Someone Needs To Care
What if your child were lost somewhere;
Out in this mean dangerous world?
Would you want someone to fight for you;
And pray they be found, to the Lord?
What if your child were crying somewhere;
Wanting you to be there with him?
Would you be so ready to criticize:
The people who are willing to help him?
What if someone took your daughter;
Who filled your days with her sunshine?
What if someone took your mother;
And hid her away for no one to find?
What if they had to become beggars;
Out in the cold streets of Harlem?
And they could not find their way home;
But someone found them to harm them?
Someone needs to care for the lost.
Someone needs care for their soul;
Someone needs to pray that they're safe;
Someone needs pray they stay whole.
I'm sure if it were your child in danger;
You'd be ready to spread the word.
If your tears would be unheeded;
When not a one person gives a stir.
I'm sure you'd be compassionate;
When someone else needs a caring friend.
And you'd be ready for the call.
When someone needs help finding them.
