I Planted Some Seed

The Picture Is for This Poem Only

I planted some seeds in my garden, hoping for a beautiful crop, but when roses began to bloom, my heart was filled with praise to God. He gave me more than I expected—a lasting harvest and eternal forgiveness, a truth I’ve held close. I planted seeds of compassion and prayed for them to grow, and He gave me people to shower with love along the way. I sowed seeds of encouragement, asking God to bless them, and He filled my heart with hope to share with everyone I know. I planted seeds of faithfulness, praying over my small offerings, and He filled my garden with faith—though I noticed a few weeds. I asked Him to forgive my doubt, pulled the weeds, and He set me apart. Tested and tried, I wondered if I might have to give my life so others could live, like a pod releasing its seeds.

I Planted Some Seed

I planted some seed in my  garden;
In hopes of a beautiful crop.
But when It came sprouting up roses;
God's praise filled my every thought.

God gave me more than I hoped for;
He gave me a harvest that lasts.
He gave me forgiveness eternal;
And I 've kept this truth in my grasp.

 I planted some seed of compassion;
And I prayed Lord please help it grow.
So the Lord gave to me a remnant;
To shower with love as I go.

 I planted seeds of encouragement;
And prayed Lord bless the seed I sow.
So the Lord filled my heart with His hope;
To share with all people I know.

I planted seeds of  faithfulness;
And prayed Lord bless these meager seeds;
The Lord filled my garden full of faith;
But I found a few  little weeds.

So I prayed  to the Lord in heaven;
Please, forgive me,  the doubt in my heart.
I pulled out the weeds from my garden.
And the Lord, He set me apart.

Tested And tried I thought I would die;
I thought to myself could it be?
That I must die for others to live;
Like a pod that casts forth it's seeds.

 John 12:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
