Ebb Away Ebb Away

Psalms 42:5 - 8
 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.  O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.
Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.

Draw Nigh To God

Draw Nigh To God

It must be very soon, we will see Jesus in the sky:
The trumpet must be warming up, to call us home.
The world is growing darker and sin just seems to prosper;
Many Christians  have wandered way on their own.

Confusion, disquiet, illusion and persecution;
Dangers to the Christian, in this spiritual fight.
The double minded are blown two and fro in this dark world;
That's what happens when you wander from the light.

( Chorus)
Draw nigh to God, believe, believe, all things are possible.
All things are possible to those who believe.
Praise His name, His holy name, don't let anger fret your heart;
Jesus is our lighthouse in the dark night of the sea.
-------------

Let not your heart be troubled, discouraged, dismayed;
When Jesus speaks or whispers peace, the storms obey.
Draw nigh to God, believe, believe, all thing are possible;
Oh, let your faith, chase ev'ry fear and doubt away.

Not tossed by the howling storms, that tempt the peaceful sea;
Let our hearts be assured and at peace like a dove.
Like a ship in the midnight, seeking guidance from above.
Let us look to the compass of God's  written love.

( Chorus)
Draw nigh to God, believe, believe, all things are possible.
All things are possible to those who believe.
Praise His name, His holy name, don't let anger fret your heart;
Jesus is our lighthouse in the dark night of the sea.

 James 4:8
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

 Hebrews 10:22
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Through The Storm

The updated one is at the bottom

Through The Storm

The storm winds blew upon the trees;
Harshly they bowed from side to side.
The whipping rain came down with sound;
The lightning lit the darkened sky.

Our faith was tried, sometimes we cried;
We wondered if we'd make it through.
We held on tight, kept God in sight;
That's all we knew that we could do.

It's when we praised our God above;
We felt our Saviors loving hug.
It's when we called upon His name;
Our strength was found in His great love.

Oh, when the whist'ling swirling winds;
Came to a gentle, peaceful end.
We saw the sunlight shining through;
Instead of tears, God's joy again.

 Psalms 30:5
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour
is life: weeping may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the morning.

Through The Storm

The cold winds blew upon the trees;
Harshly they turn from side to side.
The whipping rain came down with sound;
The lightning lit the darkened sky.

Our faith was tried, sometimes we cried;
We wondered if we'd make it through.
We held on tight, kept God in sight;
That's all we knew that we could do.

It's when we praised our God in faith;
We felt our Saviour’s loving hug.
It's when we called upon His name;
Our strength was found in His great love.

Oh, when the whistling swirling winds;
Came to a gentle, peaceful end.
We saw the sunlight shining through;
We felt safe and joyful again.

God is there with us in the storm.
God is with us in our sorrows.
God gives us faith through all our fears.
He gives us strength to face tomorrow.

As we keep our focus on Him.
As we place our burden on Him.
He renews right ambitions.
As we trust Him, as we love Him.

Even through the storm.
Even through the storm.

In Spite Of The Storm / ...Corrections

In Spite Of The Storm

Lord, fill my heart with the songs of your glory;
Of your love and of salvation story.
Fill my lips with the words you'd have me  say;
Fill my heart with the prayer you'd have me pray.
Lead me in paths of truth, in your righteousness;
Make my life, a life that will truly bless.
Fill my hands with the tasks you'd have me do;
Lord, help me to love in a world turning on you.
I know you're a Savior who walks on the storms;
And just with a word your peace caringly warms.
Let our joy flourish through trials and test;
That we may reach someone who really wants blest.
As the winds whistle and winter storms blow;
And all the woodlands filled with beautiful snow.
Let our heart be clean and worthy in your site.
That we may shine brightly in the darkest  night.
I know you're  a Savoir who walks on the waves;
And if we start sinking you'll reach down to save.
Let our faith flourish in spite of the storm;
Each  promise you've promised your're sure to perform.

Time And Time And Time Again

Time And Time And Time Again

Song: Susan Y Nikitenko

May 16th, 2012

Fill me with your goodness Lord;
Do  your loving through me.
Let other see your presence;
Even if they disagree.

Lead me in the words I say;
Guide me in the things I do.
Let my feet not stumble Lord;
Lest my life bring shame to you.

Sometimes I feel  very week;
I need your strength and power.
I love you and I need you;
Each moment and each hour.

It is your love that holds me;
It  is your grace that sustains me.
Through the valleys, through the storms;
You have embraced me constantly.

Words cannot express at all;
Just how  gracious you have been.
For your love has lifted me;
Time and time and time again.

Sometimes I feel  very week;
I need your strength and power.
I love you and I need you;
Each moment and each hour.

Words cannot express at all;
Just how  gracious you have been.
For your love has lifted me;
Time and time and time again.

Have Faith My Child 2

Have Faith My Child

Have Faith My Child

Look not, to the storming waves.
Look not, to the thundering blasts.
But look to the horizon of Grace.
Look now, upon His Holy face.

Have Faith My Child

Look not, to the enemies arrows.
Look not, to doubting questions of why.
But look to the East of sweet vict'ry.
Our Father's in control and draws nigh.

Have Faith My Child

Look not, at the circumstances of grim.
Look not, to the heartaches of woe.
But look to the Master of comfort;
Upon Him, your head, lay down low.

Have Faith My Child

Look not, to the attacks of this world.
Look not, to the ravings of men in sin;
But lay your towering burdens down.
By Grace, through faith, trust Him.

Have Faith My Child

Look not, to trumpeting failures.
Look not, to the regrets of the night.
But look to our heavenly mansions;
And walk in the meadows of might.

Have Faith My Child

See then, the vict'rys of mountains removed.
See then, His power and might, so divine.
When walking in faith, the path of His grace;
Sweet joy and great peace you will find.

Have Faith My Child

Walk on waters of assurance.
Live by faith, in the hand of our God
Feast on manna of heavens joy
Stand strong, sing praise, cheer and applaud.

Applaud the Things Of God

Sometimes - By: S Nikitenko

Treasure Box ~ Trusting God Through Hardship

Sometimes

Sometimes joy’s river ceases to flow.
Sometimes dark clouds, loom down long and low.
Sometimes great storms, hold back the sun.
Sometimes you just want to hide or run.

Look onward to our heavenly home.
Remember His promise, you’re not alone.
Fly like a bird, on the winds of His grace.
Find sweet assurance in His embrace.

Sometimes life’s pains are hard to bare.
Sometimes our heart, groans deep in despair.
Sometimes shadows of death pass by.
Sometimes alone, we cry out, Why?

Take the hand of God’s merciful love;
Who calms the sea and sent His Dove.
The God of all that lives and breaths;
Who made the rocks, the winds, the seas,

Will lead you through your darkest night,
Will help you through the terrible fight.
He’ll hold you up and you will stand.
He’ll lead you through, hold tight His hand.

And as the rains and storm winds blow;
The peace of God will ease pains flow.
Hold fast to faith, the shield of power;
And know your God wants you to flower.

Sometimes, the greatest fruitful child;
Has suffered through the greatest test.
And though the pain takes time to heal;
Remember Child, God’s love is real.

All night will shine like a new day;
When storm clouds lift and drift away.
Through parting clouds light will appear;
Our God will ease our ev'ry fear.

His loving touch will brush our tears;
And heal all pain, from worldly years.
Forevermore sweet smiles will shine;
And all our cares be left behind.

The Butterfly
A man found a cocoon for a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared, he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through the little hole.
Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and could go no farther. Then the man decided to help the butterfly.
He took a pair of scissors and snipped the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily.
Something was strange. The butterfly had a swollen body and shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.
Neither happened. In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and deformed wings. It was never able to fly.
What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand, was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the small opening of the cocoon are God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life.
If God allowed us to go through all our life without any obstacles, that would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been.
Not only that, we could never fly.

Saved in A Snowstorm

Saved In A Snowstorm

Flurry, scurry, everywhere
the falling snow, does blow.
A flock of geese a swaying
fall to the earth below.

Doubting man, says to his wife
“Don’t ask me to believe.”
“Why would God, come down to us,
a sinful world receive?”

Hurting wife, she goes to church;
her heart down in despair.
Crying out to God above
“Show him, Lord, you care.”

Her husband hears a noise outside,
Honking geese trapped in the snow;
Cold, confused, alone,
While cold winds whip and blow.

Compassion speaking to his heart,
“Those wandering geese need saved.”
He bundled up to go outside.
He called to them and waved.

Blowing sharply, wintry winds;
He tried to call and guide.
They simply would not listen,
Though a door stood open wide.

Frustrated and greatly grieved,
He said, in words so dim,
“The only way to save the geese,
Is by becoming one of them.”

He fell upon his knees, that day,
In wintry blowing snow.
Cried out to God, “I understand”
Your love!, I see!, I know!”

God so gracious and so kind;
in compassion, heart felt love,
He came down, to dwell with man
And left His home above.

Taking on our human flesh;
He felt our human pain.
Died upon, a wooden cross;
For sinners, He was slain.

No greater love, there’s ever been;
Than that of this Great One.
In Human Flesh, Our loving God,
Sent us His only Son.
