Jesus Knows

Jesus Knows

Jesus knew He would die;
A merciless death.
He knew they would mock;
With no tenderness.

Jesus  knew the high cost;
And paid it in blood.
As they pounded the nails;
With each sounding thud.

Jesus knew forgiveness;
For those that scourged Him.
And cried for their souls;
As He paid for their sin.

He knew the  great horror:
He would have to face.
He knew He had power;
To leave from its place.

He knew of redemption;
And what it would take.
He freely did suffer;
For yours and my sake.

He  knew He'd have vic'try;
Over deaths sway.
He would conquer the curse;
Resurrection day.

He knows more than your name;
And He knows your shame.
He knows all your burdens;
He knows all your pain.

He knows that He's the Way;
The Light and the Truth.
He knows He's the answer
He's calling to you.

Optional Chorus:

He knows, yes He knows;
He knows your name;
And He loves you so.

He knew, Yes He knew;
He knew He'd shed;
His precious blood for you.

Be A LOVE Bug - Children's Song - Updated February 3nd

Be A LOVE Bug
Song:
Be a love bug, a love bug for Jesus:
Buzzin' around,  just, lovein'  the Lord.
Be a love bug, a happy little bug;
Just keep showin' ...Gods  love in this world.
Remember to be kind and tenderhearted;
And read God's Word, prayin' every day.
Because we cannot truly love like Jesus;
Unless we learn to do things Gods way.
Be a love bug, a love bug for Jesus;
Zoomin' around, just, being a light.
Be a love bug, a happy little bug;
Making God happy, doin' what's right.
Remember to serve the Lord with gladness;
Rejoicing in,  New life found in Christ.
Because we cannot truly love like Jesus;
Until  we've learned a life of sacrifice.
Be a love bug, a love bug for Jesus;
Zippin'  around, just, praising the Lord.
Be a love bug, a happy little bug;
Just keep showin, God's love in this world.

In Spite Of The Storm / ...Corrections

In Spite Of The Storm

Lord, fill my heart with the songs of your glory;
Of your love and of salvation story.
Fill my lips with the words you'd have me  say;
Fill my heart with the prayer you'd have me pray.
Lead me in paths of truth, in your righteousness;
Make my life, a life that will truly bless.
Fill my hands with the tasks you'd have me do;
Lord, help me to love in a world turning on you.
I know you're a Savior who walks on the storms;
And just with a word your peace caringly warms.
Let our joy flourish through trials and test;
That we may reach someone who really wants blest.
As the winds whistle and winter storms blow;
And all the woodlands filled with beautiful snow.
Let our heart be clean and worthy in your site.
That we may shine brightly in the darkest  night.
I know you're  a Savoir who walks on the waves;
And if we start sinking you'll reach down to save.
Let our faith flourish in spite of the storm;
Each  promise you've promised your're sure to perform.

New Years Theme Song

Let Him Be Our Theme

Song:
In two thousand thirteen;
Let faith be our theme.
Rejoicing in Jesus;
Who's love has redeemed.
With hope let us love Him;
With all of our heart.
With cheer let us serve Him;
And never depart.
With honor let's linger;
In prayer to Him.
With purpose let's study;
it  cleanses within.
In two thousand thirteen;
A brand new routine.
Rejoicing forever;
Let Him.... be our theme.

Keeping God First

Keeping God First

Here is a thought;
A thought about love.
True love unfeigned;
And pure as a dove.
Valentine's Day;
Done a heavenly way.
Teaching God's love;
At home and at play.
What better way;
To spend Valentine's Day.
To share God's love:
In this special way.
Keeping God first;
In all that we do.
It pleases God;
And teaches love too.

Let Your Spirit Calm My Soul

Let Your Spirit Calm My Soul

Like a brook that flows with a peaceful sound;
Let my heart rest in your grace.
Like a tiny babe in its mother's arms.
I joy in your love that saves.

You have held me close in your tenderness;
You have healed my broken heart.
I took your hand and you lifted me;
When all seemed all so dark.

How can these lips not praise ever more?
How can these eyes look away?
'Cause you are more than any hero.
And deserve all of our praise.

Like a quiet breeze in the springtime.
Like the waves that gently roll.
Like the comfort of a fathers hug;
Let your Spirit calm my soul.

Note:

Like I told you before I'm not a great singer.
But most of my poetry I sang when I wrote it.
So... I'm able to put a tune with it to help you
learn it yourself and put music with it if you
choose to do so.

True Short Poems About My Mother

Her Face Was Full of Smiles
Mother worked very hard;
Sewing both  day and night.
For our Easter clothing;
had to be done just right.
Her face was full of smiles;
as we pranced in new clothes.
We looked just like angels;
From our head to our toes.

 A Memory
My mother sat upon my bed;
We played with paper dolls.
It left with me,  a memory;
though I was very  small.

I Held My Mother
I held my mother in my arms;
With smiles of joy to hold her near.
But she so week, I kissed her cheek;
Then sadness, filled my eyes with tears.

God Seeks To Restore Us

God Seeks To Restore Us
Jesus will never leave, nor forsake us;
Though at times we feel  empty,  alone.
If at all we feel  unloved or abandoned;
We have drifted ourselves from His thrown.
Like a sheep straying far away from the fold;
Into a world of danger unaware.
A wandering one can forget his way home;
Then needs the mercy of one who cares.
Like the shepherd that left the ninety-nine;
To find the missing one He loved so.
God seeks to restore us to fellowship;
Keeping us near Him, among the fold.

Trust Him Today - New Years Poem

Follow This link:

Trust Him Today

It is now 2013;
A brand new year.
Make this the year that  you turn to Christ;
His hand is near.
He calls from the pages of scripture;
He seeks the lost.
He knows your name and He hears your cry;
Give Him your cross.
In heartfelt words confess before Him;
Lord, I need you.
Lay your burdens down before Him;
Jesus loves you.
He gave His life upon Calvary;
He saw our need.
As a child, by faith, call upon Him;
On bended knee.
God gave His only begotten Son;
Love, led the way.
You must give your life to Him, my friend;
Trust Him today.
He really does love you.

Lord, Thank-You For This Past Year

Lord, Thank-You For This Past Year

Lord, Thank-you, for this past year and all your blessings;
For each kind word, for each sunrise, for each moment.
Thank-you for the blessings of laughter with my fam'ly;
And thank-you for each friend your love has graciously lent.
Thank-you for all the people you've given me to love;
And thank-you for all those that have loved me in return.
Thank-you for being kind to me even though, I fall short;
And loving me beyond any human ability to discern.
There must  be a thousand blessings a day unnoticed;
A sea  of blessings from your heavenly shore.
Thank-you even for the hard things I've had to endure;
Mostly  because I've learned to depend on you more.
Lord, Thank-you, for this past year and all your blessings;
And thank-you for another New Year to serve you.
May your blessings continue to keep us strong in you;
As we obey you and love you and live for you.
