Things I Do Not Want To Forget

Things I Do Not Want To Forget

This past year I had some interesting injuries.  I was stung 13 times by yellow jackets while working in my garden.  I had absolutely no swelling.  It hurt when they stung me, I did not yell or scream or panic. I just quickly went into my home where one followed me and stung me on the hand.  All the effects of the stings were gone by the next day.  Though there was some itching for a very short time.

I burned myself while I was cooking.  I had a pretty bad burn on my hand.  I went to church with a bandage on my hand.  I told them about my week, about the bees and the burn on my hand.  There were some other things but I didn't talk about them.  I'm sure that they prayed for me.  I felt that my hand healed quicker than normal.  The bee stings were unusual only because they did not affect me.

Another injury that happened to my hand.  A heavy tote fell from the top of other totes while I was looking for something.  It hit my hand hard and left a cut across the little bones on the top of my right hand.  I was afraid my hand would be bruised very badly. I prayed and asked the Lord not to let my hand bruise and that it wouldn't do any damage to my hand.  My hand healed quicker than normal again.  It healed within a week and the wound was even gone.  It didn't even leave a scar.

A Discovery In My Garden

I took this picture a few years ago.

A Discovery In My Garden

I thought of something yesterday I believe to be highly unusual.  This is something that happened months ago.  I was working out in my yard.  I walked over to the south side of my home to do something.  I picked up an empty pot and underneath was what I believed to be a pile of earthworms.
It looked as though someone had emptied out a container of worms into a pile.  I'm still not sure if they were worms or snakes.

A few days later I saw something that looked like a worm but the weather was hot and the ground was dry.  I noticed it moved more like a snake over the ground.  Then I immediately thought of the pile of worms I saw just a few days before.

Then again this past month or so I saw a baby guarder snake about eight to twelve inches long.  I've
seen guarder snakes in my yard on occasion throughout the years of living here.  It was the first time, however, that I saw a baby one.  So now I'm wondering if I have fifty baby guarder snakes in my yard.

I learned something about guarder snakes because of the discovery.  The eggs of the guarder snake hatch on the inside of the mother before she gives birth to them.  So I'm thinking I discovered them just after their birth.

I guess I will know more about it when spring and summer are here again.  Maybe there will be more to tell.

Bad Feelings Cause Emotional Suffering And Other Quotes

Bad Feelings Cause Emotional Suffering

     Everyone sometimes has bad feelings.  We can be tempted in every possible way emotionally.  As Christians, we can tell God about those things honestly.  We are all sinners and look to God to help us spiritually, physically, and emotionally.  We can look to God's word and know what he wants us to feel. It is by prayer and reading God's word we can overcome emotional battles.
     We need to be honest with God about how we feel and honest with ourselves as well.  When we do that we can get over whatever bad feeling we are having.  We need to make decisions based on what is right and what is wrong. Not on how we are feeling. God, will lead us and help us if we are willing to follow Him.

Susan Nikitenko

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. {honest: or, venerable}

.......I have learned that people can misunderstand what is being said.
.......If I say I use a strobe light (For Example) It does not mean I would use one on a regular basis for church worship.  But it does mean I would use one for a puppet show for a black light effect.  In a very conservative way.
.......I have learned that people can get confused about who you're talking about. My Son in law has a boss named Geoge. My husband's name is George also.
......My granddaughter sometimes gets confused about which grandma is getting talked about.  We are both called grandma, we are both called mom.

-------My flower gardens have everything to do with God.  He made every one of them.  I enjoy them. I enjoy learning about how they propagate.  I enjoy the fact that there are so many different kinds. I like learning about plants.  I always have. Since I was a young girl.  I am tired of people taking good words and good things and teaching people to associate them with something bad.

Heaven's Bright Song

Heaven's Bright Song

I stood upon the gap between this  life and eternity;
The sounds of instrumental peace-filled space with harmony.
What will I do, I asked myself, with all that I own, though it's small?
I have not loss, but greater wealth, because I gave my all.

What will I do when I get to heaven?  I'll see His face.
I will set by His feet, like a child, in His loving grace.
I will praise him, praise him, evermore on heaven's golden shore.
The smiles of love will shine, and peace will be forevermore.

Trouble and tears, struggles and fears, will vanish away, that day.
When we see the bright clouds, open to light, Jesus, the Way.
The stars will seem dim while we're kneeling by Him, Our precious Lord.
Our hearts will be kindled with great, great joy, not known to this world.

What will I do when I get to heaven?  I will reunite.
As I see old friends in the light with robes of purest white.
I will shout glory, from on high, where no more will ever die.
I will sing ever after where no more tears, I'll ever cry.

I stood upon the gap between this  life and eternity;
The sounds of instrumental peace-filled space with harmony.
What will I do, I asked myself, with all that I own, though it's small?
I have not loss, but greater wealth, because I gave my all.

I will rejoice evermore, Yes, we will  rejoice evermore,
In Jesus, our hope, our love, our God, salvation's door.
This world is just a vapor, a very small corner of time.

But heaven's glory, heaven's bright song, will ever chime.

 1Thesalonians  2:19
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing?
Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

 Matthew
5:12   Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

 Luke
1:14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.
 6:23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
15:6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
15:9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
19:37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

 John
 4:36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
 5:35 He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
 14:28 ¶ Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
 16:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
 16:22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

 Acts
2:26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

 Romans
 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
 15:10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

 1 Corinthians
 7:30 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;
 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

 2Corinthians
 2:3 And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
  7:9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
  7:16 I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things.

 Galatians
4:27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

 Philippians
 1:18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
 2:16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
 2:17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
 2:18 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.
 2:28 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful. {carefully: or, with more anxious care}
 3:1 ¶ Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

 Colossians
1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

 James
 1:9  Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
 4:16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.

 1Peter
 1:6  Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

 Revelations
 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
12:12  Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
  19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

God Gave Me A Mother's Day Gift.

God Gave Me A Mother's Day Gift. - May 12th I had a prayer answered today. It may be small to you. The reason I'm sharing it is that it is Mother's Day. It may be small but to me it is big. I was asked last night to fill in for the special today at church. So I wrote something to read but I felt it was too short. This morning just before I was ready to speak, I prayed because I had a burden on my heart about something. I asked the Lord to give me something else to go with what I was going to say already. I skimmed through my hymn book and looked up the word mother, but there was no hymn with mother in the title. I closed my hymn book and prayed. I wasn't even thinking when I opened my hymn book. I looked down and I realized I had opened up to what I had asked in prayer. I just opened it and there it was. I felt God's blessing and God's approval of me. The hymn was one that I had never heard before. I think it was called "She will be called blessed." ( I will let you know for sure later.) The song is about the virtuous woman. I was able to tell the church that God answered my prayer, in how I opened up my Hymn book to just the right page. I felt loved. I felt like God gave me a mother's day gift. To me that's big, something I will treasure. I knew God was with me. I knew He was speaking as I saw tears flowing down peoples faces as I read what God gave me to say. I read the words of the hymn, I also read "When I Say I Love You". which I wrote last night. God not only blessed my heart. He blessed everyone there. Praise the Lord! I had a wonderful day with my family they were a tremendous blessing to me, as they shared their hearts and gifts. I felt like I had won something as my little granddaughter gave me a ribbon for the best grandma award. This too is a treasure because of the joy and love of a little 2-year-old grandbaby. She knows how to melt a grandparent's heart. There is more for me to say but it's late, have a good night.
Cont... May 13th
....To continue what I was talking about yesterday. I remembered something I had asked the Lord, as silly as it may seem to some. I asked Him to help me become the best at something. I was reminded of that prayer yesterday, as my daughter pinned my granddaughter's gift onto the pocket flap on my jean jacket. The best grandma award. Not only was it a gift from my granddaughter but it was an answered prayer. Who said that God's not involved in the little details of life? I had two small prayers answered on the same day. I guess that goes to show that God thinks Mothers Day is important. God has his hand on my life and He's letting me know it. It may seem small but it's big. Thank-you God, Mother's Day is important. Thank-you for the Mother's day gift. I am blessed.
.....May 14th
....Last night when I put my head down on my pillow, God reminded me that there were other prayers answered on Mother's day. There was a burden on my heart about something. It was a burden on my heart for a long time.
I really do not feel free to share what that burden was. I asked God to bring light to the problem. I didn't mention this in the prior testimony because it involves others. Sometimes it's just better to keep things to ourselves. I felt I should say something because I said only two prayers were answered.
Even though I can't share what the burden was. I have been blessed to know that I have God's attention.

Two nights before Mothers day I was woken up by nightmares.
One night I was woken up hitting myself in the face because I was dreaming there was a spider on my face. One night I was woken up to a machine gun shooting from a building at what seemed to be a ferry boat. I watched the smoking boat wreck to the shore and I started crying like a child. "Daaaaddy! Daaaaddy!" over and over again. It's funny how a bad dream can make you wonder about it for days, just because it was so strange.

I told my family about those dreams on Mother's Day. I wasn't well rested and it seemed I was unhappy.
I was tired and the burden I felt was still there at that time.  Yesterday my daughter sent me something about dreams that the Lord, revealed to her during her devotions. This is what she said,
"I was reading Job for my devotions today, look, it says that Job thought he could finally rest from his pain but Satan gave him terrible nightmares. Just thought it was interesting. I don't remember reading that before. I mean, I know Satan can give you bad dreams. I just can't remember the bible actually saying it."
Job 7: 11b - 15
I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
12 Am I a sea, or a whale, that thou settest a watch over me?
13 When I say, My bed shall comfort me, my couch shall ease my complaint;
14 Then thou scarest me with dreams, and terrifiest me through visions:
15 So that my soul chooseth strangling, and death rather than my life.

I guess Satan didn't want me to go to church on Mother's Day.
I had two nights of restless sleep with horrifying dreams. I was sick with some kind of allergy too.
Guess the devil didn't get his way. Praise the Lord.
Cause God gave me a gift on Mother's Day.

Jesus Is The Resurrection

Jesus is The Resurrection

Jesus is the Resurrection.  Jesus is the light.
Jesus is the way to heaven, eternal life.
He has power over death and power over hell.
He is our Savior and in Him we can say, "It is well."

Jesus is the Resurrection.  Jesus is the life.
Death could not stop Him, He arose from the dead, as He said.
Christ arose, Praise the Lord, He's not dead, He arose.
Praise the Lord, He arose,  hallelujah, Christ arose.

When they crucified our Lord.  When He died for this world.
He accomplished what He came to do - to die for you.
His blood flowed down, perfect blood, splashed upon the ground.
To wash our sins away, pay the debt we could not pay.

Jesus is the Resurrection.  Jesus is the life.
Death could not stop Him, He arose, He's not dead, that is right.
Christ arose, Praise the Lord, He's not dead, He arose.
Praise the Lord, He arose,  hallelujah, Christ arose.

Jesus is the Resurrection of our heart and life;
His mercies  are unnumbered and never grow old.
He gives salvation to those who believe upon Him.
When we put our true faith in Him He saves our soul.

Jesus is the Resurrection.  Jesus is the life.
Death could not stop Him, He arose, He's not dead, that is right.
Christ arose, Praise the Lord, He's not dead, He arose.
Praise the Lord, Jesus saves, hallelujah, Christ arose.
Praise the Lord, Jesus saves, hallelujah, He saved me.
And He will save you too.

I'm Just Sending My Love

I'm Just Sending My Love

He said, "Be glad, please don't be sad. "
He was our son, our little boy.
He is laughing, he is leaping.
He is rejoicing, with great joy.

He ran to the arms of Jesus.
He is ecstatic there to see;
All the things that He has heard of:
They're more amazing than he dreamed.

Heaven greeted him with a smile;
No more pain and no more sorrow.
He doesn't have to worry now.
What's going to happen tomorrow.

Instead of fret, there is praising.
Instead of grief, there is much peace.
Instead of tears, there is singing.
As he stands by the crystal sea.

He just wants to be with Jesus:
The angels are taking last place.
He's sitting right there by his side.
With shining light upon his face.

One day I will see  you again;
In heaven's great land in the sky.
I  don't have to cry anymore;
Because good-bye is not good-bye.

One day I will see  you again;
In heavenly places above.
My precious son, my precious son.
Right now,  I'm just sending my love.

Revelations 4:6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne,
Revelations 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Ebb Away Ebb Away

Psalms 42:5 - 8
 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.  O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.
Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.

This Is Far From Perfect-
This Is A New Hymn

If I Were A Little Child

No attribution required

I wrote this song around 2:00 this morning
February 6, 2019

If I Were A Little Child

If I were a little child, as lost as I could be;
I'd want to know that  someone out there, thought about me.
I'd want to know that I was loved, just any ol where.
And that someone cared enough to say my name in prayer.

Would anyone really care, if I disappeared?
If I were hiding, just to know, what would be the show?
Would Mrs. Frank draw a blank, and forget my name?
If I were only hiding, Oh, My, I'd feel ashamed.

If I were a little child, as lost as I could be;
I'd want to know that  someone, would come, looking for me.
Would any tear be shed, when they see my empty bed?
Or will I only be a picture and long lost memory?

If I were a little child, as lost as I could be;
I'd want to know that  someone out there, thought about me.
I'd want to know that I was loved, just any ol where.
And that someone cared enough to say my name in prayer.
