Faith

Faith

 While my daughter and I were witnessing at a County Fair, a man claiming to be an atheist stopped to talk to my daughter.  He said he didn't believe in having any faith in anything at all.  My daughter tried giving him a couple examples of faith.  One was the wind, we can't see it, but we know it's there because we can feel it and see the effects of it.  The example didn't seem to impact his thinking, but my daughter noticed something.  He kept calling her honey, so it lead my daughter to  realize he must have a daughter.  She asked him if he had a daughter and the man said he did.

God gave her something to say that was a beautiful illustration of faith.  She asked," If your daughter  were to be trapped  in a burning building, yelling for help out a window twenty or thirty feet high." " If you asked her to jump would you want her to believe you?"  He replied, "Why sure I love my daughter and I'd want her to trust me to catch her."  Then my daughter asked, " How would  she know for sure you would catch her?" "What would make her jump from a dangerous thirty feet into your arms?"  The man realized then, she would have to trust him, she would have to have faith in him.
She would have to trust him in order for her life to be saved.

This is an excellent example of the imminent danger of eternal death facing all those who are trapped  and lost in their sins.  Hell is burning every day, but we do not see it's flames, we just know it exists because God tells us about it in his Word.  People die every day, people go to hell every day.  When the bible talks about being saved, God sees the burning flames of hell that are about to swallow them up at the moment of their death.  God doesn't want anyone going to hell.  He loves them and wants them to trust him and knows it will take faith in everything God has promised and as the father calling up to his daughter to jump out of the burning building about to take her life.  She by faith in his love, will jump to be caught safely in his arms.

If a father of this world will love his daughter so, ... Greater yet is the love of our heavenly Father, who longs to pull you to eternal forgiveness  and safety through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:1
For by grace are
ye saved through faith;
 and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God:

Saved By Grace

 Saved By Grace

If I were saved by singing;
A melody in tune.
Or by running in a race;
From midnight until noon.

If I stood up to a giant;
That was too big for me.
Or climbed the highest mountain;
That echoed Calvary;

If I were saved by good taste;
Or by a pretty face.
Or I were saved by good works;
It would not be of grace.

We are saved by grace through faith;
Not of works we have sown.
But by his most precious blood;
Through Christ Jesus alone.

It's good to give to the poor;
Be kind to a needy soul.
To offer a helping hand;
These are all worthy goals.

If I were saved by sharing;
Or washing dirty feet.
Or very particular;
And liked everything neat.

If I were saved by talent;
Or someone's sweet  embrace.
If  I were saved by good works;
It would not be of grace.

We are saved by grace through faith;
Not of works we have sown.
But by his most precious blood;
Through Christ  Jesus alone.

Keep True To The Faith (Song)

  Keep True To The Faith

God commands us to be a light;
He commands we do what's right.
He wants us to live faithfully;
Living by faith and not by sight.
He sees the things that are unseen;
He knows our thoughts and where we've been.
He knows the lies of evil men;
His justice will be dealt to them.
He knows them, who are true to Him;
He teaches us to hate our sin.
He molds us into His image;
Guides us along life's pilgrimage.

Chorus:
Keep true to the faith;
Keep true to the fight.
We live in an age;
We must do what's right.
It's never too late;
To turn to the Lord.
Don't be discouraged;
Rejoice evermore.

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Dust Yourself Off

 Dust Yourself Off

Put on the armor of the Truth;
Put on the armor of the Lord.
 Resist the lures of the devil;
And walk worthy in this world.

Walk in the footsteps of Jesus;
Walk in His power and His might.
Trust in the power of His Word;
Stand firm in this spiritual fight.

Dust off the failures of your past;
Gain courage from our God above.
Continue on facing heaven;
Serving faithfully in His love.

Because every moment  counts;
And every soul precious to Him.
We effect each person we meet;
Get up and serve the Lord my friend.

Walk in the paths of renewal;
His blood is on the mercy seat;
Trust in the power of  His grace;
Live not in the swamp of defeat.

Be courageous, pray and repent;
Dust yourself off, and stand again;
We are more than over comers;
For We can do all thing in Him.

God said it and I believe it;
He will supply the strength we need.
Follow, trusting Him all the way;
And let Him always take the lead.

In Spite Of The Storm / ...Corrections

In Spite Of The Storm

Lord, fill my heart with the songs of your glory;
Of your love and of salvation story.
Fill my lips with the words you'd have me  say;
Fill my heart with the prayer you'd have me pray.
Lead me in paths of truth, in your righteousness;
Make my life, a life that will truly bless.
Fill my hands with the tasks you'd have me do;
Lord, help me to love in a world turning on you.
I know you're a Savior who walks on the storms;
And just with a word your peace caringly warms.
Let our joy flourish through trials and test;
That we may reach someone who really wants blest.
As the winds whistle and winter storms blow;
And all the woodlands filled with beautiful snow.
Let our heart be clean and worthy in your site.
That we may shine brightly in the darkest  night.
I know you're  a Savoir who walks on the waves;
And if we start sinking you'll reach down to save.
Let our faith flourish in spite of the storm;
Each  promise you've promised your're sure to perform.

Bargain of a Lifetime

Bargain of a Lifetime

I know about a bargain;
You really should invest.
This is such a perfect deal;
Better than the best.
Worth more than fine rubies,
Worth more than pure gold,
Worth more than great treasures,
But yet is not sold.
It’s better than houses;
And better than lands.
Better than fortunes;
Yet free to all man.
Bargain of a lifetime;
Really! It’s a steal!
You’ve really got to have it.
It’s really quite a deal.
It will last forever.
It is guaranteed.
It provides enough,
To fill your every need.
It provides a lot of joy.
Gives, peace and perfect rest.
Put it in your home;
It makes a happy nest.
It provides a place of help,
When you find yourself in need,
And from the fear of death;
forever you are freed.
Perfect for the price;
Belief, it is the key.
Free, it’s for the taking;
Yours eternally.
Jesus is the treasure,
Received into your heart.
You will be so very rich,
And have a brand new start.

God is Able

God Is Able

One of the great truths of God's Word that always gives me hope is that God's Word will not return to Him void.  Even if every attempt to share God's Word were to be intercepted by some unknown source, He promises our efforts will not be in vein.  Though it seems our efforts of love and faithfulness seem to fall to the ground.  We know that God will never lie and cannot lie.  If an enemy were to twist our motives and make our attempts to serve God to appear as something evil.  God knows the heart and has power over life and death.  He holds the very heart of our enemy in His hand.  Our hope is in Jesus, this life is temporal.   Let us look forward loving Jesus all the way.

Though this life has many tears and disappointments, many failures and discouragements.  Our future is sure. His promises stand and our HOPE is alive.  God is most certainly able.  Just as He was able to deliver The three Hebrew children from the fiery furnace, just as He was  able to deliver Daniel from the hungry lions jaws, just as God is able to make all grace abound toward us , just as He is able to save to the uttermost those that come to Him.  He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
Continue in His hope.  Continue with joy.  Continue with faith, Continue with love, Continue with courage, Continue with strength, Continue with confidence. Continue in His peace.  Because God never throws His babies away and His Word never returns to Him void.
How wonderful it is to be a child of God.
Ephesians 3:20

I Trust You Through Life’s Alarms

I Trust You Through Life’s Alarms

By: Susan Y Nikitenko   2010

Though a blinding fog blocks my full sight,

Though I can not understand His way,

I will not fear the hole in the ground;

Or troubles or worrisome sound.

I will trust the all seeing eyes of God;

Who leads blinded men through darkest night,

And when I fear to take in faith, the step.

His leading grace, by faith, will be my light.

His lamp is daily there before me;

To lead through this place of darkness, dim,

And when mangled pain of life presses me;

I will follow His light and trust in Him.

Though death brings sorrow, I can’t see past.

I’m injured and blinded by thick fog.

I will jump into His arms of love;

And seek His tender comforting dove.

If tempted with bitterness to lie;

I choose, to feel through darkness alone.

What a comfortless, existence, I fear;

Would steal all joy, year, year after year.

For to choose a life of freedom and joy;

One must choose the road of trust and faith;

And when your path meets your darkest hour;

Upon His bosom find needed power.

I can not walk this path alone, Oh God;

Lest I trip, or blow through painful winds.

Upon your grace, I lay my life;

Oh Father, upon you I will depend.

Carry me through the dark paths of life.

Hold tight my trembling fainting heart.

Lest anytime in fear I turn in doubt;

And from your help I choose to depart.

But No, But No, I run to you, Oh God.

I cuddle safely into your arms.

As a child, gazing into your loving eyes;

 Hand to cheek, say, “I trust you through life’s alarms.”

Quilted In Love

Quilted In Love

God- see's the beginning:
God see's the final end.
Life is stitched - in His love;
And sings within the wind.

Like a- loving mother;
Crochets or quilts a gift.
God is quilting in His love;
With golden threads adrift.

When troubles and great trials;
Seem to crash- all around.
Not a sin-gle voice of cheer;
In this world - can be found.

We find ourselves asking;
Is our Lord in control?
Has He left me here alone?
Does He care for my soul?

In this world of trouble;
Confusing, though it be.
God's golden threads of hope;
Gives hope, when we can't see.

Stitching here , mending there;
With precision, designed.
He is busy stitching;
A quilt that's golden lined.

Like a quilt upon His knee;
He holds each child with care.
He knows all our weaknesses'
He knows when there's despair.

He knows all of our needs;
and our choices and plans.
He knows the pain that we feel;
Like the prints in His hands.

Each quilt is valuable;
A golden lined life displayed.
A quilt designed, unique;
With worth that can't be weighed.

Will you yield to His quilting?
Will you desire His will?
As He's quilting His purpose;
In humility kneel?

If a quilt lays down yielded;
God's golden threads will gleam.
And to the world around it;
Jesus will clearly be seen.

Romans 6:13
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
1John 3:16
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

He Will Make A Way

He Will Make A Way

_________________________________________________

Susan Y Nikitenko

April 3rd, 2012

He will fight our battles for us;
He will make a way.
He will bring His children vict'ry;
When we humbly pray.

When we are blinded by a storm;
Hard to understand.
He sees the good and sees the bad;
All across this land.

When it seems our efforts worthless;
And the outcome bleak.
Still we've  learned to love our Savior;
And to boldly speak.

So if it seems the battles ended;
And doesn't seem fair.
God still holds the world in His hand;
Our home is temp'ral  here.

Be not distressed ,nor be afraid;
We are pilgrims here.
We have the Savior in our hearts;
Who comforts all our care.

Let us continue to rejoice;
In our risen Lord.
Who won the vict'ry long ago;
With love as His sword.

 2Choronicles 7:14
 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

How Could We Forget So Soon? Easter

How Could We Forget So Soon?
An Easter Prayer  Poem About God's Provision

How could we forget so soon;
The agony you faced for us that day?
How could we forget so soon;
The sacrifice you were willing to pay?

How could we forget at all;
The miracle of your resurrection?
How could we forget at all;
Your power revealed in all creation?

Not one mountain is too tall;
The greatest ocean is never too wide.
No problem or obstacle;
Is too enormous- you still can provide.

Hells power could not keep you;
Life returned to your lungs that Easter day.
The angels stood by your tomb;
With great force, the tomb's stone was rolled away.

There you stood in the doorway;
Our victorious risen Holy Lord.
Death and Hell could not keep you;
You provided love to this world.

Perhaps the birds were singing;
Maybe Easter lilies lined the pathway.
Did the angels rejoice there;
In celebration of that Holy day?

We serve a  risen Savoir.
You see our hearts and know our faintest cry.
We serve a loving Savior.
Your grace is never lacking in supply.

Not one mountain is too tall;
The greatest ocean is never too wide.
No problem or obstacle;
Is too enormous -  you still can provide.
