Oh What A Beautiful Love Story (Christmas)

If you do not feel comfortable saying "Be of good cheer", then say "be not afraid".
Many time the bible says, "be of good cheer", to someone who's afraid or down hearted.

This Is Not Perfect But It Will Help You...Know How It Goes

Luke 2:9-13
 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God,

Psalms 119:57 -83

Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.
I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.  I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
 I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.
 The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.
 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.
I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.
 The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.
Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.
Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.
Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.
It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
 Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.
I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me. Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.  Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.
 Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts.
 Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies.
 Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.
 My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.
 Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.

Let Us Seek The Saviour

Let Us Seek the Saviour

The wise men were wise men because they followed the light.
They traveled in the night time, then day after day.
They traveled from afar in the light of a bright new star.
An adventure as they followed in the way.

The wise men were wise men because they followed the way;
Seeking Jesus, Son of God, Saviour of the World.
A new born King foretold in the pages of scripture.
An infant, born of a virgin, like never before.

The wise men were wise men  because they were led by God.
God sent worshipers with gifts to the Saviour.
They were scholars' of astrology, educated;
Perhaps, answers to Mary and Joseph's prayers.

They, examples,  for us today  to follow the light;
for  we know that the light of the world is Jesus.
 The light of the Word is the Truth of the Word.
As we follow in it's wisdom , it's light leads us.

As we look at the book, it is the star, that leads us;
Leads us to the Saviour! To the King of kings!
The Lord of Lords! The Way! The Truth! The Life!
Christmas child!  Emanuel! To whom angels sing!

And as they sought to worship and adore the Christ child.
Let us seek the Saviour, and worship Him each day.
Let the Christ of Christmas bring joyfulness to our hearts.
Knowing He is the Gift that gave us Christmas day.

A Reading

Psalms 119:2
Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
Acts 17:27
That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Don't Forget Him

Don't Forget Him

Just around the corner, just around the bend;
Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here again.
Little angels costumes will need to be made;
And we all need to practice for the Christmas play.

Oh me, Oh my, there is just so much to do;
The tree needs put up and decorated too.
Look at my  list, it reaches down to the ground;
These storage boxes are standing in a mound.

All the Christmas boxes, all the Christmas bows;
All the lights and garlands strung across the floor;
It's time to deck the halls and hang Christmas bells;
It's time to decorate for Christmas once more.

Thanksgiving is coming and the food needs planned;
Will we have both turkey  and Thanksgiving ham?
Who needs our assistance at this time of year?
I'm sure the Lord will lead us to whom and to where.

Just around the corner, just around the bend;
Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here again.
Whatever we need to do to get there, don't forget
That Christmas is all about Jesus, don't forget Him!

Worthy Of Celebration

Worthy Of  Celebration

I was asking myself this question today.  Why is the celebrating of Jesus being born biblical?

Christmas is one of the greatest spiritual events that has ever taken place in history.  God himself opened the heavens and sent  a celebrating band of angels.  These angels  I'm sure sang though the bible does not say so.

One of the reasons I believe they sang is that some angels have musical instrument in their bodies.   The bible says that they rejoiced and many times we too will gather to rejoice together on joyous occasions.  Most the time rejoicing includes music and singing.
Heaven is full of music, singing and praising, so even if they did not sing.  To think they may have  would not be unreasonable, knowing that God himself put musical instruments in some angles bodies.  They were living instruments of music.

God chose to have a great event to announce the Christ Child being born.  He did not have to open the skies of heavens glories to reveal something wonderful to lowly shepherds.  He did not have to let them witness the rejoicing of heavenly angels.  He could have chose some other way, but it was a celebration.

He chose to tell us of the celebration in His Word.  God made sure that Christ's birthday was recognized as a great day, and what a great day it still is.  God chose to make it part of His holy Word.   The historical occurrence has lead many people in the dark spiritually to the light of the world, (Jesus our Savoiur.)

Just as the shepherds watched their sheep in a dark night,
God's heavenly angels filled the dark skies with light.
God then opened their eyes to fully understand.
That God, that night had provided himself a lamb.

The occasion called for something special from heaven's bright land.  A celebration of God's promise of a Saviour fulfilled.
Jesus'  birth is totally worthy of celebration.  With rejoicing, singing and praising God.

 Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb

(This is old testament prophecy of God providing the lamb of God, His Son,
as the sacrifice for our sin.)

Christmas Happens

Christmas Happens

It may be hard for us to comprehend, but we can't earn our way to heaven by how good we are.  Salvation cannot be earned but rather is a gift given to us.  We do not deserve salvation, nor can we find it on our own.  God saves us because He wants to, because He loves people and because it brings glory to His name.

He has offered a gift.  This gift was delivered through our Saviour...who was born on Christmas day.  Then when He grew He died on a cruel cross.  He took our sins upon himself and became sin for us.  Emmanuel died for us.

Christmas Is - Christ born giving hope to a hopeless world. The peace of God born in the heart of every believer.  Believe upon he Lord Jesus Christ and salvation will be born in you.  This is the gift of Christmas.

Jesus is the light of the world and the light in our hearts when we trust him and accept the gift He offers to all that will receive.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, believing, will receive the gift of salvation that comes through Christ alone.

Christmas happened when Jesus was born and Christmas happens when Jesus is born in your heart.
Christmas happens because He lives evermore.

God Came Down To Us - Acronym

God Came Down To Us

Jesus, the Son of God was born;
The Great I Am Came From Heaven.
New to a world that needed Him;
Born so we could be forgiven.

King of kings, born an infant boy;
Came upon a star filled night.
 From heavens throne, to a manger;
Heaven brought forth both Truth and light.

Upon that blest Christmas dawning;
That most precious moment, NOEL.
Holy child, God's  gift to the world;
Night, turned to day, Emanuel.

Chorus:
God Came Down To Us, No-o-el;
Night, turned to day, Emanuel.
Upon that blest Christmas dawning;
God Came Down To Us, No-o-el.

Lowly Shepherds - Corrections

Lowly Shepherds

Lowly shepherds are we, alone on this night;
Suddenly we see a heavenly light.
Then surprisingly a voice from heaven speaks;
As our hearts grow fearful, our knees grow week.

"Gabriel we hear your trumpet loud and clear."
 "We see God's angels in brightness appear."
Looking toward heaven astounded and awed;
At the message sent to us from our God.

Trembling,  in the presence of angels, we fear;
We know somehow our God is very near.
----
"Fear Not, we bring you good tidings of joy.
The birth of God's own Son, an infant boy."
-----
"Gabriel we hear your trumpet loud and clear."
Our hearts now rejoice, for our Savior is here.
We are lowly shepherds,
lowly shepherds in the night.
 God's love has spoken;
to lowly shepherds in the night.

Lowly shepherds are we, alone on this night;
Suddenly we see a heavenly light.
Our eyes opened our hearts ready to hear;
Let us now go worship Him on this holy night.

 "Gabriel we hear your trumpet loud and clear."
Our hearts now rejoice, for our Savior is here.
We are lowly shepherds,
lowly shepherds  in the night.
 God's love has spoken;
to lowly shepherds in the night.

Somebody To Adore 2 - An Added Verse And Different Background.

Somebody To Adore

Somebody Great,
Somebody Wonderful,
Somebody Marvelous,
Somebody To Adore,
He is the Way, the Truth, and the Light;
Just like the Christmas star glowing bright;
Leading The Way,  Til' That Silent Night.

Somebody Great,
Somebody Wonderful,
Somebody Marvelous,
Somebody To Adore,
He was born to the Virgin Mary;
He was Christ but yet a baby;
God in human flesh, how can it be?

Somebody Great,
Somebody Wonderful,
Somebody Marvelous,
Somebody To Adore,
Was born to us, on that first Christmas;
His love shines forever glorious.
Because God So loves each one of us;

Somebody Great,
Somebody Wonderful,
Somebody Marvelous,
Somebody to adore.

He was part of a vast  master plan:
That would bring salvation to all man.
King Of King, Lord of Lord, The Great I Am.

So when you celebrate the season;
You already know that He's the Reason.
He is God's only begotten Son.

And HE is:

Somebody Great,
Somebody Wonderful,
Somebody Marvelous,
Somebody To Adore...

Alone On Christmas Day

Alone On Christmas Day

She grieved, she wept , but her faith was kept;
She knew Jesus is real.
She struggled with fear and anger was there;
Did not know how to feel.

But she put up her tree, with bows so pretty;
But cried, "Why did you die?"
In tears she would pray, the grieving away;
And she told him goodbye.

She lit a candle to honor the Lord;
Though she longed for her spouse.
While music was played , she sang Christmas praise;
And danced throughout her house.

Feeling sad and distressed, in loneliness;
She danced her pain away.
She found comfort, relief, in God's sweet peace;
Alone on Christmas day.

God Sent Jesus For Christmas

God Sent Jesus For Christmas

May you have a Christmas filled with joy;
Please know God  loves you so.
When Jesus came from heaven's  throne;
A baby, come down, to grow.
So small, but yet mighty God in flesh;
Emanuel  His name.
Hands so tiny, but yet very great;
Created ev'ry thing.
Jesus  loves you so, your name, He knows;

God sent Jesus for Christmas,

He was born to bare the nails of scorn;
God  sent Him because of us.
May you find peace this year for Christmas;
By putting in Him your trust.
He was born to set the captive free;
From sin and it's poverty.
May you find hope in Jesus this year;
He was born because of us.
Jesus loves your so, your need, He knows.

God sent Jesus For Christmas.

He was born to shine in the darkness;
Cause the blinded eyes to see,
May you find truth for Christmas this year;
In the one who calms the sea.
He was born to a virgin mother:
And born to die for our sins.
We have hope because of what He did:
May you find His salvation this year.
Jesus loves you so, your faults, He knows.

God sent Jesus for Christmas.

Great Love Brought Him To Us

Great Love Brought Him To Us

Christmas is here, the presents are wrapped;
The house is decked with red and green.
The wreaths are hung, Christmas lights are strung.
It's  all ready for Christmas Eve.

Though long ago, no decorations hung;
Only a star guiding the way.
In a sky full of stars made by our God's hands.
And a stable, filled with love and hay.

Better a stable filled with the love of God;
Than houses of gold without love.
The only gift that truly satisfies:
Is Christ, who was born unto us.

Christmas is here, the tree is all trimmed;
Packages placed neatly with care.
Silently the lights shine in the darkness;
And  silently a falling tear.

As we think upon the light of the world;
In the darkness, His glory gleamed.
He came as a gift, one silent night;
Beauty it was,  though humble it seemed.

Beautiful was the face of Jesus;
One day to be bruised for the lost.
 Beautiful were His hands and his feet;
One day to be nailed to a cross.

Virgin with child from God upon high;
Beautiful was the birth of Jesus;
The most beautiful Christmas of all;
Because great love brought Him to us.

So we pause today, we bow to pray;
"Oh Thank-you God for Jesus.
The light of Christmas, ever to shine;
Because your love, brought Him to us."

Jesus Wants Us To Be Ready

Jesus Wants Us To Be Ready

 What if Jesus came back today?
Or on this coming Christmas eve?
Would we be thinking of Jesus?
Would He be happy, would He be pleased?

What if Jesus came back in the clouds?
Upon  this coming Christmas day?
Would He find us blessing His birth?
If He returned on His birthday?

If the trump would sound, all around?
Calling the dead in Christ, "Arise?
Would we be ready at our turn?
To take flight to heavenly skies?

What if Jesus came back this Christmas?
Would you be ready to leave this world?
Would you even hear the trumpet?
Be ready to meet with the Lord?

Jesus wants us to be ready:
Whether tomorrow or today.
While decking halls and tins'ling trees;
Don't forget it's HIS birthday.

While hanging lights, that are so bright;
While hanging the bright star in place.
Remember sweet  Jesus was born:
T'was love, t'was truth, t'was life, t'was grace.

While driving along, singing a song;
While wrapping packages with bows:
Remember the child , so meek and mild;
The first gift of Christmas to know.

Jesus wants us to be ready:
Whether tomorrow or today.
With hearts afire, our thoughts higher;
Don't forget it's HIS birthday.

The Greatest Gift Is You

The Greatest Gift Is You

When I get up Christmas morning;
See the presents under the tree.
I'll remember to thank Jesus;
For the blessings He's given me.

Though Christmas is about giving;
Receiving's a blessing too.
Because we know the one who gives:
Is saying to us, " I love you."

Though our gifts cannot be compared;
With the greatest gift once given.
The gift wrapped in swaddling clothes;
The love of God sent from heaven.
---
The greatest gift, was you Jesus;
The greatest gift ever given.
You the Child, became our Savior;
Through your blood, our sins forgiven.

Each light that twinkles, each bead strung;
Every little thing we've done.
Each present wrapped dims because....
You, are the greatest  gift of all.

The greatest  gift, was you Jesus;
No greater love, has been given;
You are the light of the world.
The greatest gift came from heaven.

The greatest gift
The greatest gift
is YOU.
