Here Are Thoughts About Two Views: Salvation

Here Are Thoughts About Two Views:  Salvation

If someone were to ask me "How do people acquire salvation?," It would not be by living good enough.  People who never enter His rest, will do many good works, to earn their way to heaven.  They still will never live good enough. Though this is commendable, from a human standpoint.

God's word tells us, "Our righteousness is like filthy rags".
That's why God did everything for us at Calvary.  We simply need to trust that His love led Him to take care of it for us.  God sent his Son out of His great love.  He paid the price for us and that made all those that trust, believing upon Christ, good enough.  We can rest in knowing
that we are not good enough and will never be good enough, to make it into heaven on our own.
It's all about what Christ did at his death and at his resurrection.  He did the work required for salvation.  We never could pay our sin debt by ourselves. He paid our debt.  It was paid in full.
He justified us through faith by "His work" alone. He willingly laid down his life for us.

It only takes one sin.... No one can live that kind of perfect life.  The bible says, If we break one of the commandments, in one point, then we are guilty of breaking all.  That sin could even seem very small to us, but sin is sin.  We are all guilty until Christ declares us innocent through His shed blood, in that we become genuine born again believers.  Then the gift of salvation is applied base upon those terms.

I'm so glad Christ did not leave salvation up to my good works, though I do try to please Him with my life.  When he sees me, He sees someone His Son died for and accepted the gift of His salvation.  Then at the time of salvation, I became a Child of God, as all who will trust Him.  Our works will prove our faith, but our works will not save us.  All the credit will go to Christ for our salvation.  That's called giving Him glory and not our own works.

Father God,  There are some people who think they could never be saved because of some of the things they've done in life.  I think of Paul who actually persecuted and killed Christians, or the Woman at the well who had seven husbands, or the woman caught in adultery.   All of these people found your mercy and were saved at the moment of belief and trusted in you. I pray Lord you'll speak to hearts today and anyone wanting to accept your gift will call upon your name right now and receive you into their heart and life.

 The people from scriptures, I mentioned, They repented and turned to Christ for salvation.  He did not reject them but made them part of the family of God.  They turned from one life to a life living for God through Jesus Christ our Lord. You can do that too.

When God says something, He never lies.

 Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Let Our Hearts Be Right

Let Our Hearts Be Right

Let our hearts be right,
That in this world we might,
Make a difference;
In somebody's life.

Let our hearts be right,
That by grace we might;
Be the difference;
That brings somebody life.

Devotion and love;
For our God above.
Resistant of sin;
Surrendered to Him.

May our lips reply;
With joy from on high.
That Jesus still lives;
Still loves and forgives.

May amazing grace;
Keep us in God's ways.
Drawing close to Him
In rev'rence and praise.

Let our hearts be right,
As we fight the fight;
That makes a difference;
In somebody's life.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
