The Shining Path

The Shining Path

Take the bright and shining pathway;
That leads to perfect day.
Avoid the broad way of this world;
That leads poor souls away.

Away, Away it leads away;
Into eternal death.
Behold instead the lighted path;
That fills dead lungs with breath.

Yes, you are living, yet still dead.
 Turn now! Turn now! I plea.
Behold the cross of Christ ahead;
He shed His blood for thee.

Are you a child of God my friend;
 Who’s faith, has failed the test?
Look up, Look up, see lighted cross;
Strive now to give your best.

Avoid the path where dead men walk;
Obey our God’s commands.
Fear now, fear now, avoid today;
The Lord’s chastening hands

How frightening to walk alone;
Stumbling along the way.
Upon a darkened unknown path;
That steals your worth away.

Grasp the Truth, the lantern of love.
The Truth will set you free.
Set your feet on the shining path.
Make Christ your destiny.

Find then my friend the joy of God.
Find then a place of rest.
Find then the answer, for your need;
In Christ you will be blessed.
