Just A Little Note About My Life - Correction

The Bald Man And His Rottweiler
Apology

Today I want to make a correction on something I had written in this article in 2014.
The article below  was an experience I had with a threatening vicious dog which I believed to be a pit bull, Then I thought it was a boxer.  The dog that lunged at me with his teeth showing while I walking at a nearby park was a rottweiler.   I can say this with no doubt.
I became aware of the mistakes I made concerning what kind of dog it was, after our new neighbors moved in.  They own a rottweiler named Maggie.  When I was told she was a rottweiler I realized I made a mistake in this short article.
I apologize  for the mistakes .... I really don't know too much about dogs, but I know that the dog that lunged at me had been complained about before by other people.  This story I wrote is true, I just could not identify what kind of dog it was.

The Bald Man And His Rottweiler

Recently while walking at a nearby  park I was scared nearly to death by a rottweiler lunging at me.  The dog looked like he wanted to tear me to pieces.  It's a good thing He was on a leash.  Then another day I went walking, the same dog lunged at me, so I backed away and walked calmly away, but I was worried.  Then a third time there was an older woman there walking her smaller dog.  Then I recognized the man walking the same rottweiler.  The rottweiler was reactionary  and the woman's smaller dog wasn't happy either.
I said to the woman," I'm walking with you", I thought," If I'm going to get bit I choose the smaller dog."  I apologized to the lady and told her I was frightened by the rottweiler because it had lunged at me two other times.
Then just a couple days ago I was working on the path and  I could see from a distance the same man with the same dog.  Something else was happening.  A little old lady was all hunched over and her two little dogs were out to get to that rottweiler.  The little old lady was telling her dogs no,  but they wouldn't listen.  The little dogs managed to pull so hard on their leashes that the little old woman fell onto the ground but still managed to hold on to her dogs leashes.   I was worried sick about the lady and took my shovel to protect myself from the rottweiler so I could check on the lady.  The thing is the rottweiler seemed to be under control at that time.  I wasn't going to take any chances.  In my heart I was ready to fight if I had to and asked God to help me.  Her being safe was more important than myself being safe, but when I got there, she had managed to get back on her feet.  I asked her if she needed any help.  She sharply yelled "No!"  So I walked away holding my shovel  and walked a safe distance away from the man and his rottweiler .
I wasn't mad at the lady because I knew she had just been through a horrible ordeal.
-------------------
I was taught somewhere in life to be friendly and be courteous, but sometimes even with people,if they have used you, lied about you or betrayed a trust.  Just like the rottweiler experience, you have to keep your distance until the danger is taken care of.    I'm a very patient person, but even a patient person canonly take so much.
