Peace Maker Or Trouble Maker?

Peace Maker Or Trouble Maker?

I was thinking this morning how the Bible teaches us to be peace makers and asked myself what is the opposite of being a peace maker?  Well all of us know  it would be being a trouble maker.  I thought of Jesus and asked myself the question, What would cause a multitude of people to rise up against Him in anger enough  to cry in unity, " Crucify Him!"  It had to be some trouble makers, in this case, it was the religious leaders.  They were envious of the crowds following Jesus.  They didn't attack Jesus directly they attacked him indirectly, which would have been hard to prove had God not recorded in the Word of God.  They stirred up the chief woman of the city spreading doubt and accusation. They didn't just go out to kill His influence, they were out for blood.   I'm not sure what all they said to get it to happen, but we know one thing they weren't being peace makers they were being trouble makers.  Some people say words don't hurt, but words can make people mad.  Words can be used to manipulate a crowd of people into doing something wrong.  The envious religious leaders, just had to set back and watch it all happen as though they had done nothing wrong.  Jesus went from being followed to being flogged.

Matthew  5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Each Battle Is Yours To Fight

Each Battle Is Yours To Fight

Lord Jesus, You are our strength, our hope.
Lord Jesus, You are our help.
Lord Jesus, You touch the heart of men;
And lift the fallen again.

Lord Jesus you know each word spoken;
In a  self righteous  motive.
Or each word of deceitful refrain ;
Each word of those that live.

Each word will be judged on that great day;
And ALL will be found guilty.
For all are sinners under heaven.
Our righteousness is filthy.

As fifthly rags- is our righteousness;
You forgive, you love, you call.
Your love knows no limits, you are good;
Undeserving are we all.

As we reach into the darkest night;
That some may see your great light.
Lord, we are nothing, nothing at all.
And each battle yours to fight.

Extra:

A thought .............

A. Strange battle strategy
B. Obedience is the sign of whether our worship is authentic. We may have the victory in Christ, but we will only be victorious against the spiritual strongholds if we fight by God’s plans and God’s strategy.
C. Obedience is a word that’s fallen out of favor. Like submission, moral absolutes, etc. Success is dependent upon obedience. Victory in battle does not come to the rogue warrior who picks and chooses which commands he will obey and which ones he will not. We access the power of God through obedience.
D. Obedience is also a sign of faith. (Heb. 11:30) By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.
