I turned on the radio on the day after Thanksgiving Day. I found a sermon being preached and started listening to the last part of the program when I heard “The name of Jesus is not as important as God’s Word.” Now, I do not know what was said after that because I clicked it off. I had never heard that before. It was something new and unusual to say.
The verses about Jesus’s name came to my mind and also Hymns
sung about Jesus’s name.
Philippians
2:9-11
Wherefore
God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every
name:
That at
the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in
earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

*Mary and Joseph did not name Jesus, but Gabriel told them what Jesus’s name was to be. Mathew 1:21-22. God named Jesus.
And she shall bring
forth a son, and thou
shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their
sins.
* Most Marters came from th 20th century many
were told to deny Jesus Christ or Die.
Acts 4:10- 12
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel,
that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God
raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you
builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there
is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
*Jesus and God’s Word Are Just as Important – The Word was made Flesh
John 1:1
¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any
thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
In John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among
us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)
full of grace and truth.
*If we were to replace Jesus Christ’s Name with any other
name it would make the Bible a lie. Jesus’s
Name and The Bible are just as important and can not be separated without compromising
the truth of God’s Word.
If you remove Jesus Christ from the Bible – You remove the truth from the Bible.
Jesus said in, John
14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but by me.
The Bible Points To Jesus In Every Chapter.
We sing about Jesus, we pray in his name.
Bring joy to our Father and glory the same.
We believe in his power, His love we proclaim.
And those who will trust him forever are changed.
