A Quilt Prayer for the Church

Lord Jesus, Master Quilter of our souls, We come to You as a church family— a patchwork people, gathered from many stories, woven together by Your grace.

You take the scraps we bring— our joys and our sorrows, our strengths and our weaknesses, our victories and our failures— and You stitch them into something far more beautiful than any piece alone.

Teach us to see one another as essential patches in Your design. Help us honor the bright colors of celebration and handle gently the faded pieces of those who are weary. Let no one feel too small, too frayed, or too worn to belong in the quilt You are making.

Bind us together with the strong thread of Your love. Sew patience into our seams, humility into our corners, and forgiveness into every joining line. Where we are torn, mend us. Where we are crooked, straighten us with grace. Where we are unfinished, continue Your faithful work.

May our church become a covering of comfort for the hurting, a banner of hope for the searching, and a warm shelter of truth for every soul You send.

And when the world looks upon us, may they not see perfect stitches, but Your perfect hands— piecing us in love, stitching us in surrender, and quilting us into a testimony that only You could create.

In Your holy name, Jesus, the One who makes all things new, Amen.
