I Thank God For You

Another year, another day, another moment, without delay;

Let us give thanks unto the Lord our God for all He's given us.

Oh how often  we do forget,  just how good our God has been;

In providing us a home of love and gentle tenderness.

I know sometimes days go wrong and things don't  always go  our way;

but I can say that I love you in that good old fashioned way.

I know life hasn't always been perfect,  but what I feel  for you is real;

So if you haven't heard it enough,  know this, I thank God for you today.

Though we've had to travel some  rough roads in this life together;

Though we've  had hurdles that were just plain hard to get over.

Forgiveness has lead us to higher ground, by The grace of our Lord.

Love has lead us through , not by chance, nor by any four leaf clover.

Another year, another day, another moment, without delay;

Let us give thanks unto the Lord our God for all He's given us.

Let us remember the many years we reared with love and care;

Our two little girls, sometimes with giggles, sometimes with fuss.

Now that our children are grown, are  married and out on their own;

I thank the Lord I have you in my life and that I am your wife.

May I never let a day go by without saying thank-you;

For you being you, A man of honor, who fulfils  my life.

Singin' a song.

Waitin' for my honey;

To come along.

I've got a valentine;

I made for him.

Sayin'  how sweet he is;

My life time friend.

We've been ridin' along;

Along life's trail.

For a very long time;

And all is well.

A happy valentine;

Yes that is me.

Cause I've got a Valentine;

Who's in love with me.

Oh, yes it's true.

Oh How in love, I am with you;

If I could only find the words.

That express how you move my passion;

I love you, Oh how I love you.

The stars that shine, shine brighter;

The moon above  becomes romance.

 Every time I think of you;

 My beating heart begins to dance.

Every time I look into your eyes;

I can see that your love is real.

I have found you, my forever;

I love you, Oh how I love you.

You are no doubt , my best friend;

Laughter just comes naturally.

When I walk and talk with you;

Your thoughts mean so much to me.

Our lives will soon be as one ;

Walking side by side in this life.

Your strong hand will clasp to mine;

With love and joy as man and wife.

Rose In Waiting

I wrote this in 2009 for my son in-law;

For his and my daughters marriage.

I didn't know  who it was for when I wrote it,

God meant for me to write it for them. 

God just knew it before I did.

It's written in the perspective

 of the groom

How lovely my rose in waiting;

Your eyes like green crystals shine.

God has blessed me with your love:

And now forever you'll be mine.

Your hair shimmering, flows like silk.

Your essence permeates my heart.

Soon we will be making our home;

And tasting of loves sweet honey comb.

We shall travel this road together;

Treasuring the miracles of life.

Watching each flower bloom and grow;

And cherish life as man and wife.

Hand in hand called to the mission field;

We will submit and serve  the Lord.

Hand in hand, me and my lovely bride;

We'll reach out to a lost dark world.

I've dreamed of this day from childhood;

To meet the great love of my life.

Oh, how wonderful my God and King:

My heart rejoices ,my heart loudly sings.

For He's given to me a priceless gift;

An helpmate that makes me complete.

I'll treasure our love in His presence;

You're precious, you're lovely, you're sweet.

Once I see my bride in gown, pure white;

Flowing gently down loves isle.

Tears will flow from my joyful eyes;

As I greet my darling with a smile.

Our first embrace of love, our kiss;

A treasured memory I'll keep hold.

I'll love you dear, from year to year;

In love now, In love young, In love old.
