  God told Jeremiah to warn the wicked King Zedekiah to repent. God in his love warned Zedekiah. He had a chance to turn to God, However, He refused to listen.  So, the judgment of God came upon him.  He lost the war with the Chaldeans and was carried off to Babylon, they took him as a prisoner, put him in chains, and put out his eyes. He was thrown into prison until he died. Before his eyes were put out, He saw the death of his Sons.  I do not remember all the details, but I do know this, a lot of other people were taken into captivity because he refused to repent. My four-year-old Grandson could tell me who Wicked King Zedekiah was at the end of the lesson.

God gives people chances but God also brings judgment to rebellious people.  This world has lied to a lot of people, some think they are telling the truth, but they are not.  If it does not match the Bible then you know to refuse it.

If someone was calling me a snowflake Democrat, would that be true?  First of all, I’m not happy with either party right now, but I can tell you this.  I was always taught by good Christian people to vote for the lesser evil.  I’m going to vote my conscience. Remember how important it is to choose the lesser evil. God can bring judgment upon a nation because of a bad leader who refuses to acknowledge Him with obedience.

One of the temptations of Satan was for Jesus to bow down to Satan for the love of the people.

Any thought or idea that contradicts the Bible is not from God, I can guarantee God is angry over the gender stuff, God is angry at abortion, God is angry at bitter people spuing bitter words, and God is angry about rebellion and no repentance. God is angry that people are not going to his house to worship him.

The Bible says “God is angry with the wicked every day."

If you will not obey him then you do not love him.

God has shown me mercy and longsuffering and He has shown America that kind of mercy too.  God Asks, should we continue in sin that grace may abound?  God forbid.

God does teach repentance there needs to be a belief unto righteousness.  God said He would bring judgment if Zedekiah did not repent and God meant it.

Psalms 7:11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom

I Believe it

That settles it"   By unknown
