Yeshua - In His Hand

Yeshua - In His Hand

I was blessed by a little boy I was watching in Sunday School this past week.  His name is Yeshua.  Yeshua is a one year old toddler, who is very busy.  He has a very short attention span.  I didn't realize it when his parents told me their boy's name was Yeshua, that his name is another name for Savior.  I realized later that it is the same name for Joshua as well, which is also another name for Savior.
I learned quite a few things about Yeshua, as I played with blocks, sang songs, made animal noises, played peaky boo, and follow the leader.  In this case I followed him all over the room making sure he didn't get hurt.  Yeshua wants to walk and he will be walking very soon.  Yeshua doesn't seem to make very much noise.  He did wine a little because his is teething and once he made a couple happy coos. He is, I think, one of the quietest baby's I have ever met.
Yeshua did something that spoke to my heart.  While we were playing blocks He noticed a little man among all the blocks.  He wanted to hold the little man in his hand.  He was putting all the blocks back into the container, but he wanted to keep the little man in his hand.  The blocks didn't matter to him, it was the little man he cared about.
You know what, in the same way, Jesus Our Savior cares about us, and when we are his children he holds us in his hand.  No matter what we are going through, if we love him and desire to please him.  He will help us through seemingly impossible odds, help us do seemingly impossible things, and use us in amazing ways.
Nothing else matters as much as mankind to God, because we are made in his image.  When Jesus came to die it was for man.  It wasn't for things he died, it was for people.
God's  desire is to rescue and to save.  The whole purpose of the death of Christ was to rescue the hell bound, by paying the debt of our sin.  God has offered the gift of eternal life to those that believe and receive the gift of salvation.  Repentance is the evidence of true belief.
God's not willing that any man should perish but that all would come to repentance and belief in Christ.
But it's up to you to see your need of him.  It's up to you to make Jesus your choice.  Choose you this day whom you will serve.
When you accept Christ, the bible says He comes in to abide in our hearts.  You become alive to Christ.
God wants to hold you in his hand as one of his dear children, because you matter, because he loves you.

Father God, If there's a Christian  out there who needs to know you are thinking about them and you haven't forgotten them. Show them today that you have them in your hand, show them that they matter to you and that you love them very much.  Also if someone out there has found that sin leaves them empty and troubled, I pray that you will open their eyes, open their ears to your call and rescue them from the sea of sin.  I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus our Savior and His shed blood  for mankind.  Amen

Joshua 24:15b   And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve;
2 Peter 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
