Her Face Was Full of Smiles
Mother worked very hard;
Sewing both day and night.
For our Easter clothing;
had to be done just right.
Sewing both day and night.
For our Easter clothing;
had to be done just right.
Her face was full of smiles;
as we pranced in new clothes.
We looked just like angels;
From our head to our toes.
as we pranced in new clothes.
We looked just like angels;
From our head to our toes.

A Memory
My mother sat upon my bed;
We played with paper dolls.
It left with me, a memory;
though I was very small.
We played with paper dolls.
It left with me, a memory;
though I was very small.

I Held My Mother
I held my mother in my arms;
With smiles of joy to hold her near.
But she so week, I kissed her cheek;
Then sadness, filled my eyes with tears.
With smiles of joy to hold her near.
But she so week, I kissed her cheek;
Then sadness, filled my eyes with tears.
