Children Need A Mother
Mothers rock the cradle of the future they say;
But things have changed it seems.
The old fashioned ways are disappearing from sight;
As though they were a dream.
But God has some who have stayed true to the old paths;
God's plan for families.
God is great and God is just as true as before;
While most do what they please.
Never mind that life is a temporary place;
But then comes judgment day.
When someone will answer for the child left behind;
With no mother to pray.
Some children are left alone to fend for themselves;
Even more so today.
Who will not gain confidence through loving parents;
Nor will they find their way.
Some may never know what it's like to be hugged;
By a loving mother.
Nor will they ever know the love and care she can give;
Children need a mother.
A mother, a father and a place to call home;
A bed with a pillow.
To feel love and security in a family;
A place to learn and grow.
A place that feels like home; A place that smells like home;
A place of hopes and dreams.
A place that makes the heart of the child feel happiness;
A place that's calm and clean.
No place is a perfect place unless it's heaven;
Still love is the greatest need.
From special people, the love of faithful parents;
Who supply their children's needs.
