When I Think Of Father - corrections and additions

When I Think Of A Father

When I  think of a father,  I think of a strong man;
Who cherishes his family and protects the home.
In this world there's  danger,  in this world there is sin;
But the love of the strong man won't let it come in.

His children are his blessing, his quiver is full;
His children look up to him, knowing he's wonderful.
There is just no one like daddy in their eyes;
He is someone special  and he is so wise.

They see his love for mother, who is his best friend;
They see his strong hands and know they can trust him.
They follow in his footsteps where ever He goes;
And every single question, he seems to know.

When I think of a father, I think of a friend;
That I can depend on and spend time with him.
I know he is there when I need him there;
Who always takes time to listen and to care.

There is just no  one like dad, in this whole wide world;
A strong man who provides and seeks to please  the Lord.
That's the kind of father, God wants each dad to be;
To love the Lord his God and love his family.

Thank-you for strongmen who stand  for what is right;
Who love the Lord their God with all their might.
That God will bless Him and each one in his care;
A man that will lift each child in his prayers.

When children are little they think their dad is the smartest daddy in the whole wide world.  Daddy is their hero and hopefully their friend.  They want to be just like him when they grow up or if it's a daughter your the kind of man she wants to marry.

No matter what kind of dad you are.  The example you give your kids will last generations.  Your children will be influenced by who you are and the character you have shown in your lifetime.  Though you may be a wonderful father - but have not been saved.  Without Him your goodness will not last for eternity in God's site.  The Bible teaches us that our righteousness is as filthy rags to God.  God's blessing follows the home that has chosen to put Him first in their personal  lives and also  as a family.  This happens through trusting Christ and believing in the miracle of Calvary and the Resurrection.  The miracle of salvation unto all those who believe and give their lives to Christ.

Mark 3:27
No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
Ephesians 6:4
 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
