If Our Hearts Were A Garden

If Our Hearts Were A Garden

If our hearts were a garden;
For everyone to see.
There is nothing more beautiful;
Than a garden of peace.

Not a garden of hatefulness;
Not a garden of strife.
Not a garden of jealousy;
But a prayerful life.

If our hearts were  a garden;
Would they see Jesus there.
As they walked amongst the harvest;
Would they see the Lord's care.

Bless-ed are the peacemakers;
Who seek to please the Lord.
Who's garden has blessed many;
In this God forsaken world.

 If our hearts were a garden;
For everyone to see.
I would pray they'd see Jesus;
Alive in you and in me.

Peace Maker Or Trouble Maker?

Peace Maker Or Trouble Maker?

I was thinking this morning how the Bible teaches us to be peace makers and asked myself what is the opposite of being a peace maker?  Well all of us know  it would be being a trouble maker.  I thought of Jesus and asked myself the question, What would cause a multitude of people to rise up against Him in anger enough  to cry in unity, " Crucify Him!"  It had to be some trouble makers, in this case, it was the religious leaders.  They were envious of the crowds following Jesus.  They didn't attack Jesus directly they attacked him indirectly, which would have been hard to prove had God not recorded in the Word of God.  They stirred up the chief woman of the city spreading doubt and accusation. They didn't just go out to kill His influence, they were out for blood.   I'm not sure what all they said to get it to happen, but we know one thing they weren't being peace makers they were being trouble makers.  Some people say words don't hurt, but words can make people mad.  Words can be used to manipulate a crowd of people into doing something wrong.  The envious religious leaders, just had to set back and watch it all happen as though they had done nothing wrong.  Jesus went from being followed to being flogged.
