Christmas Is A Way To Love

Christmas Is A Way To Love

 There's joy In knowing Jesus;
Was sent to us for Christmas.
He is what it's all made of.
Christmas is a way- to love.

Not presents or the money;
Not flowers from my honey;
Not pretty lights on the tree;
Though It's true I love all these.

Though we love, Christmas thrills;
And shopping Christmas deals.
Decorating everything;
And the carols that we sing.

Though we all like pretty things;
It's not about diamond rings.
Not about our own druthers.
It's about loving others;

The greatest of all reasons:
Is Jesus in the season.
He is what it's all made of.
Christmas is a way - to love.

Though some of us love gadgets;
Or perfumes in a basket.
Some might love those flashy cars.
Some a necklace lined in stars.

Though we love the Christmas gifts;
The fulfillment of a wish.
What if it one day it was gone?
Jesus needs to be our song.

Jesus is the joy of Christmas;
He's the reason  that we give.
He is what it's all made of.
Christmas is a way- to love.

---------

I Love Christmas Carols And I Sing Them Every Christmas.  I Think They Will Always Be Part Of Me Because Some Of My Fondest Memories Surround The Traditional Songs Of Christmas.  But Jesus Needs To Be The Most Important Song In Our Hearts At Christmas And All Year Long.  He Needs To Be The Motive Behind Our Living And Behind Our Giving.

This Song Can Lead Up To The Teaching Of Contentment In The Diolog.

Though God May Bless Us With Things.. We Should Not Be Controlled By The Wanting Of Something Other.

"What Is That?" - Just A Little Note From My Past

Just A Little Note From My Past

"What Is That?"

When I was a preteen, my sister, my cousin and I had just turned the lights out to go to bed.  When suddenly we could hear something flying around the room.  "What Is That?"  One of us yelled.
We were scared and I started calling out to my dad, but he was sleeping and would not answer, so I called out to my brother and he too was sleeping, so no help came.  I laid there frightened along with my sister and cousin.  We wouldn't so much as raise one of our hands  into the air.  It didn't sound like a fly or a mosquito.  We knew it couldn't of even been an unusually large mosquito.  Whatever it was it was big.  So I finally decided something had to be done.  Whatever it was - we were afraid it could come down upon us at any moment.  So I came up with a plan to get to the light switch.  No standing was required until I could make it to the wall that had the light switch.   I slithered to the bottom of the bed, pulled the sheet loose at the bottom and slipped down closely to the bed,  onto the floor, then slid across our hardwood flooring and slid up the wall to flip  the light switch.  As soon as the light came on,  the flying whatever instantly was not flying and was completely hidden from sight.   My dad was finally awakened from all the excitement. We were far from quiet, believe me!  We looked everywhere, but where could it be?  My dad pulled back one of our curtains and there it was.  It was looking at us, making a noise and it had sharp teeth.  It was a brown mean looking bat.  It wasn't as big as we thought it would be, but it was still scary and we didn't want to get bit by it either.

My dad captured the bat by letting it drop into a paper bag.  We giggled while getting back into bed and finally we were able to sleep without fear for the rest of the night.

Thought: The bat liked darkness rather than light.

Thought: Sometimes we can't see the danger but we know it's there.

Thought: Sometimes things are hidden, but in time are found.

Scripture:
1 Corinthians 4:5
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.  (motives)

. God will judge
