Father In Heaven
I sing to you Yahweh, here in the still.
Feel now my heart beat,
see now my care;
Be with the grieving, now sick in their tears .
Be with the mother that lost her dear son;
Be with the families that need compassion.
Be with our nation with so much to do;
I pray that our leaders will turn back to You.
Be with the children all over the world;
I pray that someone will teach of you Lord.
I pray they find safety and they'll be okay;
And their hearts shielded
by mercy today.
I pray that they find peace, though this world cruel.
I pray they find strength in salvations fuel.
Be with the persecuted and the hungry;
Be with the elderly and the lonely.
Teach me to pray for
what needs to be prayed;
Teach me to love in your most holy way.
Open the heavens with much needed things.
And fill my lips with a new song to sing.
