💖 Too Busy Praying to Put Others Down: A Call to Holy Humility

💖 Too Busy Praying to Put Others Down: A Call to Holy Humility

"Pray without ceasing."1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV) "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."Philippians 2:3 (KJV)

🌿 A Prayerful Posture, Not a Pedestal In a world quick to critique, swift to judge, and eager to elevate self, Scripture beckons us toward a different rhythm. A rhythm shaped by grace, humility, and prayer. A life where we’re too engaged in heaven’s conversation to engage in earthly condemnation. The deeper our prayer life, the less room there is to puff ourselves up—because prayer levels the ground and reminds us who we truly are without God’s mercy.

🌤️ Prayer Washes Away Pride Those who walk with the Lord in constant communion find that ego is gently eroded. Not because we’ve forgotten who we are—but because we’ve remembered who He is. In His presence, we can’t help but regard others with compassion. We’re too busy carrying burdens in prayer to pile stones of judgment.

When your heart is whispering intercession and your soul is tuned to heaven’s frequency, criticism loses its sting and comparison loses its grip.

⚖️ The Measure of Grace God’s Word commands us to “esteem others better than ourselves.” That’s not weakness—it’s divine strength. It’s the posture of Christ, who knelt to wash feet and wore a crown of thorns so we could wear a robe of righteousness.

To esteem others is to say:

  • “I see the image of God in you.”

  • “I’m not here to outshine—I’m here to uplift.”

  • “Your worth isn’t measured by my opinion but by His sacrifice.”

📿 Prayer Redirects the Heart Every time we bow our heads or lift our eyes in prayer, we’re surrendering the right to be right. We’re surrendering pride, envy, gossip, and bitterness. We’re saying, “Lord, change me first before I try to change others.” It’s in that sacred surrender that lives are transformed.

Prayer doesn’t just change circumstances—it changes character.

🌼 A Spirit of Grace in a World of Grievances Let’s be known not by the weight of our arguments but by the weight of our prayers. Let our legacy be written in love, not in debates won. Let our hearts be altars, not platforms.

🙏 Too Busy Praying to Put You Down Because prayer is not a weapon to wield against one another—it’s the balm of heaven for wounded hearts. Because grace is too beautiful not to share—and humility too holy to ignore. Because if Christ humbled Himself for our sake, we can kneel in spirit for others.

And if our days are marked by unceasing prayer, our lives will be marked by unshakable love.

Asking Forgiveness

Asking Forgiveness

 When we became born again we do not have to ask God for forgiveness anymore, even if we did something wrong. We confess our sins but no longer have to ask forgiveness.  True Or False

Mathew 6:9 -15 .....vrs 12
After this manner, therefore, pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
(We must get our own hearts right with our brother/sister before God will forgive us.)
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

When we sin we hurt our relationship with the Heavenly Father. We grieve the Holy Spirit. When we have gone on without restoring that relationship by asking forgiveness and the confessing of our sins, we can not live in the peace and joy the Lord has spoken of to us. Our lives will not exemplify the Holy Spirit's attributes in our lives. Sometimes this also happens when our faith has been tried for a very long period of time and we begin to doubt. We have to restore our relationship with our Heavenly Father just like we do with people. God will not bless our prayer if we have ought against our brother/sister The Bible tells us to first go to our brother/sister then God will bless our prayers. Your brother or sister will never be able to say you didn't try. God wants you to forgive your brother/sister from the heart, even if they will not accept your attempts to restore a relationship with them. Then our prayers will be heard for our own forgiveness. If we are truly saved you cannot lose our salvation, but an unforgiving heart means a disobedience has hindered our relationship with God. Therefore, our effectiveness as a Christian is also hindered. God's will is for us to humble ourselves even if we are not the guilty one. If we do this God will bless us for our obedience and give us the grace to love those that do not love us.

The Biggest Tree

The Biggest Tree

The biggest tree;
Is  the smallest flea.
Who loves the Lord;
In humility.

A humble soul;
Forgiven of sin.
Remembers what;
Was given to him.

A life brand new;
Through the blood of Christ.
The Lamb of God;
Who was sacrificed.

A comforter;
Who abides within.
Who gives us strength;
In troubled winds.

A brand new heart;
And brand new song.
And brand new friends;
To sing along.

The biggest tree;
Is servant of all.
A humble soul;
That will not fall.

Quilted In Love

Quilted In Love

God- see's the beginning:
God see's the final end.
Life is stitched - in His love;
And sings within the wind.

Like a- loving mother;
Crochets or quilts a gift.
God is quilting in His love;
With golden threads adrift.

When troubles and great trials;
Seem to crash- all around.
Not a sin-gle voice of cheer;
In this world - can be found.

We find ourselves asking;
Is our Lord in control?
Has He left me here alone?
Does He care for my soul?

In this world of trouble;
Confusing, though it be.
God's golden threads of hope;
Gives hope, when we can't see.

Stitching here , mending there;
With precision, designed.
He is busy stitching;
A quilt that's golden lined.

Like a quilt upon His knee;
He holds each child with care.
He knows all our weaknesses'
He knows when there's despair.

He knows all of our needs;
and our choices and plans.
He knows the pain that we feel;
Like the prints in His hands.

Each quilt is valuable;
A golden lined life displayed.
A quilt designed, unique;
With worth that can't be weighed.

Will you yield to His quilting?
Will you desire His will?
As He's quilting His purpose;
In humility kneel?

If a quilt lays down yielded;
God's golden threads will gleam.
And to the world around it;
Jesus will clearly be seen.

Romans 6:13
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
1John 3:16
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
