God Spoke To My Heart

Luke 1:32 - 33
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

God Spoke To My Heart

The Lion Of Judah

This morning,  just before I woke up, the Lord spoke to my heart.  I thought of the little lion I had made.  I was all bothered that one foot seemed bigger than the other.
I thought of my Dad who had one leg smaller than the other, but  It never changed how I felt about him. I loved him even though He wasn't perfect.  I never once thought of him as lame.
It wasn't perfect so when I sewed the paws I adjusted things a little to make them
the same.  We know, however, that Christ is perfect not one blemish, not one spot.

While I was thinking about these things.

I heard in my heart a still small voice and it said.  "My hands and feet were pierced  for you."  Then I thought of the little lion, I  pierced his feet and his hands while I was making him.
Then God spoke to my Heart again and said,  "The Lion Of Judah".

It was becoming very clear to me that God was speaking to my heart about a lesson.
I  feel very blessed that God spoke to my heart about these things.

Then I remembered  before I went to bed last night. I wrote "finished" below the picture I took of the lion I made, crossing his little legs as though His job was finished.

"It is finished" was the last words before Jesus died.  He was saying by those words,
"I came to die for you."  He had finished the job he came to do. He died, arose and lives forevermore.   Now He's on His thrown beside the Father in heaven.

He became sin for us.  Our sins were paid in full and when we trust Him, He rules and reigns in our hearts.

I was stunned and excited that God had spoken to my heart and as I woke up.  I excitedly told my husband.  "Honey, God gave me a lesson about the lion I made."
God reminded me about the "Lion of Judah".  The little lion is the Lion of Judah.
God gave me a lesson about salvation and How Christ will return and rule and reign.

He came into this world as like a lamb, but He will rule as a The LION OF JUDAH.

Worthy Of Celebration

Worthy Of  Celebration

I was asking myself this question today.  Why is the celebrating of Jesus being born biblical?

Christmas is one of the greatest spiritual events that has ever taken place in history.  God himself opened the heavens and sent  a celebrating band of angels.  These angels  I'm sure sang though the bible does not say so.

One of the reasons I believe they sang is that some angels have musical instrument in their bodies.   The bible says that they rejoiced and many times we too will gather to rejoice together on joyous occasions.  Most the time rejoicing includes music and singing.
Heaven is full of music, singing and praising, so even if they did not sing.  To think they may have  would not be unreasonable, knowing that God himself put musical instruments in some angles bodies.  They were living instruments of music.

God chose to have a great event to announce the Christ Child being born.  He did not have to open the skies of heavens glories to reveal something wonderful to lowly shepherds.  He did not have to let them witness the rejoicing of heavenly angels.  He could have chose some other way, but it was a celebration.

He chose to tell us of the celebration in His Word.  God made sure that Christ's birthday was recognized as a great day, and what a great day it still is.  God chose to make it part of His holy Word.   The historical occurrence has lead many people in the dark spiritually to the light of the world, (Jesus our Savoiur.)

Just as the shepherds watched their sheep in a dark night,
God's heavenly angels filled the dark skies with light.
God then opened their eyes to fully understand.
That God, that night had provided himself a lamb.

The occasion called for something special from heaven's bright land.  A celebration of God's promise of a Saviour fulfilled.
Jesus'  birth is totally worthy of celebration.  With rejoicing, singing and praising God.

Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb

(This is old testament prophecy of God providing the lamb of God, His Son,
as the sacrifice for our sin.)
