I Thank God For You
Another year, another day, another moment, without delay;
Let us give thanks unto the Lord our God for all He's given us.
Oh how often we do forget, just how good our God has been;
In providing us a home of love and gentle tenderness.
I know sometimes days go wrong and things don't always go our way;
but I can say that I love you in that good old fashioned way.
I know life hasn't always been perfect, but what I feel for you is real;
So if you haven't heard it enough, know this, I thank God for you today.
Though we've had to travel some rough roads in this life together;
Though we've had hurdles that were just plain hard to get over.
Forgiveness has lead us to higher ground, by The grace of our Lord.
Love has lead us through , not by chance, nor by any four leaf clover.
Another year, another day, another moment, without delay;
Let us give thanks unto the Lord our God for all He's given us.
Let us remember the many years we reared with love and care;
Our two little girls, sometimes with giggles, sometimes with fuss.
Now that our children are grown, are married and out on their own;
I thank the Lord I have you in my life and that I am your wife.
May I never let a day go by without saying thank-you;
For you being you, A man of honor, who fulfils my life.
