The Candle Lighting
Gathering from all around.
Waiting for Christmas festivities;
To illuminate the town.
Twinkling lights along the roadside;
A parade of carolers;
Singing noel, noel, noel, noel;
While listeners are stirred.
Shopping is open, and cocoa is served.
People coming in from the cold;
Registers ringing, ching, ching, ching, ching;
Gifts for both young and old.
Everyone is handed a candle;
All come together to pray.
Then a sea of candle lights, light the streets;
In honor of Christmas day.
Children sing oh,
halleluiah;
In a live nativity.
All to honor God's gift to the world:
God's love sent to you and me.
