Let Not My Branch Lay Barren Lord

Oh Lord, May I abide in you;
May my life bear lasting fruit.
Forgive my heart, let me not doubt;
I can do all things in you.

Like the joy of a summer morn;
A field filled with sweet new corn;
I know how joyful we will be.
If we will abide in thee.

There's faith that makes the weakest strong;
Like a mustard seed so small.
In Christ, we grow and learn and be;
While abiding constantly.

Let not my branch lay barren Lord;
Fill my baskets with  your peace;
Fill my barns with fruits of blessing;
Your righteousness may increase.

I pray my fields do not lay waste;
My hands not labor in vain.
Fill my arms with fruit from the fields;
Lest my tears fall like Autumn rains.

No greater love we've ever known;
Then the love you've gladly shown.
Like a vine filled with pleasant  blooms;
Show me how to love like you.

(Song)

No greater love, no greater love, than we have ever known.
No greater love than the love you've gladly shown.
Like a vine filled with fruits of your Spirit;
Show me how to love you, Lord,
Show me how to love like you.

Chorus:

 1Corinthians 15:58
 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

When The Autumn of Life Has Ended

When The Autumn of Life Has Ended

Autumn is a fanciful season;
The leaves a colorful glow.
The squirrels gather for winter;
Before the cold winter’s snow.

Pumpkins brighten grandmas front porch;
Scarecrows cheer each passerby.
Harvest cooking fills the autumn air;
Apple tarts and pumpkin pie.

The wooly bear forecasts the weather;
The flowers of summer fade.
Bringing forth life in a tiny seed;
A miracle that is heaven made.

Memories and laughter fill my heart;
When I think about it all.
The yearly hayride until dark;
And all the fun in the Fall.

I am reminded this time of year;
We must gather and prepare.
Because harvest time is ending soon;
Soon our Jesus will appear.

And though fall is beautifully designed;
And holds a place in my heart.
There’s nothing like my home awaiting;
Filled with God’s celestial art.

If we fill our lives with goodness;
And plant God’s seeds ‘long the way.
When the autumn of life has ended;
They will bloom a sweet bouquet.

Cleaning Up Leaves - 2

 Cleaning Up Leaves - 2

 As you know I've been cleaning up the leaves and dry stems  left from the late fall and winter months.  I thought I did a pretty good job but a small storm came through and I realized I still have quite a bit of work to do.  I looked out my window and leaves were everywhere cluttering what i'd already cleaned.

I was thinking about this and thought , you know what?   Our Christian walk is allot like this too.  We think we're doin'  a pretty good job.  But then a storm comes through,  we find out we still have allot more cleanin'  up to do.  I don't know about you.  But every time I turn around I'm learning something else I needed to learn and sometimes I have to learn the same things over again.  Especially during and after the storms of life.  God seems to use these times to show us just how much we need Him and how we better not get too big for our britches.

Cleaning Up Leaves

Cleaning Up Leaves

Leaves are beautiful in the fall but in the springtime they can make a big mess.  If they're not cleaned up they tend to kill any new growth underneath.    While I was blowing the leaves I uncovered some daffodils that would have never been able to grow and bloom if they stayed smothered under all those wet leaves.  So hopefully I'll get to enjoy these little blessings in late Spring.

God wants us to grow in so many ways, He wants our lives to be a blessing to others.  He wants our lives to bring Him glory.  We need to get rid of all the dead leaves bogging us down.  Is there anything holding you back from being your best for God?  If so....Then you need to clean up some leaves.

Hebrews 12:1   ¶ Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

When The Last Leaf Has Fallen

When The Last Leaf  Has Fallen

When the last leaf has fallen;
I will see my Saviors face.
We will talk face to face that day;
About His love and His grace.

When the last leaf has fallen
When my eyes have closed in death
I'll be with sweet, sweet Jesus;
And forever will be blessed.

When The last leaf has fallen;
And I'll tell this world good-bye.
I'll say hello to Jesus;
I'll know all the reasons why.

=============================

We do not understand many things we
have to go through here   BUT ONE
DAY  when we see Jesus we
will understand.

Autumn's Song Is The Harvest Song

Autumn's Song Is The Harvest Song

The garden leaves fall to the ground:
My face looks up while they fall down.
Without making one single sound;
Like flowers they lay all around.

Leaves whisking here and whipping there;
While Autumn winds sing Autumn's  song.
God's creatures they must sing along;
While they're gathering all day long.

The Summer  flowers are faded now;
The gardens need much love and care.
Winter knocks at the door of fall;
"Gather the Harvest!  Gather it All!"

Autumn's song is the harvest song;
Can you hear the warning winds?
Calling now for you to repent:
Before the Autumn season ends.

Jesus is coming to gather;
He calls to the wandering ones.
The winds of harvest are changing
The will of the Father be done.

O come reap the harvest of hope;
A bountiful harvest of love.
Jesus our Saviors is coming;
To take us to our home above.

"Gather the harvest Lord, gather it all;"
The trumpet of heaven leads this call.
The leaves are falling, heavens  calling;
"Gather the harvest , gather it all."

We've worked, we've sown and we've grown;
The garden is ready to glean.
And now winter cries out,  Prepare!
Jesus is very, very near.
Jesus is very, very near.
Winter cries out,  Prepare!

 I Thessalonians  4:17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

 Matthew 24:36

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

 Mark 13:32

But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
