Great Love Brought Him To Us

Great Love Brought Him To Us

Christmas is here, the presents are wrapped;
The house is decked with red and green.
The wreaths are hung, Christmas lights are strung.
It's  all ready for Christmas Eve.

Though long ago, no decorations hung;
Only a star guiding the way.
In a sky full of stars made by our God's hands.
And a stable, filled with love and hay.

Better a stable filled with the love of God;
Than houses of gold without love.
The only gift that truly satisfies:
Is Christ, who was born unto us.

Christmas is here, the tree is all trimmed;
Packages placed neatly with care.
Silently the lights shine in the darkness;
And  silently a falling tear.

As we think upon the light of the world;
In the darkness, His glory gleamed.
He came as a gift, one silent night;
Beauty it was,  though humble it seemed.

Beautiful was the face of Jesus;
One day to be bruised for the lost.
 Beautiful were His hands and his feet;
One day to be nailed to a cross.

Virgin with child from God upon high;
Beautiful was the birth of Jesus;
The most beautiful Christmas of all;
Because great love brought Him to us.

So we pause today, we bow to pray;
"Oh Thank-you God for Jesus.
The light of Christmas, ever to shine;
Because your love, brought Him to us."

The Biggest Tree

The Biggest Tree

The biggest tree;
Is  the smallest flea.
Who loves the Lord;
In humility.

A humble soul;
Forgiven of sin.
Remembers what;
Was given to him.

A life brand new;
Through the blood of Christ.
The Lamb of God;
Who was sacrificed.

A comforter;
Who abides within.
Who gives us strength;
In troubled winds.

A brand new heart;
And brand new song.
And brand new friends;
To sing along.

The biggest tree;
Is servant of all.
A humble soul;
That will not fall.

Be Ready - By: Susan Y Nikitenko

Be Ready

Some have mocked at His coming;
But His time has drawn so near.
The world has forgotten His warning;
Turning away, their listening ear.

Centuries have come and gone.
The world continues to rot, decay.
Growing more evil, wicked, sinful.
His coming will be soon, I pray.

He’s not forgotten His promise.
Long-suffering, He is kind.
He’s drawing and He’s calling;
Lost and wandering ones He’ll find.

His promises are sure.
Soon we will go up, in flight.
Shedding these bodies of sin;
Our Lord, could be coming tonight.

Be ready, my brother, my sister.
Our Redeemer, is so very near.
Humble yourself in much prayer.
Soon we’ll be raptured from here.
