Hand In Hand - June 14th 2013

 Family unity

Hand in Hand

A father watches over His children;
Just as God watches over men.
He wants what's best, because he wants them blest;
So he shelters them from life's sin.

 

This father of three felt so alone;
He thought in His heart, help me Lord.
He looked to the side and then He spied;
A place to restore, three children bored.

 

Before it got dark, they went to the park;
A fun day of no cost to do;
He watches them splash in the sparkling stream;
He laughs and has some fun too.

 

He felt kind of sad, and even felt mad;
Because His pockets were empty.
Then His eldest said, as she grasped His hand;
Don't worry, it will be okay daddy.

 

He fell to His knees and He hugged all three;
He cried, as they prayed together.
He said no matter what happens in life;
Be true to Christ Jesus forever.

 

They walked hand in hand into the sun;
With love overflowing inside.
Happy Father's day the little one said;
As He drew to His Daddy's  side.

 

Happy father's day, the other two chimed;
Thank-you daddy, for all of the fun.
They gave each other strength with God's grace;
And they disappeared into the sun.

This is a fictional story poem:
 about a young family trying to survive after the death of
the mother.  The father finds something to get their minds off things for a little while. 
In this short scene: They make a commitment to
stay faithful to Christ even through the hardest things in life.

When using the word men in the King James Version of the Bible it's speaking of mankind.

Our Many Blessings

Verse 1
It's time to count ( count!)
Our many blessings.
It's time to count ( count!)
Our many blessings.
One and two, three and four;
God has blessed us that's for sure.
With country free and family;
Our  God, who loves you and me.
All the flowers seas and trees;
Raindrops, starlight, colored leaves.
It's time to count ( count!)
Our many blessings.

It's time to count ( count!)
Our many blessings.

Five and six, seven, eight;
Giving thanks, appreciate.
All the apples grapes and pears;
Our eyes, our nose and our ears.
All the creatures great and small;
And the mountains all so tall.

Nine and ten, eleven, twelve.
With great thanks let's give a yell;
For our  feet,  our  heart, our hands;
Sisters. brothers, other lands.
For sunlight, the  moon at night;
And the wind to fly my kite.
