An Old Time Preacher Praised the Lord - By: Susan Y Nikitenko

An Old Time Preacher Praised the Lord
By: Susan Nikitenko

An old time preacher praised the Lord;
Through both thick and thin.
When placed into a nursing home;
Still had joy within.

He rode his wheelchair here and there;
Singing all the day.
He talked of Jesus and His love;
Showing men the Way.

When forbidden to wheel around;
He stayed on his bed.
He did not gripe or grump, nor groan;
But He sang instead.

In glee he served his mission field;
Others watched Him glow.
He left behind a legacy;
It will surely grow.

His children and grandchildren,
Fellowman and friend;
Were all impacted by his joy;
Shining ‘till the end.

Let us sing in times of trouble;
We will touch this world.
Just like that old time preacher did;
Praising our dear Lord.

Because You’re Worthy to Be Praised - By: Susan Y Nikitenko

Because You’re Worthy to Be Praised

I want to write a new song;
And sing so all can hear.
How you changed my life completely;
Wiped away my flowing tears.

I want to sing it outright;
Praises to your precious name.
In the morning and at night;
Everyday no shame.

Because you’re worthy to be praised;
Your hands were wounded for me.
One day I will see your face;
With thanks for setting me free.

This world seems so far from you;
Many have turned aside.
Please, use my serving hands for thee;
And close to you I’ll hide.

Because you’re worthy to be praised;
Your feet were wounded for me.
One day I will walk with you;
Touch your cheek so tenderly.

I will tell you how I love you;
Because you first loved me.
Oh, what a day, great and wonderful day;
To behold your face and say.

You are worthy to be praised;
Your side was wounded for me.
And I will fall down on my face;
Loving, praising you eternally.

 Psalms 18:3
 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
