Little True Stories To Encourage.

🌸🌼🌷🌺🌻  •  🌻🌺🌷🌼🌸

πŸ¦‰ 1. The Lost Button

Mrs. Ellison was sewing a patch on her grandson’s coat when she noticed a button missing. She searched the floor, the sewing box, even the laundry basket — nothing. Just as she sighed and gave up, she spotted it nestled in the folds of her Bible cover.

She smiled. “Even the little things, Lord?”
Yes. Even the little things.

“But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.”
Luke 12:7 (KJV)

🌸 2. The Quiet Hug

Little Ava had a rough morning. Her shoes didn’t match, her cereal spilled, and her feelings were too big for words. At church, she sat quietly until Miss Ruth knelt beside her and simply opened her arms.

Ava melted into the hug. No sermon. No speech. Just love.

“Let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”
1 John 3:18 (KJV)

🌿 3. The Garden Note

Tom was planting spring bulbs when he found a note tucked under a stone:
“Thank you for sharing your garden. It gives me hope.”
No name. No date. Just kindness blooming quietly.

Tom smiled and whispered, “Lord, let me keep planting.”

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

🌿 The Bridge of Early Spring

🌸🌼🌷🌺🌻  •  🌻🌺🌷🌼🌸

In the early spring of 1962, the river that ran through Maple Glen finally thawed. The ice cracked open in long silver lines, and the water began to move again — slow at first, then with a gentle, determined rush.

On the edge of town lived an older man named Mr. Ellery. He was quiet, steady, and known mostly for the small wooden toys he carved for the children at Christmas. But that spring, he noticed something no one else had:
the footbridge across the river had begun to sag.

It wasn’t broken.
It wasn’t dangerous yet.
But it was tired — the kind of tired that comes from years of carrying people without complaint.

So one morning, without being asked, Mr. Ellery gathered his tools and walked to the bridge. He didn’t make an announcement. He didn’t call a meeting. He simply began to repair what needed mending.

He replaced boards.
He tightened bolts.
He sanded rough edges.
He worked quietly, humming old hymns as the sun warmed the riverbanks.

People passed by and waved.
Some asked what he was doing.
He just smiled and said, “Helping the bridge keep doing its job.”

By the end of the week, the bridge stood straight again — strong, safe, and ready for another season of footsteps.

On Sunday morning, the pastor mentioned it during the service.

“Love is often like that bridge,” he said.
“It carries more weight than anyone realizes.
And sometimes, the holiest work is done by those who quietly strengthen what holds us together.”

The congregation turned to look at Mr. Ellery, who sat in the back row, surprised and a little embarrassed. He hadn’t done it for recognition. He had done it because he saw something that needed care — and he cared.

That spring, the town learned something simple and beautiful:

Love doesn’t always ask for permission.
Sometimes it just shows up with a toolbox.

And because of one man’s quiet initiative, the whole community walked forward with greater confidence — supported by a bridge that was stronger than before.

πŸ΄ A Funny About Melvina the Lone Donkey

🌸🌼🌷🌺🌻  •  🌻🌺🌷🌼🌸

Everyone in town knows Melvina — the lone donkey with the personality of a small marching band and the stubbornness of a thousand mules. Last Tuesday, she wandered past the church yard just as the ladies’ spring cleaning crew was sweeping the sidewalk.
Melvina stopped, stared at the broom, and let out a dramatic sigh that could be heard three counties over.
Sister Hattie said, “Melvina, what’s wrong with you now?”
Melvina blinked slowly, as if delivering a sermon of her own, and brayed:
“Hee‑haw means: I don’t do spring cleaning.”
Then she strutted off — ears high, tail swishing — leaving the ladies laughing and one broom mysteriously missing. (It was later found behind the fellowship hall, where Melvina had apparently tried to use it as a back scratcher.)
And so the legend continues:
Melvina the Lone Donkey — too dignified to work, but never too dignified to cause a little joy.

🌷 A Prayer for Spring’s Beginning

🌸🌼🌷🌺🌻  •  🌻🌺🌷🌼🌸

Heavenly Father,
As spring begins, our hearts lift with gratitude for the promise of new life.
You are the God who melts the winter cold, awakens the earth,
and reminds us that nothing is beyond Your power to renew.

Let this new season stir fresh hope within our church family.
Where faith has grown weary, breathe strength again.
Where hearts feel heavy, shine Your warm and healing light.
Where we have planted in tears, help us look forward to a harvest of joy.

Teach us to grow in grace as the flowers grow toward the sun.
Make our love for one another vibrant and sincere.
Help us walk in forgiveness, kindness, and unity,
so that Your beauty is seen in all we do.

Bless our worship, our fellowship, our service,
and every quiet act of obedience done in Your name.
May this spring be a season of spiritual awakening—
in our homes, in our church, and in every heart that seeks You.

Lord, make all things new in us.
We welcome the fresh work of Your Spirit
as spring begins.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Melvina and the Great Spring Surprise

🌸🌼🌷🌺🌻  •  🌻🌺🌷🌼🌸

Spring had just begun, and the church children were outside hunting for early flowers.
Melvina wandered over, curious as ever, and began sniffing every patch of grass like she was the official inspector of spring.
Little Emma pointed at her and said, “Melvina, are you helping us find flowers?”
Melvina shook her head dramatically and stomped once — the universal donkey sign for absolutely not.
Then, with great ceremony, she lowered her head and nudged something forward with her nose.
It wasn’t a flower.
It wasn’t a leaf.
It was…
a halfeaten carrot she had buried last fall.
The children burst into giggles.
Emma said, “Melvina, that’s not spring!”
Melvina brayed proudly,
“Heehaw means: It sprang right out of the ground, didn’t it?”
“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?”
— Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)

🌿 A Prayer for God’s Blessing Upon Our Church in March

O Lord our God, as we step into the month of March—when winter still lingers but spring begins to whisper—bless our church with renewed strength, deeper faith, and the comfort of Thy presence. March us forward in unity, in holiness, and in love. Let weary hearts find rest, grieving souls find hope, and every believer find courage to trust Thee more.

The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.
Psalm 29:11

🌀️ A True Story for the Grieving and the Weary

“The March Wind and the Window Light”

Years ago, a widowed grandmother named Ruth lived in a small farmhouse on the edge of town. March was always the hardest month for her. It was the month her husband had gone home to be with the Lord, and every year the cold winds seemed to stir up the ache of loss.

One March afternoon, as she sat by the window with her Bible open, a fierce wind rattled the panes. She whispered, “Lord, I’m tired. I’m lonely. I need You to help me through this day.”

At that very moment, a beam of sunlight broke through the clouds and fell directly across her Bible—right on the verse she had been reading:

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee…
Isaiah 41:10

Ruth later said, “It was as if God Himself stepped into the room and sat beside me.”

That day, her grief didn’t vanish, but her strength returned. She said the Lord didn’t take away the storm—He simply lit the window so she could see Him better.

And every March after that, she would tell her grandchildren, “When the winds blow hardest, that’s when God’s light shines sweetest.”

Her story still comforts many who grieve, reminding them that God meets His children in the very month that hurts the most.

πŸ’¬ True, Faithful, Meaningful Quotes From the Heart

  • “God’s mercy walks through March long before spring arrives.”
  • “The Lord does not forget the weary; He gathers them as the shepherd gathers lambs.”
  • “Grief may bend the heart, but grace keeps it from breaking.”
  • “Faith grows stronger when the winds grow colder.”
  • “God’s timing is never late; it is lovingly exact.”
  • “Every prayer prayed in weakness is heard by a God of strength.”
  • “Hope is not the absence of sorrow—it is the presence of God in the midst of it.”

🎢 A Hymn Story About Prayer

“Sweet Hour of Prayer”

William Walford, a blind English preacher in the 1800s, carved small wooden items to support himself. Though he could not see, he had memorized vast portions of Scripture. One day, he recited a poem he had written to a visiting pastor. That poem became the hymn “Sweet Hour of Prayer.”

The hymn was born out of a man’s darkness—yet it shines with the light of heaven.

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things…
Jeremiah 33:3

Walford could not see the world around him, but he saw God clearly in prayer. His hymn still lifts the brokenhearted and strengthens the faint.

🫏 A Lighthearted Moment: Melvina the Lone Donkey

Every church needs a smile in March, so here’s Melvina:

Melvina the Lone Donkey was known for two things:

  1. Her stubborn refusal to walk in a straight line
  2. Her loud opinions about everything

One chilly March morning, the farmer tried to lead her to the barn. Melvina planted her hooves and refused to move. The farmer sighed, “Melvina, why must you always be so difficult?”

Melvina brayed loudly—as if to say, “I’m not difficult. I’m selectively cooperative.”

The farmer finally coaxed her along with a carrot, and Melvina strutted into the barn like she had planned it all along.

The children in church still say:
“Whenever we don’t feel like obeying God, we’re having a Melvina moment.”

Even a donkey can remind us:
Obey my voice, and I will be your God…
Jeremiah 7:23

πŸ™ A Prayer of Faith for Our Church

Heavenly Father, bless our church in this month of March. Strengthen the grieving, renew the weary, and deepen our faith. Let Your Word be our anchor, Your Spirit our comfort, and Your presence our peace. Lead us forward in unity, holiness, and joy. Teach us to pray with confidence, to trust with courage, and to walk with You daily. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Prayer for Our Military, Our Country, Our Leaders, Our Armed Forces, and Our Churches

Almighty God, our Refuge and Strength,
We bow before Thee with grateful hearts, lifting our nation and all who serve it into Thy mighty hands. Thou art the God “in whom we live, and move, and have our being” (Acts 17:28), and without Thee we can do nothing.

For Our Military and Armed Forces

Lord, bless the men and women who stand watch on land, sea, and air. Guard their bodies, steady their minds, and strengthen their spirits. Let no fear overtake them, for Thy Word declares, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1).
Protect their families at home. Surround them with peace that passes all understanding. Let courage rise, and let righteousness guide every step.

For Our Country

Father, have mercy upon our land. Heal the wounds that divide us. Turn our hearts back to Thee. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD” (Psalm 33:12).
Let truth reign, justice stand firm, and compassion flow like living water. Drive out confusion, strengthen what is good, and expose what is evil.

For Our Leaders

We pray for our President, our Congress, our judges, and all who hold authority. Grant them wisdom from above—pure, peaceable, gentle, and full of mercy. Let them seek righteousness, walk humbly, and fear the Lord.
The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD… He turneth it whithersoever he will.” (Proverbs 21:1)

For Our Churches

Bless every church that lifts high the name of Jesus Christ. Strengthen pastors, teachers, and servants of the gospel. Revive the weary. Heal the brokenhearted. Restore the wandering.
Let the fire of the Holy Spirit burn bright again. Let the Word of God run swiftly. Let love abound.
Upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18)

For All Who Are Grieving or Weary

Lord, comfort those who mourn. Lift those who are bowed down. Renew those who feel faint.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” (Isaiah 40:29)
Let Your presence be their peace, Your promises their anchor, and Your love their healing.

Our Closing Prayer

O God of all grace, bless our military, our country, our leaders, our armed forces, and our churches. Keep us faithful. Keep us humble. Keep us strong.
And may Jesus Christ be honored in all we do.
In His holy name we pray, Amen.

Faithful Quotes From the Heart

  • “Strength is not found in the soldier’s arm, but in the Lord who upholds him.”
  • “A nation kneeling in prayer is stronger than an army standing in pride.”
  • “The weary find rest when they lean on the everlasting arms.”
  • “Leadership is safest when guided by Scripture and surrendered to God.”
  • “The church is strongest when it prays the most.”
  • “Grief bows the head, but grace lifts the heart.”
  • “Faith grows in the dark because God shines brightest there.”

A Lighthearted Moment: Melvina the Lone Donkey

Melvina the Lone Donkey heard the farmer praying for the military one morning. She perked up her long ears and brayed loudly—as if volunteering for service.

The farmer chuckled, “Melvina, you can’t join the armed forces.”

Melvina stomped her hoof proudly, insisting she was battle‑ready.

But when a tiny barn mouse ran across the floor, Melvina jumped three feet in the air and hid behind a hay bale.

The farmer shook his head and said,
“Melvina, you’re brave in theory—but terrified in practice.”

The children in church still laugh and say:
“Lord, help us not to be like Melvina—brave only until the mouse shows up!”

And the Scripture reminds us:
Be strong and of a good courage… for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou guest.Joshua 1:9

Great Love of Mine

Great Love of Mine

An Original Hymn

Verse 1

Great Love of mine, before all time,
You spoke the stars to shine above.
You formed my days, You knew my ways,
And crowned my life with steadfast love.
When shadows pressed and fears drew near,
Your whisper calmed this heart of mine;
My refuge strong, my morning song—
O Christ, my Hope, my Love divine.

Chorus

Great Love of mine, forever true,
My soul finds rest and peace in You.
Your mercy flows like endless light;
You hold me fast through darkest night.
Great Love of mine, my all, my King—
My heart will rise, my praise will sing.

Verse 2

Great Love of mine, You bore my shame,
You took the cross I could not bear.
You broke my chains, You called my name,
And lifted me from deep despair.
Your wounded hands now lead me on,
Your grace restores, Your truth refines;
Through every storm, through every dawn,
You stay, O faithful Love of mine.

Chorus

Great Love of mine, forever true,
My soul finds rest and peace in You.
Your mercy flows like endless light;
You hold me fast through darkest night.
Great Love of mine, my all, my King—
My heart will rise, my praise will sing.

Bridge

No power of earth, no fear of man,
No trial fierce, no foe unkind
Can tear me from Your saving hand—
You keep me close, O Love of mine.

Final Chorus

Great Love of mine, forever true,
My life, my breath belongs to You.
Your glory shines, Your grace is free;
You gave Your heart to rescue me.
Great Love of mine, my all, my King—
For endless days my soul will sing.

🎡 “Come to the One Who Loves You Still”

🎡 “Come to the One Who Loves You Still”

©2026 Susan Barker Nikitenko — All Rights Reserved

Verse 1

There’s a whisper in the darkness,
There’s a knocking at your door;
It’s the Savior gently calling,
He has called so long before.
Though your heart has wandered far now,
Though you’ve stumbled in your sin,
Still His mercy keeps on reaching,
Still He bids you enter in.

Chorus

Come to the One who loves you still,
Come to the cross on Calv’ry’s hill;
Come where the broken are made whole,
Come find the rest that fills the soul.
Lay down your guilt, your fear, your will—
Come to the One who loves you still.

Verse 2

He is waiting with compassion,
He is longing to forgive;
For the Shepherd seeks the lost one,
And He died that you might live.
Hear His promise, strong and certain,
Hear His tender, pleading voice:
“Child, I’ll wash your sins forever,
If you turn and make Me your choice.”

Chorus

Come to the One who loves you still,
Come to the cross on Calv’ry’s hill;
Come where the broken are made whole,
Come find the rest that fills the soul.
Lay down your guilt, your fear, your will—
Come to the One who loves you still.

Bridge — (ABCs of Salvation woven in)

A — Admit your need of mercy,
For all have gone astray;
B — Believe the risen Savior
Took your every sin away;
C — Confess Him now as Lord and King,
Let grace begin to fill—
He’ll save the heart that seeks Him,
For He loves you even still.

Final Chorus (softer, invitational)

Come to the One who loves you still,
Come to the cross on Calv’ry’s hill;
Come where the broken are made whole,
Come find the rest that fills the soul.
This is the moment — hear His will…
Come to the One who loves you still.

πŸ’— Craft and coloring -A Valentine Poem: “When We Love God”

Fill This Heart
With Joy

πŸ’— Valentine’s Lesson: “Loving God Brings Blessings”

Theme Verse

“We love him, because he first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19 (KJV)

πŸ’¬ Lesson Summary

Valentine’s Day is all about love — cards, hearts, hugs, and sweet words.
But the greatest love of all comes from God.
He loved us first, and He wants us to love Him back — with all our heart.

When we love God, He blesses us.
He helps our family, gives us peace, and fills our hearts with joy.

But how do we love God?

πŸ“– The Romans Road — The Path to Loving God

  1. To Know Him
    “For all have sinned…” — Romans 3:23
We all need God. We’ve all done wrong. But He still loves us.

  2. To Accept Him
“But God commendeth his love…” — Romans 5:8
Jesus died for us while we were still sinners. That’s real love.

  3. To Believe Him
“That if thou shalt confess…” — Romans 10:9
We believe in Jesus, say it with our mouth, and trust Him in our heart.

  4. To Follow Him
    “For whosoever shall call…” — Romans 10:13
We call on Jesus, and He saves us. Then we follow Him every day.

  5. To Love Him With ALLLLL Our Heart
“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God…” — Matthew 22:37
Not just a little. Not just on Sundays. With ALL our heart.

πŸ’ When We Love God…

  • He blesses our family
  • He gives us peace
  • He helps us forgive
  • He teaches us to love others
  • He fills our hearts with joy

Valentine-themed poem lesson built around the Romans Road, the blessings of loving God, and a gentle rhythm that pairs beautifully with “The Wise Man Built His House Upon the Rock.”

πŸ’— A Valentine Poem: “When We Love God”

We love Him first — He loved us so,
He gave His Son to help us grow.
He died for sin, He rose again,
To bring us peace and life within.

The Romans Road begins the way
We learn of sin and why we stray.
But Jesus came to take our place,
And show us mercy, love, and grace.

We trust His Word, we call His name,
We’re not the same — we’re not the same!
He saves our soul, He makes us new,
And teaches us what love should do.

To love Him back with all our heart,
Is where the blessings truly start.
He helps our family, heals our pain,
And fills our home with joy again.

So on this day of hearts and cheer,
Let’s thank the Lord for drawing near.
Let’s love Him deep, let’s love Him true,
And let His love shine out through you!

🎢 Valentine Song (Tune: “Wise Man Built His House Upon the Rock”)

Verse 1:
When we love God, He blesses us each day,
When we love God, He blesses us each day,
When we love God, He blesses us each day,
Our hearts are full of joy!

Verse 2:
Jesus came to show us perfect love,
Jesus came to show us perfect love,
Jesus came to show us perfect love,
So we can love Him too!

Verse 3:
Love the Lord with all your heart and soul,
Love the Lord with all your heart and soul,
Love the Lord with all your heart and soul,
And He will bless your home!

February 15th, Amazing Grace Baptist Church Bulletin

A Prayer of Love for Our Church

Lord Jesus,

Thank You for loving us with a love that never fails.

You gave everything to rescue us, redeem us, and call us Your own.

Let that love fill our hearts today — not just to receive, but to reflect.

Help us to love one another as You have loved us:

with patience, kindness, humility, and truth.

Let our church be a place where grace flows freely,

where burdens are lifted, and where every soul feels seen and cherished.

Teach us to walk in love —

in our worship, our words, our service, and our daily lives.

May Your love be the light that guides us,

the strength that holds us,

and the joy that overflows from us.

In Your holy name we pray, Amen.

Of course, Susan — and I’ll place it exactly the way you like it.

.

“He Thought of Me”

Original Worship Song

Verse 1

When the cross was placed upon Him,
And the nails were driven in,
He was thinking of the broken,
He was taking all our sin.
Every tear I’ve ever hidden,
Every fear I couldn’t speak,
He carried it with mercy
When He chose to die for me.

Chorus

He thought of me, He thought of me,
When He hung upon that hill at Calvary.
With a love so deep, He set my spirit free,
I was on His heart… He thought of me.

Verse 2

When the crowd that once cried “Hosanna”
Turned their backs and walked away,
Still He offered them forgiveness,
Still He chose the cross that day.
For the ones who would deny Him,
For the ones who’d run and hide,
He kept walking toward the suffering
With my name upon His mind.

Chorus

He thought of me, He thought of me,
When He hung upon that hill at Calvary.
With a love so strong, He faced the agony,
I was on His heart… He thought of me.

Bridge

No greater love has ever been shown,
No deeper grace has ever been known.
He saw my sin, yet still took my place,
He saved my soul with amazing grace.

Final Chorus

He thought of me, He thought of me,
Every moment on the cross was victory.
Now my heart will sing for all eternity—
Jesus gave His life… and He thought of me.

“Love at the Bus Stop”

A True‑Life Style Story of God’s Love

It was one of those winter mornings when the sky looked like brushed steel and the air felt sharp enough to bite. Mrs. Carter stood at the bus stop, bundled in her coat, clutching her grocery bag and trying not to shiver. She had missed her ride, and the next bus wouldn’t come for nearly an hour.

As she waited, she noticed a young mother nearby, struggling with a stroller, a diaper bag, and a toddler who was determined to explore every snowbank in sight. The mother’s face was tired — the kind of tired that sinks into the bones.

Mrs. Carter felt a nudge in her heart. Help her.

She hesitated. Her hands were cold, her feet were colder, and she had her own errands to finish. But the nudge came again — gentle, unmistakable.

So she stepped forward.

“Here, dear,” she said softly, “let me hold the stroller while you get your little one bundled.”

The young mother looked up, surprised. “Are you sure? I don’t want to bother you.”

“It’s no bother,” Mrs. Carter smiled. “God’s helped me more times than I can count. I’m just passing it on.”

The mother’s eyes filled with tears she tried to blink away. “Thank you. I… I really needed that today.”

They talked as they waited — about life, about children, about the quiet ways God sends help when we least expect it. When the bus finally arrived, the young mother hugged Mrs. Carter tightly.

“You showed me God’s love today,” she whispered.

As the bus pulled away, Mrs. Carter felt warmth spread through her chest — a warmth far stronger than the winter cold around her. She hadn’t done anything grand. She hadn’t preached a sermon or solved a crisis. She had simply obeyed a gentle nudge from the Lord.

And in that small act, God’s love had shone brightly.

Later that evening, she opened her Bible and smiled as her eyes fell on a familiar verse:

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.”1 John 4:11 (KJV)

That day at the bus stop, she realized something beautiful: God’s love doesn’t wait for perfect moments. It steps into ordinary ones — through ordinary people — and turns them into holy ground.

The Crucifixion of Christ

The Crucifixion of Christ

The crucifixion of Christ is one of the most staggering moments in all of Scripture — not only because He died, but because of how He died and who usually received that kind of death.

The Cross Was Reserved for the Worst Criminals

In the Roman world, crucifixion wasn’t a normal punishment. It was the most shameful, brutal, and degrading form of execution they had. It was used for:

  • violent criminals
  • rebels and insurrectionists
  • slaves who defied Rome
  • enemies of the state

Roman citizens were almost never crucified — it was considered too disgraceful. The cross was meant to humiliate, torture, and make an example out of someone.

And yet Jesus, the sinless Son of God, was given the punishment reserved for the worst of the worst.

He Took the Place of the Guilty

The irony is breathtaking:

  • Barabbas, a real criminal, was released.
  • Jesus, innocent in every way, was condemned.

It’s a picture of substitution — the guilty goes free, the innocent suffers. That’s the gospel in miniature.

He Was Treated as a Criminal So We Could Be Treated as Children

Isaiah said it long before it happened:

  • “He was numbered with the transgressors.”
  • “The chastisement of our peace was upon Him.”
  • “The Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”

Jesus didn’t just die for sinners — He died as if He were one, carrying the full weight of our guilt, shame, and punishment.

The Cross Shows the Depth of God’s Love

He didn’t die a quiet, dignified death.
He died the most humiliating death the world had to offer.

Why?

Because He was taking the full cost of sin on Himself.
Because He was stepping into our place.
Because He was rescuing us from a punishment we could never survive.

The worst punishment ever devised… taken by the One who never sinned… so that the worst sinners could be forgiven, restored, and loved.

If you want, we can go deeper into:

  • the physical suffering
  • the spiritual meaning
  • the prophetic fulfillment
  • or how this connects to salvation and daily Christian living

“The Earth Shook”

“The Earth Shook”

Original Worship Song

Verse 1

Darkness covered all the heavens,
Silence fell upon the land,
As the Savior bore our sorrows,
Held our judgment in His hands.
Every sin was laid upon Him,
Every burden, every fear,
And creation felt the trembling
As redemption drew near.

Chorus

The earth shook, the veil tore,
Mercy opened wide forevermore.
Love cried out, the chains broke,
Grace was written in the rising smoke.
He gave His life, the whole world awoke—
When the earth shook.

Verse 2

Soldiers stood in awe and wonder,
As the sky grew black as night,
And the Lamb of God surrendered
To the darkness for our light.
But the story wasn’t over,
Death would lose its victory,
For the ground began to rumble
With the power that sets us free.

Chorus

The earth shook, the stone rolled,
Life returned just as the prophets told.
Hope rose up, the grave broke,
Heaven thundered with the words He spoke.
He lives today, and this world still knows—
When the earth shook.

Bridge

Mountains trembled at His glory,
Hell fell silent at His name.
Every promise was completed,
Every sinner can be changed.
What a Savior, what a story—
Love so mighty, love so true.
When the earth shook that morning,
He was thinking of me and you.

Final Chorus

The earth shook, the Son rose,
Every heart He touches overflows.
Joy breaks forth, new life grows,
And His endless grace forever shows.
All creation sings the moment we know—
When the earth shook.

This is a rough draft to remember the song. It needs work but it's a great song.

Where Disobedience Took Him-Where Grace Brought Him

Where Disobedience Took Him-Where Grace Brought Him

Heart‑Wrenching Story PG

Opening

They were a Baptist home shaped by Scripture and prayer. Pastor John preached holiness from the pulpit; Mary, his wife, kept the house with quiet faith. Their son, Daniel, grew up with hymns at the table, Bible verses on his lips, and the steady discipline of parents who loved the Lord.

As he became a young man, another hunger rose in him — not for truth, but for acceptance. He wanted to belong. He wanted to prove he could choose his own way. He began to drift toward a crowd that seemed exciting, bold, and free.

The Parents’ Warnings: Gentle and Strong

They were not silent. They were not careless. They were not blind.

One evening Mary sat with Daniel at the kitchen table, the lamp low, her voice trembling.

“Son, please be careful. These people don’t love you. They don’t love God. They will not protect your soul.”

He pushed his plate away and sighed. “Mom, they’re just friends. You don’t understand.”

Later, when the house was still, Pastor John spoke with the weight of years.

“Son, I’m your pastor as well as your father. I know the spirit behind that crowd. I’ve counseled families torn apart by the very things they’re involved in. I’m asking you — stay away from them.”

When gentle warnings failed, the stronger ones came. John stood in the doorway one night, voice firm, eyes full of fear.

“Son, I’m begging you — don’t go with them. They mock God. They mock righteousness. They will drag you into darkness.”

Mary’s tears fell openly. “Please don’t go! You’re going to get hurt!”

He brushed past them. He believed he could handle it. He believed he was strong enough to walk close to danger without falling in. He did not know how far one step of disobedience would carry him.

The Night Everything Changed

They invited him to a party. The music left a ringing in his ears; the air tasted metallic with spilled drinks. Laughter was loud and reckless. He did not want to be mocked as the pastor’s son, so he drank to fit in.

Drink after drink blurred his thoughts. His guard dropped. Judgment faded. Vulnerability grew.

At one point the conversation turned to tattoos. They showed theirs with pride and laughed about what each mark meant. Then they asked him what he thought.

Even impaired, he answered honestly, not with scorn but with the convictions he had been raised with.

“I don’t believe in marking my body. I want to honor God.”

Silence fell. Faces hardened. A voice muttered, “So you think you’re better than us?” He tried to explain, “No, that’s not what I meant—” but the moment had shifted.

Later, when he was no longer fully conscious, when alcohol had taken his edge of awareness, they took advantage of him. They made choices about his body that were not his to make. They altered his appearance in ways he never agreed to, never wanted, and never imagined.

The Horror, the Flight, and the Final Days

He woke with a pounding head. The night tasted like pennies. Thoughts came slow and tangled. At first he did not remember where he was. Then a wrongness under his skin made him sit up.

His arms felt strange. His chest felt foreign. He looked down and his breath caught.

Where familiar skin had been, there were markings he had never chosen. He stumbled to a mirror. The face that looked back was his and yet not his — buried beneath ink he had not asked for.

His knees buckled. His hands shook. Tears came hot and uncontrollable. “God… what have they done to me?” he whispered, voice breaking. He slid down the wall and pressed his forehead to his knees, the room spinning.

Panic drove him home. Each step was a mixture of fear and hope. Tears blurred the world. Breath came in ragged gasps. He knocked until his knuckles ached.

His parents opened the door and froze. Before them stood a figure covered in ink from head to toe. They did not recognize him. They recoiled.

“Mom… Dad… it’s me…” he pleaded.

They stepped back. His father said, “Sir… you need to leave.” The door closed.

He pressed his forehead to the wood and sobbed—deep, broken sobs that came from the very core of his being. He had never felt so alone.

Weeks became a blur. He wandered the streets—hungry, exhausted, invisible. People stared, avoided him, whispered. No one saw the boy inside the broken shell. His tears became prayers. His heartbreak became repentance. His desperation became a cry for mercy.

“God… I’m sorry. I should’ve listened. I should’ve obeyed. Please don’t leave me.”
“Jesus… please save me. I have nothing left, but please… save me.”

He prayed with the last of his strength. Heaven heard. His body eventually gave out. He died on earth as a stranger—unrecognized, unclaimed, unknown. His parents never learned what had happened. They carried the ache of a missing son for the rest of their lives.

The Vision and the Final Truth

Years later, in the hush of night, far away, another pastor's wife knelt by her bed and prayed as she often did. The house was still; the clock ticked softly. In that quiet, she saw a face she had never known.

The young man looked back from his car like a memory, he looked into her eyes, she saw him, her in the spirit. His eyes were gentle. His expression was peaceful. His skin was clear and unmarked—beautiful in a way that made her chest ache. Who is this? I've never seen him before.

She whispered, “Lord… who is he?”

In the hush, God answered her heart: “This is the one who was hurt. This is the one the world rejected. But I received him. I made him whole.”

A peace washed over her. Then, as if heaven allowed one final whisper to cross the distance, she heard him speak — not with sorrow, but with a calm deeper than grief.

“Tell my parents… my skin is beautiful now. I’m perfect. The devil didn’t win. Deliver this message: "I’m okay now, Mom.”

The vision faded. The room returned to stillness. The message remained — carved into her heart. "I will never forget him. His face is in my heart."

Final Reflection

Where disobedience took him is the saddest story. Where grace took him is the most beautiful.

He died rejected by man, but he awoke accepted by God.
He died unrecognizable on earth, but he awoke restored in heaven.
He died with tears, but he awoke with joy.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

One day his parents will see him again—whole, radiant, restored—held forever in the love that never fails.
