Christmas Is A Way To Love

Christmas Is A Way To Love

 There's joy In knowing Jesus;
Was sent to us for Christmas.
He is what it's all made of.
Christmas is a way- to love.

Not presents or the money;
Not flowers from my honey;
Not pretty lights on the tree;
Though It's true I love all these.

Though we love, Christmas thrills;
And shopping Christmas deals.
Decorating everything;
And the carols that we sing.

Though we all like pretty things;
It's not about diamond rings.
Not about our own druthers.
It's about loving others;

The greatest of all reasons:
Is Jesus in the season.
He is what it's all made of.
Christmas is a way - to love.

Though some of us love gadgets;
Or perfumes in a basket.
Some might love those flashy cars.
Some a necklace lined in stars.

Though we love the Christmas gifts;
The fulfillment of a wish.
What if it one day it was gone?
Jesus needs to be our song.

Jesus is the joy of Christmas;
He's the reason  that we give.
He is what it's all made of.
Christmas is a way- to love.

Christmas Song - For Program

---------

I Love Christmas Carols And I Sing Them Every Christmas.  I Think They Will Always Be Part Of Me Because Some Of My Fondest Memories Surround The Traditional Songs Of Christmas.  But Jesus Needs To Be The Most Important Song In Our Hearts At Christmas And All Year Long.  He Needs To Be The Motive Behind Our Living And Behind Our Giving.

This Song Can Lead Up To The Teaching Of Contentment In The Diolog.

Though God May Bless Us With Things.. We Should Not Be Controlled By The Wanting Of Something Other.

"What Is That?" - Just A Little Note From My Past

Just A Little Note From My Past

"What Is That?"

When I was a preteen, my sister, my cousin and I had just turned the lights out to go to bed.  When suddenly we could hear something flying around the room.  "What Is That?"  One of us yelled.
We were scared and I started calling out to my dad, but he was sleeping and would not answer, so I called out to my brother and he too was sleeping, so no help came.  I laid there frightened along with my sister and cousin.  We wouldn't so much as raise one of our hands  into the air.  It didn't sound like a fly or a mosquito.  We knew it couldn't of even been an unusually large mosquito.  Whatever it was it was big.  So I finally decided something had to be done.  Whatever it was - we were afraid it could come down upon us at any moment.  So I came up with a plan to get to the light switch.  No standing was required until I could make it to the wall that had the light switch.   I slithered to the bottom of the bed, pulled the sheet loose at the bottom and slipped down closely to the bed,  onto the floor, then slid across our hardwood flooring and slid up the wall to flip  the light switch.  As soon as the light came on,  the flying whatever instantly was not flying and was completely hidden from sight.   My dad was finally awakened from all the excitement. We were far from quiet, believe me!  We looked everywhere, but where could it be?  My dad pulled back one of our curtains and there it was.  It was looking at us, making a noise and it had sharp teeth.  It was a brown mean looking bat.  It wasn't as big as we thought it would be, but it was still scary and we didn't want to get bit by it either.

My dad captured the bat by letting it drop into a paper bag.  We giggled while getting back into bed and finally we were able to sleep without fear for the rest of the night.

Thought: The bat liked darkness rather than light.

Thought: Sometimes we can't see the danger but we know it's there.

Thought: Sometimes things are hidden, but in time are found.

Scripture:
1 Corinthians 4:5
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.  (motives)

. Sin
. deeds
. motives
. God will judge

A Prayer For Our Families And Loved Ones -

A Prayer For Our Families And Loved Ones -

Sorry, for the loss of the picture links.  I'm not sure what happened.  I've asked for assistance and hope to be back to normal soon.  I leave you with a prayer as I also am praying for my own family as I pray for you as well.

Lord Jesus,  Be with the hurting tonight and those needing comfort because of the loss of a loved one.
Wrap your comforting hug around them and fill their hearts with thoughts of healing from your Word.
Bless those seeking you with your will and purpose for their lives, give them direction.  Bless those that have had a hard day with a good nights sleep and be with those traveling long distances and bring them home safely.  Heal those that feel sick and comfort those just needing someone to care.  Thank-you Lord for your
mercy and thoughtfulness towards us each day.  Keep our hearts under your watch care and protect our loved ones in a world contrary to your Truth.  In Christ Name I Pray-  Amen

Thank-You Daddy God Slideshow

Thank-You Daddy God

When I think of what I could have been without you.
When I think of your forgiveness and grace.
I can't help but cry aloud with thanksgiving;
 With much joy and a tear upon my face.
You have lifted me from the mire of disgrace;
You have washed all my sinfulness away.
You have clothed me in your righteousness;
And intently hear me when I pray.
I'm like a child holding my arms up for your care;
Daddy God, Thank-you for your tenderness.
I'm like a child twirling in your sunshine;
Daddy God, Thank-you for your forgiveness.
May my lips be filled with much  thanksgiving praise;
Not just on this coming Thanksgiving day.
but each new glad morning and each night of rest;
May my words swell with thanks as I pray.
Thank-you Daddy God, Most heavenly Father;
For your goodness, your provision, your love.
For your strength, For your direction, your peace;
And the many blessings we partake of.

Thank -you Father  (God)

Please Bless Me

Please Bless Me

Fill my heart and my lips with your praise.
Fill my cup with the joy that you give.
Fill my hands with the service you will.
Fill my life with the life you'd have me live.

Open the doors that lead me a right.
Open my eyes to see your wonderful light.
Open to me your desire and will.
And speak as I seek thee in the night.

In power the words you provide.
As I seek you and in you I hide.
I trust your Truth to lead me along.
So fill my lips with wisdom in song.

Let true love be what motivates me.
Let your grace be what others will see.
Because nothing is good without you.
Please bless me in all that I do.

Jesus You Are The True Star Of Christmas - October 2013

Jesus You Are the True Star of Christmas

Thank-You for the star, the star of Bethlehem.
The Christmas star that led the way.
A bright star In the heavens pointing to hope.
The hope that was born on Christmas day.

You were born to a world needing your love;
A world lost and dying in sin.
We would be hopeless without your great love:
There would not be a Christmas then.

Jesus you are the true star of Christmas;
Your light brings us comfort and joy.
You are more than the star of the show;
More important than tree, or toy.

You are the light, that lights up in our heart.
When we believe and worship you;
Just as the wisemen  who followed the star;
Who fell to knee and worshipped too.

Jesus you are the true star of Christmas;
You are a promise of God come true.
You are the Way, The only possible Way;
The reason for Christmas is YOU.

Good Mornin'

Good Mornin'

Good mornin ' Jesus:
Bright morning star.
I want to praise you ;
For all that you are.

Good mornin' sunshine:
Good mornin' daybreak.
Oh praise God for you.
As morning awakes.

Good mornin' blue skies;
And clouds of surprise.
I praise God for you
Each shape and each size.

Good mornin'  tall trees;
Dressed in autumn leaves.
I thank God for all;
The colors I see.

Good mornin'  new day;
Arising from sleep.
Thank-you dear God;
For morning so sweet.

Planting A Field

Planting A Field

In the spring I noticed I had an excess of plants growing in my garden.  That's what happens when you grow perennials,  they just keep multiplying.   I decided to call the city and ask permission to plant my perennials in the park near my home.  I was very excited about the idea because of I could picture in my head a beautiful park filled with flowers everywhere. Yes was the answer and I asked for the water's edge and the answer was yes.

I could see a wonderful place for those purple wildflowers to grow, which I will be planting very soon for next year's flower crop.  I could see a flowing field of daisies swaying in the wind.  I could see firework primrose here and there decorating the pond with a golden lining.  I could see the rose of Sharon, left to multiply along the forest edge.

I love this park because it reminds me of where I grew up.  I feel like I'm on my old stomping ground and have hiked every bit of it more than once.

The man I talked to from the city gave me a small field at the entrance of the park to plant.  I asked if I could rearrange things after they became established.  I asked if I could have the water's edge.  He agreed to my requests.

When I went to the park to look at the little field it looked dry and dead.  It was very hot outside, it looked like a hard dry dessert.  In spite of it I started taking my plants to the park and started digging.
I needed water, but there isn't any running water there.  I started carrying heavy buckets of water from
the low flowing creek bed.  I went back and forth for days, supplying water.  Then I decided to bring water from home, it was easier.  I was very happy when the Lord blessed us with rain because I was tired and I had worked hard, very hard.

After a bit, I noticed things growing.  something more than I had planted.  Poppies of different colors, candytuft, strawflowers, black-eyed Susans, bachelor buttons, many varieties of coreopsis, queen ann's lace,  pink and red clover, and some random flowers that  I don't know the names of.  I was given a field that had already been sown.  I was very excited to let the man from the city know what was growing there.  I requested some mulch because I thought all my work would go down the drain.  The city supplied me with what I needed.

  I decided to let the clover grow because it was a beautiful color pink.  It protected the very young seedlings of other flowers from becoming too dry.  I was happy because I didn't need to water anymore.
I'm not sure if I was really needed to plant that little field.  But I know God spoke to me many times while I planted there.  I thought of Ruth and Boas, I thought of Moses as his sister, who let his little basket float freely among the reeds and how the Egyptian Princess drew for herself a baby boy from the Nile.
 I thought of the proverbs woman who bought a property and planted a field.

The little field was soon overflowing with color, though it doesn't look as nice right now because a lot of them are done blooming for the year.  Some things look dead but their roots are established and Lord willing will return next year with more color than this past season.

God sometimes puts us in a place that has already been sown by someone before us. They may never see the fruit of their labor.  It is sometimes enjoyed by someone who comes after them, who loves and cares for what has already been toiled over.

Psalms126:5
They that sow in tears
shall reap in joy.

I've planted and planted asked people for hostas and bought greenery. I've put both money and work for years.  If anyone feels they can come into my area of planting and steal after  10 years of work.  Is the one with the problem. I've worked and made the hillside beautiful.  I guess some people would rather everything just fall apart.  Fall to ruin.  Hurt the people who give a care.
 In 2013 I asked permission to plant and I asked for the water's edge. I have gone through a number of things since that time.
I sent a list to the through the secretary of the park service. I have spent nearly ten years planting and growing. Keeping erosion from happening. Those branches and have been used as a dam. I have done a good job.  Somebody moved them and I had to redo because the hill started eroding. Somebody took a three tear wrought iron planter I planned on emptying and putting back in my heart garden. They know someone is planting there it is obvious. I have permission to plant and rearrange. I was the first to ask, maybe the only one. I have been fought on improving the park by random people, I am smart and if you have eyes in your head you know it's beautiful. I'm talking about the hostas and ferns. Anything I tried to do in the field somebody destroyed. Anything was an improvement.

Returning To Our First Love - Jude 1:21, Thessalonians 3:3

Returning To Our First Love

I was walking in the park and I was thinking about my heart garden.  This past  year I've had to struggle with a decision that I made last year.  I planted some double purple  bell flowers in my garden knowing very well that they tend to take over.  They are very beautiful and go so well with my firework primrose.
They are just such trouble makers though, I've had to work continuously trying to keep them under control.  They just keep coming back no matter how hard I work.  I still love them, I just don't want them getting into everything.   They tend to kill the other plants around them because their roots take over.
I had to partially dig up my garden and plant new seed.  My garden started blooming with tall orange Cosmos flowers.  They look very nice especially because they are still blooming and they go well with the pumpkins and mums set out for the fall season.

Sometimes in life we allow things into our hearts that we shouldn't let in.  Bitterness, discontentment, or perhaps loving something more than we love God.  The longer we leave it there, the more the roots take over.  This is why we need to keep ourselves aware of what is growing in our hearts, or life or family, or government, because all these areas of life can be overtaken by a silent enemy and the enemy can seem very harmless and beautiful.  If left alone to grow it will restrict any other growth.  Just as I had to start again in the part of my heart garden that was taken over.  Sometimes we have to start digging up the problem, in order to replant in the damaged areas.  This takes putting God first again, returning to our first love.  Some things died in my heart garden, but with love and care my heart garden is blooming again.

My heart garden is going to need regular maintenance because the struggle will always be there.  There will always be something trying to take over.  Our lives and hearts need the same care and God gives us the instructions for all our maintenance needs in The Word Of God.

Jude 1:21
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
