Pointing Fingers

Pointing Fingers

There will always be people pointing fingers;
At somethin' someone else needs to change.
But every time you point your bony finger;
When three point back, don't think it is strange.

While someone suffers wrongly because of you;
Pointing where, pointing should not be.
Remember God sees the inside of you;
He will judge you, just as harshly.

The fear of the Lord is the start of wisdom;
His judgement will fall where it may.
With the same judgement, whether of hate or love;
That same judgement, you'll face one day.

Matthew 7:2 KJV

This is a song about judging others wrongly.  God hates sin and He wants us all to change in someway. It does not give us the opportunity to treat other people badly who need changed. We must pray for them and love them and ask God to change them but most of all we need to change ourselves.  It's about the attitude of the heart, even if we have to withdraw.

A Peaceful Hug -

A Peaceful Hug

Even though God knows all,
Even though He's in control,
Sometimes things happen in our lives;
That seems to takes it's toll.

Sometimes I feel weary;
Sometimes even teary.
Then I pray, "Refresh me Jesus;
Your Spirit strengthens me."

Whether on a mountain,
Or in a valley of sheep;
Our Saviour always knows and cares;
The life we live and keep.

He hears the heartful pray'r;
He holds our lives as dear.
Each, whisper that we speak to Him;
He hears them very clear.

Like a child in His arms;
His love has rescued me;
Carried me through the worst of things;
He took hold of my plea.

He heard ev'ry thought;
He knew ev'ry need.
When words were just too hard to speak;
I didn't have to plead.

Jesus, rescues His child;
From the snares of all sin.
And is constantly restoring;
He revives us again.

Through anger and distrust;
Or sadness and despair.
Our Father watches over us;
Because He more than cares.

In just a whisper, soft,
He warms our hearts of clay;
Repairs it with a peaceful hug;
That brings a song of praise.

He watches over us;
In times of happiness.
He watches over all his children;
Through this life and death.

Through the worst and the best;
We are blest, even so;
To have been embraced by God's love;
His Salvation, to know.

In just a whisper, soft,
He warms our hearts of clay;
Repairs it with a peaceful hug;
That brings a song of praise.
