Lowly Shepherds - Corrections

Lowly Shepherds

Lowly shepherds are we, alone on this night;
Suddenly we see a heavenly light.
Then surprisingly a voice from heaven speaks;
As our hearts grow fearful, our knees grow week.

"Gabriel we hear your trumpet loud and clear."
 "We see God's angels in brightness appear."
Looking toward heaven astounded and awed;
At the message sent to us from our God.

Trembling,  in the presence of angels, we fear;
We know somehow our God is very near.
----
"Fear Not, we bring you good tidings of joy.
The birth of God's own Son, an infant boy."
-----
"Gabriel we hear your trumpet loud and clear."
Our hearts now rejoice, for our Savior is here.
We are lowly shepherds,
lowly shepherds in the night.
 God's love has spoken;
to lowly shepherds in the night.

Lowly shepherds are we, alone on this night;
Suddenly we see a heavenly light.
Our eyes opened our hearts ready to hear;
Let us now go worship Him on this holy night.

 "Gabriel we hear your trumpet loud and clear."
Our hearts now rejoice, for our Savior is here.
We are lowly shepherds,
lowly shepherds  in the night.
 God's love has spoken;
to lowly shepherds in the night.

The Lord Has Loved Me

The Lord Has Loved Me

The Lord has saved me;
The Lord has loved me;
He has forgiven all my sin.

The Lord has heard me;
The Lord has helped me;
When I confessed my sin to Him.

He has walked with me;
He has lead the way;
And I have learned to trust and pray.

He  opened my eyes;
To all the world's lies.
I have chosen the narrow way.

He died on the cross;
For all of the lost;
His love has defeated the foe.

Through his spotless blood;
And God's loving touch.
His salvation is here to know.

The Lord has held me;
The Lord restores me;
Comforts me through trouble and fear.

Though friends forsake me;
Or grief o'er take me.
In His eyes I'm counted as dear.

Yeshua - In His Hand

Yeshua - In His Hand

I was blessed by a little boy I was watching in Sunday School this past week.  His name is Yeshua.  Yeshua is a one year old toddler, who is very busy.  He has a very short attention span.  I didn't realize it when his parents told me their boy's name was Yeshua, that his name is another name for Savior.  I realized later that it is the same name for Joshua as well, which is also another name for Savior.
I learned quite a few things about Yeshua, as I played with blocks, sang songs, made animal noises, played peaky boo, and follow the leader.  In this case I followed him all over the room making sure he didn't get hurt.  Yeshua wants to walk and he will be walking very soon.  Yeshua doesn't seem to make very much noise.  He did wine a little because his is teething and once he made a couple happy coos. He is, I think, one of the quietest baby's I have ever met.
Yeshua did something that spoke to my heart.  While we were playing blocks He noticed a little man among all the blocks.  He wanted to hold the little man in his hand.  He was putting all the blocks back into the container, but he wanted to keep the little man in his hand.  The blocks didn't matter to him, it was the little man he cared about.
You know what, in the same way, Jesus Our Savior cares about us, and when we are his children he holds us in his hand.  No matter what we are going through, if we love him and desire to please him.  He will help us through seemingly impossible odds, help us do seemingly impossible things, and use us in amazing ways.
Nothing else matters as much as mankind to God, because we are made in his image.  When Jesus came to die it was for man.  It wasn't for things he died, it was for people.
God's  desire is to rescue and to save.  The whole purpose of the death of Christ was to rescue the hell bound, by paying the debt of our sin.  God has offered the gift of eternal life to those that believe and receive the gift of salvation.  Repentance is the evidence of true belief.
God's not willing that any man should perish but that all would come to repentance and belief in Christ.
But it's up to you to see your need of him.  It's up to you to make Jesus your choice.  Choose you this day whom you will serve.
When you accept Christ, the bible says He comes in to abide in our hearts.  You become alive to Christ.
God wants to hold you in his hand as one of his dear children, because you matter, because he loves you.

Father God, If there's a Christian  out there who needs to know you are thinking about them and you haven't forgotten them. Show them today that you have them in your hand, show them that they matter to you and that you love them very much.  Also if someone out there has found that sin leaves them empty and troubled, I pray that you will open their eyes, open their ears to your call and rescue them from the sea of sin.  I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus our Savior and His shed blood  for mankind.  Amen

Joshua 24:15b   And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve;
2 Peter 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Great Love Brought Him To Us

Great Love Brought Him To Us

Christmas is here, the presents are wrapped;
The house is decked with red and green.
The wreaths are hung, Christmas lights are strung.
It's  all ready for Christmas Eve.

Though long ago, no decorations hung;
Only a star guiding the way.
In a sky full of stars made by our God's hands.
And a stable, filled with love and hay.

Better a stable filled with the love of God;
Than houses of gold without love.
The only gift that truly satisfies:
Is Christ, who was born unto us.

Christmas is here, the tree is all trimmed;
Packages placed neatly with care.
Silently the lights shine in the darkness;
And  silently a falling tear.

As we think upon the light of the world;
In the darkness, His glory gleamed.
He came as a gift, one silent night;
Beauty it was,  though humble it seemed.

Beautiful was the face of Jesus;
One day to be bruised for the lost.
 Beautiful were His hands and his feet;
One day to be nailed to a cross.

Virgin with child from God upon high;
Beautiful was the birth of Jesus;
The most beautiful Christmas of all;
Because great love brought Him to us.

So we pause today, we bow to pray;
"Oh Thank-you God for Jesus.
The light of Christmas, ever to shine;
Because your love, brought Him to us."

Subway

Subway

When my husband and I had gone into ministry my children were sad because they had to say goodbye to some friends that they had from the time they were very small children.  We were moving to a town that was very small and many seemed  to us very poor.  We were leaving our home of thirteen years and it was very hard for me to leave my home because I loved living there.
When we finally arrived at our new home and got settled in, my daughter expressed to us how she desired to have a healthy place to eat in our small town.  She told us how she expressed her feeling to God that she was willing to leave her friends for the ministry and asked if He would give us a healthy place to eat out in our town.   The town did have a Sonic, which we loved because we loved the flavored fountain drinks, like Diet Coke flavored with cherries or vanilla or whatever other flavor.  But my daughter started praying for a Subway to be built in our little town.  No one knew she was praying for a Subway, but she was.  One day we got the news a Subway was going to be built in our town.  It was amazing.  I've often thought maybe someone knew about it  and God used that person to make it happen.   God can use other people even when they think it was them all along.  We know one thing,  However it came to be, It was answered prayer.
The amazing thing is this:  They built the most beautiful Subway right across the street from our church.
So when we wanted a Sub, all we had to do was cross the street.  I know my daughter felt loved and I felt loved too because God sometimes uses the simplest, seemingly unimportant things to say I love you.  It might of not seemed important to someone else but it was important because that Subway meant allot to us. It was a gift from God.
All of us were heartbroken over leaving our friends but God made us all feel loved when He answered my daughters prayer for a Subway.
When we are His children -
We already know God loves us, but sometimes He comfort our hearts through unusual answered prayer.

Lord Jesus,
Protect Our Family And Keep Us Safe.
Be With The Families - Suffering Loss.
Be With The Troubled And Each Burdened Heart;
Keep Our Hearts Near You As We Remember The Cross.

S. Nikitenko

Every person has a story.  If it never gets written down It would be forgotten forever.
So if you think I'm only looking at myself look again.  God wants us to share how He's helped  us through our problems.   So we can help others In the life that God has given us.
We are all used in different ways. Our unique personalities effect other people and hopefully
What God has done in my life will help others.

A Magnificent Orchestra

A  Magnificent Orchestra

I saw the flocking birds of the springs migration arrive.
In the springtime when I  cried unto the Lord;
The sounds of thousands of singing birds filled the morning sky.
It was like the heavens had opened up a door;
I stood and watched as the birds settled upon the forest trees;
The morning breeze was comforting to my soul.
Tears filled my eyes as I  beheld a magnificent orchestra;
It was beautiful and striking to behold.
I felt at that moment that God had given me a gift;
It felt as though God's angels surrounded me.
I felt as though God was right there beside me holding my hand;
Because He wanted to tell me He loved me.

This was something that happened when I was stunned by heartbreak.
I couldn't even fully understand what had hit me.
And felt very confused and very alone.

There are many things God uses to tell us that He loves us.
When we are His children He sometimes gives us something just because.
Sometimes it could be a cookie with sprinkles, or a pork chop,
or a beautiful morning orchestra in the sky.  I used these examples because these are some of the ways God has given me and my family something that had the markings of I love you written all over them.
My next writings  will be the telling of some of these stories.

There Is A Love

There Is A Love

There is a love that is deeper than the deepest  oceans.
There is a love that lifts beyond the stars.
Beyond the great  planets in the vast heavens above us ;
A love that reaches galaxies afar.
God's love is greater, much greater than all creation;
Though it's beauty has inspired us so.
Even greater than the wonders of all the four seasons;
God's love is the greatest of all to know.
His love has healed the hearts and minds of many astray;
The broken, the troubled, the wounded soul.
His love  surrounds  us even when darkness interferes;
His love collects the pieces , He makes us whole.
His love has built us a heavenly home with golden streets;
His love carried Him to Calvary's hill.
His love has saved billions upon billions of those seeking;
And His love continues to save and fulfill.
His is the love that will teach us to love with a pure heart;
For He in His love gave himself to die.
Now we sing His praise, He fills all loneliness with His Joy.
This is the kind of love that satisfies.

He Is What Matters Most

He Is What Matters Most

Susan Y Nikitenko
November 24th, 2012
The new fallen snow is upon the tree tops;
Stillness is all around.
A wintry brook splashes  along unfrozen;
A  most consoling sound.
The first snow of fall has blessed with it's kiss;
And a crisp fresh morning.
A sparkling blanket of beauty shines brightly;
In God's adorning.
A breathy mist of fog passes through my lips;
As I sing to the Lord.
In thanksgiving, I remember His great love;
Bestowed upon this world.
He forgives us and washes us white as snow;
Another beginning.
Following the steps, He has left for us to tread;
Walking, loving trusting.
Walking along in the snow , I remember;
While holding His truth close.
My redeemer, my Savior, my hope, my life;
He Is what matters most.

Stop, Running From Love

Stop, Running From Love

Stop, running from love!
Stop, running from love!
The greatest love known;
The love of all loves.
He so loved the world;
He laid down His life.
He paid sins great price;
A pure sacrifice.
You can't hide from God;
He sees all your sin.
But you are washed clean;
When you come to Him.
Stop, running from love!
Stop, running from love!
A life changing love;
The love of all loves.
Forgiveness and peace;
Salvation secured.
A hope that will last;
A home that is sure.
A love that will change;
Your heart forever.
A love that will shine;
That none can sever.
Stop, running from love!
Stop, running from love!
God's most awesome love;
The love of all loves.
A love so wondrous;
A love so divine.
And so glorious;
And so very kind.
A love undeserved;
A love given free.
When He shed His blood;
On mount Calvary.
Stop, running from love!
Stop, running from love!
A most perfect love;
The love of all loves.

Your Word

Your Word

Susan Y Nikitenko
August 9th,2012

Your Word has power to save the vilest soul;
Your Word can make the hopeless whole again.
Those blinded by darkness can see the light;
Your Word has the power to turn a heart from sin.

Your Word cuts to the quick, convicts the heart;
It brings a wanderer to repentance.
It reveals our filthiness and our shame;
It gives the broken more than another chance.

Your Word teaches us how to love all men;
Your Word makes known an open door to Him.
It announces your salvation through grace;
And that your blood cleanses us from all sin.

Your Word, so powerful, so real, so great;
Can make everything new in an instance.
That shattered life can stand and sing again;
Brokenness, turns to joy, the heart can dance.

Your Word teaches us to praise in battle;
To  trust, to be courageous, fearless.
For you are more than mighty, YOU ARE GOD;
Yet you are ever loving and near us.

Your Word causes evil to flee in fear;
Your Word proclaims your perfect holiness.
And your anger  towards disobedience;
It extends to the  repentant forgiveness.

Your Word, remains a light unto our path;
Your Word is medicine, your Word is pure.
Your Word is living water for the soul;
Your Word is steadfast and its precepts sure.

Your Word became flesh and dwelt among us;
Mighty God came to earth as holy child.
Because, you are love and you are mercy;
Your light and redemption  saves the defiled.

Thank-You For Your Word

Ps 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

 Ephesians 1:7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

 Hebrews 12:15
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God;
 lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you,
 and thereby many be defiled;

Oh,Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you Lord

Oh,Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you Lord

Oh,Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you Lord;
For your blessings towards  this world.
For grace that gets us through each day;
Your love that guides us in your way.

Though we are week you're always strong;
                                    You spank us when we’ve done you wrong. (God's Chastisement)
Your mercy shines when we repent;
You comfort us when tears are spent.

Your children are so dear to you;
Your light, by grace comes shining through.
When we yield to your will, your way;
While by your side we always stay.

Your blessings flow abundantly;
Beyond all minds or eyes can see.
Like rain, your blessings, shower free;
Upon the child, who trust in thee.

Oh,Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you so;
Because your mercies ever flow.
You offer pardon, peace to all;
When we repent and humbly call.

I Trust You Through Life’s Alarms

I Trust You Through Life’s Alarms

By: Susan Y Nikitenko   2010

Though a blinding fog blocks my full sight,

Though I can not understand His way,

I will not fear the hole in the ground;

Or troubles or worrisome sound.

I will trust the all seeing eyes of God;

Who leads blinded men through darkest night,

And when I fear to take in faith, the step.

His leading grace, by faith, will be my light.

His lamp is daily there before me;

To lead through this place of darkness, dim,

And when mangled pain of life presses me;

I will follow His light and trust in Him.

Though death brings sorrow, I can’t see past.

I’m injured and blinded by thick fog.

I will jump into His arms of love;

And seek His tender comforting dove.

If tempted with bitterness to lie;

I choose, to feel through darkness alone.

What a comfortless, existence, I fear;

Would steal all joy, year, year after year.

For to choose a life of freedom and joy;

One must choose the road of trust and faith;

And when your path meets your darkest hour;

Upon His bosom find needed power.

I can not walk this path alone, Oh God;

Lest I trip, or blow through painful winds.

Upon your grace, I lay my life;

Oh Father, upon you I will depend.

Carry me through the dark paths of life.

Hold tight my trembling fainting heart.

Lest anytime in fear I turn in doubt;

And from your help I choose to depart.

But No, But No, I run to you, Oh God.

I cuddle safely into your arms.

As a child, gazing into your loving eyes;

 Hand to cheek, say, “I trust you through life’s alarms.”

Quilted In Love

Quilted In Love

God- see's the beginning:
God see's the final end.
Life is stitched - in His love;
And sings within the wind.

Like a- loving mother;
Crochets or quilts a gift.
God is quilting in His love;
With golden threads adrift.

When troubles and great trials;
Seem to crash- all around.
Not a sin-gle voice of cheer;
In this world - can be found.

We find ourselves asking;
Is our Lord in control?
Has He left me here alone?
Does He care for my soul?

In this world of trouble;
Confusing, though it be.
God's golden threads of hope;
Gives hope, when we can't see.

Stitching here , mending there;
With precision, designed.
He is busy stitching;
A quilt that's golden lined.

Like a quilt upon His knee;
He holds each child with care.
He knows all our weaknesses'
He knows when there's despair.

He knows all of our needs;
and our choices and plans.
He knows the pain that we feel;
Like the prints in His hands.

Each quilt is valuable;
A golden lined life displayed.
A quilt designed, unique;
With worth that can't be weighed.

Will you yield to His quilting?
Will you desire His will?
As He's quilting His purpose;
In humility kneel?

If a quilt lays down yielded;
God's golden threads will gleam.
And to the world around it;
Jesus will clearly be seen.

Romans 6:13
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
1John 3:16
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
