Just A Little Note - About My Life

Just A Little Note - About My Life

A lady from our church had a husband that was dying of cancer.  I called her, to check on her and listened to her for a very long time. Before we got of f the phone,  I asked her if I could pray for her and her husband.  I prayed and we said goodnight.  As soon as we hung up the phone she immediately called back with news that her husband had died.  I believe God wanted me to talk to her the hour or so before her husband died.  God knows our needs before we know we need them.  God allowed me to be the person to help prepare her for what was about to happen.  I was stunned by the fact He died as soon as we hung up the phone.  I know it will be a memory in my friends heart for a long time and mine too.  Things like that do not happen by accident.

I'm reminded in my heart what a great responsibility we have dealing with the hearts of people.  I pray the Lord will help me be the person I need to be...for her and all those God puts in my path.

Father God, Please be with my friend through all the coming days she has to face.  Give her grace to face each day, hold her in your arms of your comfort.  Provide her needs for help and support during this time of grieving.
  In The Name Of Christ Jesus I Pray This - Amen

Dying Without The Light - updated

Dying Without The Light

This past October I decided for the first time to carve some pumpkins.  Now last year my son in law and daughter carved the pumpkin for the  "Pumpkin With A Purpose Lesson", that I wrote last year, but we only used it in the classroom.

I had around eight pumpkins.  I  was thinking how  pretty they would look all lit up with
 the gospel message shining through.  Talk about scaring some devils away. - he he
Anyway, we carved six of the pumpkins and set them outside awaiting the day to light them.

We apparently had carved them too soon and the weather got warm and they slowly started to fade away.  My husband and I were the only ones here.   I have no little children here to enjoy them anymore.  We never have any trick or treaters, though we normally buy candy just in case.  So the pumpkins  just sat out  there and died without any light.  They said nice things like, Jesus loves you  and even had a cross, but there was absolutely no light on the inside.

This reminds me of people who have trusted in the wrong things for salvation.  The bible talks about them.
Like the people who will say  " Lord, Lord I've done many wonderful work in your name".  I'm sure they did many wonderful works even gave to the poor and the needy.  Those things are all great things to do
but there's only one way to heaven.  God's not going to open heaven's gate to one who has trusted his own good works to get him there.  I must also say though,  good works will be the fruit of a true believer in Christ.  Jesus said himself ,we shall know them by their fruit.

There are many people who wear a cross and even tell others Jesus loves them, but the question is do they have a light on... on the inside themselves.  Have they ever really trusted in the right things for salvation? Without Christ living and dwelling in our hearts we would be religious, but we wouldn't  be saved.  We wouldn't have any light.

There are many people who are like those pumpkins outside that never got lit.  They die thinking  " I think I've lived good enough to make it to heaven", but they never were lit up on the inside.  They never trusted Christ alone for salvation.  They were really good people, seemingly perfect, but it's not the right way....yes even for a true believer,  we know Christ tells us there is coming a day when every man's work  (man and woman) will be tried by fire.  Then we shall know what manner of work it was.  but for an unbeliever his works were never done in the power of Christ.  He never had a light.

We as Christians need to be sharing the gospel light,  that others may believe and receive the gospel message and in turn be a light in a dark place.

Matthew 7:22-23
 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

1 Corinthians  3:13
 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Roman 1:16
 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

My Little One

My Little One

My little one, at heaven's gate;
With open arms, our Savior waits.
I know that you, will never lack;
I'll see you soon, when Christ comes back.

Your little hands, will serve the Lord;
Your little feet, will ride the storms.
Your little smile, bring joy to all;
And greet me when, I come to call.

You'll see the stars, above God's throne;
I know you'll never be alone.
And when my aching arms long for you;
I know my God, will care for you.

I Love You.

Just A Thought:

If someone were to ask me if I thought angels were babies.  I would have to say that angels are angels and babies are babies.  In response to something I had read, I had asked the question to myself," what if angels did have special jobs? "  I believe with all my heart that God not only uses angels for special jobs, but he also has special jobs in heaven for a child that has died before it could ever be born or any child taken before the age of accountability for that matter.  God has jobs for all true believers that enter heaven's gate no matter their age.  I'm not sure what those jobs will be like, but I know one thing they will be heavenly, they will be joyful and they will be done perfectly.

 Hebrews 13:2
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Matthew 19:14
 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Revelations  21:4
 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

This Is Not Good-bye

This song is dedicated to the memory of Paw, who accepted Christ as his Savior in the months  of suffering before his death.  He died February 23rd, 2012.  He was a World War II veteran from the Army Air Corp.  He was 87 years old.

This Is Not Good-bye
( song)
Don't worry 'bout me;
I am free at last.
I'm walkin' on gold;
I'm forever blest.

Don't cry any tears;
Let me tell you why.
Cause, heavens my home;
This is not goodbye.

My heart beats with joy;
Like I've never known.
My praises perfect;
At my Fathers thrown.

Don't worry 'bout me;
Don't let your heart pine;
Now and forever;
I'm doin'  just fine.

My pain is all gone;
My tears wiped away.
I am rejoicing;
In eternal day.

I've seen the nail prints;
In His giving hands.
I've seen great wonders;
Hard to understand.

My heart beats with joy;
Like I've never known.
My praises perfect;
At my Fathers thrown.

So--  Don't cry any tears;
Let me tell you why.
Cause, heavens my home;
This is not goodbye.

This is not good - bye.

When The Last Leaf Has Fallen

When The Last Leaf  Has Fallen

When the last leaf has fallen;
I will see my Saviors face.
We will talk face to face that day;
About His love and His grace.

When the last leaf has fallen
When my eyes have closed in death
I'll be with sweet, sweet Jesus;
And forever will be blessed.

When The last leaf has fallen;
And I'll tell this world good-bye.
I'll say hello to Jesus;
I'll know all the reasons why.

=============================

We do not understand many things we
have to go through here   BUT ONE
DAY  when we see Jesus we
will understand.

Sometimes - By: S Nikitenko

Treasure Box ~ Trusting God Through Hardship

Sometimes

Sometimes joy’s river ceases to flow.
Sometimes dark clouds, loom down long and low.
Sometimes great storms, hold back the sun.
Sometimes you just want to hide or run.

Look onward to our heavenly home.
Remember His promise, you’re not alone.
Fly like a bird, on the winds of His grace.
Find sweet assurance in His embrace.

Sometimes life’s pains are hard to bare.
Sometimes our heart, groans deep in despair.
Sometimes shadows of death pass by.
Sometimes alone, we cry out, Why?

Take the hand of God’s merciful love;
Who calms the sea and sent His Dove.
The God of all that lives and breaths;
Who made the rocks, the winds, the seas,

Will lead you through your darkest night,
Will help you through the terrible fight.
He’ll hold you up and you will stand.
He’ll lead you through, hold tight His hand.

And as the rains and storm winds blow;
The peace of God will ease pains flow.
Hold fast to faith, the shield of power;
And know your God wants you to flower.

Sometimes, the greatest fruitful child;
Has suffered through the greatest test.
And though the pain takes time to heal;
Remember Child, God’s love is real.

All night will shine like a new day;
When storm clouds lift and drift away.
Through parting clouds light will appear;
Our God will ease our ev'ry fear.

His loving touch will brush our tears;
And heal all pain, from worldly years.
Forevermore sweet smiles will shine;
And all our cares be left behind.

The Butterfly
A man found a cocoon for a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared, he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through the little hole.
Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and could go no farther. Then the man decided to help the butterfly.
He took a pair of scissors and snipped the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily.
Something was strange. The butterfly had a swollen body and shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.
Neither happened. In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and deformed wings. It was never able to fly.
What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand, was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the small opening of the cocoon are God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life.
If God allowed us to go through all our life without any obstacles, that would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been.
Not only that, we could never fly.
